Chapter 333: 333

Pushing herself away from Alexander, Michelle stumbled a few steps to the side before hunching over in a quite twisted position, instantly throwing up.

She didn’t even know when it was she last ate or what it was, but nothing except her stomach acids remained to vomit.

When she could no longer throw up, Michelle stayed hunched over for a while, still feeling the reflex to throw up.

And that just made her feel worse, because she felt like her insides were moving.

After a while, when Michelle finally calmed down, she straightened up a bit, wiping her mouth.

She felt terrible.

So terrible that even seeing the state Alexander was in didn’t bring up her mood.

And she always enjoyed seeing him suffer.

Alexander wasn’t feeling any better.

Since Michelle had poisoned him, he had been following her around, ignoring the fact that it caused the poison to spread further through his body.

So, at the moment, it felt like his whole body was on fire and his bones were being ground together.

Still, he walked over to Michelle, leaning on her from behind.

It seemed his possessiveness wouldn’t disappear no matter what.

Feeling Alexander against her, Michelle twisted her hand back and placed it on his neck.

She didn’t even realize that after she had absorbed the Orange Widow’s Life Stone, her movement was far from that of a human.

So, when she lifted her hand behind her, she did it by basically twisting her hand backwards through the elbow joint, something no human could really do.

With Michelle’s hand on his neck, Alexander didn’t know what she was planning to do, but he let her do as she liked.

Michelle summoned all her energies and gathered them on her palm before sending, basically forcing, them into Alexander’s neck, and from there to spread around his body.

Alexander’s eyes narrowed as he felt the mix of shadow essence and soul and spirit energy forcing its way through his body.

It wasn’t exactly comfortable.

But he didn’t say anything.

Especially after he felt the effect it had on him, or rather, the poison within him.

The energies forced all the poison into a single spot in Alexander’s neck, which quite obscured his breathing.

There, the energies wrapped like a ball around the poison before Michelle started pulling the energies back.

As the energies returned to Michelle’s hand, Alexander could feel something wet on his neck, under Michelle’s hand.

That was probably the poison.

Michelle was extracting it.

When she was done, Michelle let her hand fall to her side and looked up at Alexander. "Wipe your neck..." she muttered.

Her expression was already much better compared to when she got thrown out of the forest.

Just because Michelle extracted the poison from Alexander’s system didn’t mean he was feeling better.

He was basically feeling around the same, but he could feel that the effects were starting to weaken.

They didn’t have the poison to support them.

Still, Alexander listened to Michelle and wiped his neck with his sleeve.

When he looked down at it, he raised a brow, seeing the purple liquid.

So it was a spirit energy based poison, specifically that of the poison element.

Alexander looked down on Michelle, wondering why she suddenly decided to extract the poison from him.

He had been guessing she would leave him to suffer until the poison wore off on its own.

Was he wrong?

In reality, Alexander was right.

Michelle was indeed planning to leave the poison alone.

The change of plans was completely random.

It all led back to the dizziness and disgust she felt because of the pale forest.

She somehow had a guess that if she used her energies, the disgust would subside, and she would no longer feel the reflex to vomit.

So, when Alexander got to her, she decided to get rid of the poison for him, solely for her own benefit.

Watching everything from the side, Antony couldn’t really believe what he saw.

Namely, the strange way Michelle moved her body.

It looked quite repulsive.

Antony wasn’t exactly a fan of spiders, so seeing a person with arachnid movement wasn’t the least bit comfortable.

Also, another thing was bothering him.

He sent Michelle to the pale forest, knowing she couldn’t get hurt there.

The worst that could happen was that she would go too far and the forest would send her out.

But instead, she did something when she was deep inside the forest, which caused it to not just send her out but throw her out instantly.

If Alexander hadn’t caught her and she crashed into something like that, she would have broken her neck.

Just what did she do?!

Antony was quite angry.

He knew that his brother, Marcus, had on purpose sent Michelle to a place where she could as well die. But she left there completely safe.

So why, when he sent her to a safe place, did she nearly die?

It was actually simple.

When Michelle decided to deactivate all her concealment skills, the forest recognized that she wasn’t in an area she could bear in that state, so it started pushing her out.

But as she was quite far from where the forest would decide she could bear it, it kept pushing on her, sending her out faster and faster.

So, in the end, she ended up flying out of the forest at neck-breaking speed.

Michelle knew it was reckless to do, that it was dangerous, but she still did it.

As for why...

Maybe she didn’t guess it could be that dangerous.

In the end, she didn’t know the forest could send her out.

Or maybe she was confident in her ability to survive anything.

Or she just knew that Alexander was nearby along with Unlucien and Noctis and they wouldn’t let her die.

And the last possibility was that she knew she would get hurt, but she decided to rely on her healing abilities to survive.

Along with her reinforced bones and restructured body, not many things could instakill her.

Standing behind Michelle, Alexander felt someone approaching from the pale forest.

Nearly instantly, he disappeared from his spot.

Antony and Michelle turned towards the forest only to see Jasmine Fredig stumbling back as if she was being pushed by an invisible force.

Once she was outside the pale forest, she stopped stumbling. The force disappeared.

Seeing Jasmine like that, Antony was calm. From that, Michelle could deduce that was how people were supposed to be brought out of the forest.

Not like what happened to her.

Michelle herself couldn’t even properly remember how she got out of the forest.

The moment she got rid of her concealment and brought back her presence, she was hit by a wave of disgust so intense she couldn’t feel anything else.

She was probably hit by an invisible force too, but she was so overwhelmed by the disgust that she didn’t even register it.

Her senses were overloaded.

She only came back to her senses a while later when she was flying through the forest at high speed.

And a moment later, Alexander caught her outside the forest.

Jasmine stretched her body, sighing a bit.

"I was hoping to get further today."

Antony shook his head at her.

"You already improved a lot compared to last time. Don’t push it or it will backlash."

Jasmine nodded. "Yes, Master!"

At the same time, she started looking around to check if someone else was also out, and her gaze fell on Michelle.

Though Michelle was already feeling much better than before, it could still be clearly seen on her that something was wrong.

"Junior Sister, what happened to you? Why do you look like that?" she questioned.

Antony was also curious: "Ana, just what did you do in the forest to get launched out?"

Michelle knew she couldn’t talk her way out of that, so she told the truth.

When Michelle’s words fell, Antony nearly turned livid.

The only thing holding him back was the fact that the Dark Lord was nearby, somewhere up in the trees, and that Michelle was his disciple.

No Master should ever beat their disciples.

The only exceptions could be sparring and training.

Michelle clearly saw the anger on her Master’s face and stepped back a bit.

"I won’t do it again. I promise."

Antony moved his gaze away from her.

"Of course you won’t..." his voice was a low hiss.

Seeing her Master’s suppressed anger, Michelle held back a sigh.

In reality, she didn’t think she did something all that wrong.

It was dangerous and did make her sick.

But she still wanted to try it again sometime.

When she did it, she let disgust overwhelm her, so she didn’t notice many things.

She very much wanted to do it again to notice the little details that would appear.

If someone who knew Michelle personally saw her, they would know her promise not to do it again meant she would only do it in a way they wouldn’t find out, not that she actually wouldn’t do it.

But Antony didn’t know that about Michelle yet, so he believed her.

So he didn’t give her a lecture about how dangerous it was, thinking she understood it.

Naturally, Michelle understood the dangers, but that wouldn’t stop her.

She was already thinking of ways to bypass them.
