The Evil Lord's Wife Has Spirit Blood-Chapter 305
While Michelle and Alexander were fighting, Ivona stepped closer to Anastasia. They had already finished collecting the Elemental Giant Scorpion’s blood and had nothing to do.
"Her power raised?" Anastasia motioned with her chin toward Michelle.
When Ivona nodded, she continued asking, "How much?"
Ivona shook her head. "A lot... I can’t tell how much."
Anastasia felt like something suddenly pressed on her stomach. "Just what did she do for her power to raise so much?"
The fact that Ivona couldn’t grasp Michelle’s power meant that she was at least a whole rank above Ivona. And maybe even more.
That made Anastasia worried. Such big leaps in power could only come with a great price.
"With that much power, she could definitely go to the upper realm now," Anastasia finally said.
Hearing that, Ivona turned to stare at Anastasia. "That’s true..." she nodded slowly. "And it would probably help her."
For a while, Anastasia and Ivona talked in hushed voices before reaching a conclusion.
Michelle still had unfinished business that started back in the Land of Exile and ended up waiting for her in the upper realm. Namely the Ostrich family. And her father, Philip Grace, was also waiting for her.
Unlike her, Ivona, Anastasia, and Kieran had nothing to do in the upper realm. They could stay in the middle realm for as long as they liked.
Ivona had her family, the Beltrez family, in the Land of Exile, but her relationship with them was highly negative.
Anastasia was from a noble family in the Land of Exile. But they married her off as a concubine to the Emperor when she was quite young, so her relationship with them was extremely strained.
And Kieran, the last one of the group, no longer had any family. They were all dead, executed by the Emperor.
So, the two girls concluded that Michelle should go to the upper realm alone.
Anastasia, Ivona, and Kieran couldn’t go with her. They weren’t on a high enough level to cross the barrier of the Heavenly Law.
But without anyone waiting for them, they could take their time cultivating, with no reason to rush anything.
While Anastasia and Ivona talked, Michelle finished messing with Alexander. She retracted her spirit energy and looked toward them. The way they had their voices lowered made Michelle wonder what they were scheming.
It was clearly something.
"What are you two planning?" she left Alexander alone and went to the two of them.
Anastasia and Ivona were calm. "You want to go to the upper realm, right?" Ivona started.
Michelle raised a brow. She didn’t even think about it that much, but it did cross her mind. "What makes you think so?"
Ivona shrugged. "It was simple. The whole time, you keep glancing around, and your gaze always ends up directed toward the upper realm. You didn’t realize it yourself?" She smiled wickedly. It was funny to sometimes see Michelle uncertain. It was a rare sight.
Michelle sighed a bit. "I didn’t..." she nodded. "I didn’t think about it yet." She sat down on the hot ground of the volcanic mountain. "But you are right. I do want to go to the upper realm." Her voice was quite calm as she spoke. "But I still have things here to take care of."
Ivona landed a slap on the back of Michelle’s head. "Don’t forget you have your friends to help you."
Michelle rubbed the back of her head, glaring at Ivona a bit. "What was that for?" she grumbled.
Ivona shrugged. "I felt like it."
Michelle suppressed a laugh. "Then, I’ll go to the upper realm. But before that, I’ll introduce you to the girls from the information guild."
If Michelle’s guess was right, they should have all already broken through into the Divine rank and entered the middle realm. And since that was the case, they could leave Mavreth’s sect and start spreading their influence across the middle realm.
Michelle didn’t stay in the middle realm for much longer. She went to find the information guild and introduced them to Ivona and Anastasia. They then agreed that when Ivona and Anastasia would go to the upper realm along with Kieran, they would take some girls from the information guild along with them, so its influence could spread even there.
To be able to communicate, Michelle gave them pairs of connected spirit stones, Communication Stones, which worked similarly to a walkie-talkie.
After finishing all that, Michelle summoned Tenether, got on his back, and had him fly toward the upper realm. To speed things up, she wrapped her soul energy around him, creating a pseudo-rift.
Flying above the middle realm, Michelle closed her eyes lazily, sleeping through most of the journey. She found the situation quite funny.
Originally, when she found out that the Hilberg family, which was from the middle realm, was behind the death of her mother, she decided never to go to the middle realm. She even took her revenge by only sending Mare and Snow instead of going herself.
But then, by entering Mavreth’s sect, she was forced to go to the middle realm. Because the only exit of the sect was in the middle realm.
She went against what she had decided.
But not all that much.
Except for the people in the sect, there was not a single person from the middle realm she had interacted with. All the time, she stayed in forests and mountains, avoiding people.
And that was all on the perimeter of the middle realm. She didn’t go deep into the realm.
Only when she was flying to the upper realm did she enter the depths. And she didn’t even look down to see how the people lived there.
Tenether flew fast above the cities and towns, unnoticed by people.
In the middle realm, it wasn’t rare for people to ride flying beasts, so no one even bothered to look up when a shadow passed above their heads.
When Tenether felt the presence of the barrier of the Heavenly Law, he landed on the ground.
Michelle hopped off his back, looking around lazily. She was standing in front of a huge valley. There was probably the barrier.
Getting to the bottom of the valley, Michelle stretched her hand out in front of her before walking forward. Until the moment she felt something hard block her hand.
That meant the Heavenly Law didn’t notice that Michelle’s Shadow Mastery was on a high enough rank to pass through.
And also that Michelle was over the Monarch rank in Spirit Mastery. But even she herself wasn’t aware of that yet.
Staring at her hand, Michelle wondered whether she should pass through the barrier right away to see how it would react, or first test a few things on it.
Both could be interesting.
The obvious answer seemed to be testing her theories first before passing the barrier, but Michelle had an idea. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
If she passed through the barrier first, trained her shadow essence a bit in the upper realm, and then returned to test her theories, she would have more power and control in case something went wrong.
She knew that against the nearly omnipotent power of the Heavenly Law, that little difference was basically nothing, but with enough wits, even a small difference could make big changes.
So, with that in mind, Michelle summoned both her spirit and soul energy, letting it chaotically course around her body.
The next moment, she felt the resistance under her palm decrease.
But before she could push enough spirit energy into her hand for the barrier to open for her, she frowned a bit, noticing something strange.
Instantly retracting her hand, she stared down at her palm. "Tene!" she turned to the big black bird that had lazily landed on the ground.
Tenether tilted his head curiously, as if asking what was going on.
"After I absorbed the Life Stones, did my power increase?" Michelle asked with a slight frown.
The feeling when she pushed her spirit energy into the barrier of the Heavenly Law was different compared to other times she did it. It was true that it was a different barrier since she was crossing between different realms, but it was still supposed to feel nearly the same in most aspects.
Before, Michelle had felt like the Heavenly Law was an invisible wall blocking her path, and from it came vines that wrapped around her hand, preventing further movement. But at the moment, it was like the invisible vines were gone and only the wall remained.
That caused Michelle to think that her power might have significantly risen, not only when it came to Shadow Mastery, but also in Spirit Mastery.
And it would have made perfect sense since she had absorbed the Life Stones of monsters, and all Life Stones contain an abundance of spirit energy.
She had absorbed it all.
Staring at Tenether, Michelle waited for the answer like she was waiting for a verdict from a judge, deciding whether she would receive a death sentence or not.
And the answer came.
When Tenether chirped, Michelle could hear his words within her mind. "You didn’t notice, Michelle?" he asked like a child who didn’t understand why someone didn’t see something so obvious.
Hearing that, Michelle frowned. She knew that her body must have undergone many changes, but she thought she was aware of the biggest ones.
But that clearly wasn’t the case.
For all she knew, her body could have undergone major changes she didn’t notice.
For her own safety, it would be in her best interest to find out about all the changes as soon as possible.
