The Evil Lord's Wife Has Spirit Blood-Chapter 354
Back in the Ostrich Academy, Vincent arrived as dawn broke and went to see Francis, putting on a distressed expression.
Even though he knew Michelle was perfectly fine.
"Did you find her?" he asked the moment he found Francis.
But Francis could only helplessly shake his head.
Ana Ostrich was nowhere to be found.
Hearing that, Vincent looked devastated.
And it was understandable.
Just a few weeks prior, someone had nearly drowned his daughter in a lake.
To keep her safe, Vincent sent her to the academy for protection, but from there, she disappeared without any trace at the same time as a gruesome scene straight out of a torture chamber appeared in her dorm room.
Any parent would be devastated if something like that happened to their child.
Francis tried to reassure Vincent that Ana would be found, but even he doubted it.
That was until a letter came to the academy, bearing a strange seal.
The seal was basically a mess of black marks, resembling marks left behind by claws of a beast.
Francis took the envelope and turned it over, a frown upon his face.
He had never seen a seal like that.
Still, he broke it and opened the envelope.
Inside laid two things: a neatly folded paper and a key strapped to a pendant.
Francis’ attention was first drawn to the pendant and key.
In the academy, every dorm room had a key, and those keys were attached to pendants representing the subject the students there were studying.
The pendant in the envelope was that of the detection major.
The dorm from which Michelle had disappeared.
Taking out the key and pendant, Francis put it on his desk before reaching for the folded letter.
It wasn’t just a paper.
It was wrapped around something.
Like the envelope wasn’t enough and that object needed a second layer around it.
Considering that it was about Ana, Vincent’s daughter, Francis handed the letter to his brother. "It probably has something to do with her."
Vincent took the letter and slowly unfolded it.
When he did, a second set of key and pendant slipped out.
Vincent caught it before it could hit the ground.
Seeing the pendant, Francis frowned. "That’s from the concealment student dorms."
Vincent hurriedly put the pendant and key next to the first set and started reading the letter.
It was short, just a few sentences.
"I found one of your students nearly drowned. The keys and pendants are a proof she’s one of you. I’ll bring her to you by noon the day this reaches you."
Signed at the bottom of the letter was just the surname Terce.
No one knew that was the surname of the Dark Lord; Alexander Terce.
Because David Elether was the known Dark Lord while Alexander remained unknown to the world.
Most didn’t even know there were two Dark Lords, ruling two squads of shadow guards.
So, naturally, nobody recognized the seal on the letter.
Because Alexander had never used it before.
Only members of the Dark Palace could have seen it, and not in use; just engraved somewhere in the throne room.
After reading the letter, Vincent’s expression froze.
So Francis took the letter from him and read it.
The few sentences made him frown.
"Do you think it’s from the culprit?" he finally asked, his voice snapping Vincent out of his trance.
Vincent turned to Francis, sighing. "There’s no way to know until noon comes..."
So, Francis informed the three involved teachers, Antony, Marcus, and Lucas, about the letter, and they agreed to not do anything until noon.
But, there was a problem.
The letter didn’t state where the person would bring Michelle.
It was natural to assume the person would come to the entrance, but considering the situation, if it was the culprit, they could sneak into the academy and appear somewhere within the academy grounds.
So, to prevent overlooking anything, Vincent with Francis were to wait by the entrance, while Marcus and Lucas roamed the rest of the academy along with some students, mostly their disciples.
And, as the last person, Antony went to sit in Michelle’s dorm room.
Since she had most probably disappeared from there, it couldn’t be ruled out that she would be brought there.
In reality, Vincent knew where Michelle would appear.
She had told him beforehand.
Alexander would bring her to the council building.
And for the plan to go smooth, she needed all the involved teachers to be gone from there.
The plan was to have another council teacher see them there which would cause ruckus.
As the second headmaster, Vincent shouldn’t have agreed to be something that would cause chaos and ruckus, but the gains the plan would bring were quite big.
And Michelle was quite insistent.
Vincent didn’t exactly know why, but it was clear Michelle wanted it to go through no matter the price.
And it seemed she was the most interested in the implications it would have for the person who would bring her to the academy.
Vincent couldn’t see into Michelle’s head, so even though she told him her full plan, he didn’t know what she was planning.
Especially when it came to the person who would bring her, namely Alexander.
So, while the teachers were scattered around the academy, Alexander picked Michelle into his arms and flew high above the trees until he was above the academy.
With the power he possessed, it was impossible for even a Master of Detection like Antony to notice him.
The academy remained seemingly peaceful until Alexander broke that peace.
And he did that just as he got above the council building.
In that moment, Alexander no longer cared about stealth and dropped down onto the building.
His legs broke through the roof, and with a crash, Alexander landed inside.
Well, it could no longer be called inside since the roof had a hole in it.
The sound of the roof breaking attracted a lot of attention.
Quickly, a teacher rushed to the scene, his eyes widening when he saw a man standing amongst the rubble, holding a barely conscious student in his arms.
"What do you want here?!" the teacher instantly summoned his spirit energy as a threat.
Alexander narrowed his eyes in annoyance, glancing down at Michelle in his arms.
She was barely conscious, because before he took her to the academy, she had him hold her head underwater.
While Alexander did that, she had Nyxaroth monitor her body, so he could stop Alexander a while after she fainted, just before her body would collapse from the lack of oxygen.
Because of that, at the moment, Michelle looked barely alive.
And to the teacher who came, it very much looked like Alexander had assaulted a student and broken into the council building.
Alexander was quite annoyed by the teacher’s presence and glanced down at Michelle in his arms.
She didn’t tell him he wasn’t allowed to kill anyone...
But she would probably beat him if he did kill someone, especially if it was a teacher.
Of course, Alexander wouldn’t exactly mind that.
Seeing Michelle angry, or even enraged, was quite a pleasure actually.
Still, he held back from going on a rampage right away.
Enraging Michelle was for later.
At the moment, he wouldn’t sabotage her plans.
Seeing no response from Alexander, the teacher got angrier.
"Intruder! I’ll kill you right here if you don’t answer me!" he shouted.
That finally pulled Alexander back to the real world.
Slowly, looking like a psycho, he lifted his gaze from Michelle to stare at the teacher.
"Bring the headmaster here..." his voice was cold and lowered, making the teacher’s skin crawl.
While Alexander stood face to face with that teacher, a few more appeared.
And one of them looked at Michelle instead of looking at Alexander and instantly recognized her.
In the end, she was quite well-known amongst the council teachers.
Quickly, the teacher left the council building in search of Vincent and Francis to inform them about what was going on.
All the while, the rest of the teachers in the council building were confronting Alexander.
And Alexander had to hold back quite a bit from killing them all.
As the Dark Lord, he rarely had to hold back when he felt like killing.
The things he did for the half-conscious brat in his arms were something shocking even for him.
If someone from the Dark Palace, namely David, saw him like that, they would laugh.
Everyone in the Dark Palace knew just how bloodthirsty the Dark Lord was, so no one ever dared mess with him.
So seeing him holding back would make all of them chuckle.
Especially if it was for a girl who would be considered relatively weak in the heavenly realm.
Actually, there were two pairs of eyes from the Dark Palace watching Alexander at the moment.
Noctis and Unlucien hadn’t left his side for a moment.
But when Alexander was showing himself, they were hidden in the shadows, at the moment sitting at the roof.
Somehow, they were already used to the bizarre way their Lord acted around Michelle, so their minds weren’t blown away.
But it still made them look at each other and shift uncomfortably.
The Dark Lord was far from a gentle man who would change himself for his lover.
So seeing him holding back was highly unsettling.
