"NOOOOOOO!"

A chilling scream could be heard by every student in the Academy, making a chill run down their spines.

There were about five buildings where the students were hiding, looking at the sky.

A portal appeared behind four of these buildings, and of course, the students weren’t aware.

Four individuals instantly came out from each of the portals... Arin, Tessa, Seraphine, and Roxanne.

They were now standing behind the buildings.

This was Leon’s doing. When he saw Arin’s sign, he instantly knew what to do.

Because of Alex’s use of Mana, the barrier became unstable, and there were openings in it.

Leon passed through one of the openings and stealthily formed his portals behind the buildings. He made sure not to create the portals in the same place; if not, when they emerged, the students would certainly be suspicious of the high number of students that suddenly joined them.

Even though Seraphine was not currently close to Arin, she could still turn back into her soul form and enter his mind.

And she did just that.

Meanwhile, Arin, Tessa, and Roxanne had already mixed with the group of students in the three different buildings.

The three groups each didn’t even know that there was a new addition to their groups.

They were even talking together about the tornadoes, not realizing that the person each they were talking to wasn’t there before.

"Look! The tornadoes are reducing!" a boy exclaimed.

"Oh, that’s true. Is the fight over?"

"I think so... I mean, I can’t hear those explosions anymore."

"Do you think Alex was able to defeat those Vampires?"

"I’m sure... He’s powerful."

The discussions continued, and some of the students decided to go toward the direction where the battle took place.

Many had tried to go before, especially the confident ones, to help Alex fight the ’Vampires,’ but they were met with a barrier.

Now, they decided to check again to see if the barrier was no longer present.

"Everyone! The barrier is down!"

Immediately those hiding in the different buildings heard the boy’s voice, they rushed toward the place where the battle took place. Though, a good amount still remained hiding. They were still scared and wanted to be sure that the battle had really stopped.

In a few minutes, they decided to also move toward there.

Tessa was among the first set of people who decided to check if the barrier was still present.

Instantly, she rushed toward Alex, who was already standing up. A golden aura surrounded him, stopping the bleeding from his severe injuries and also healing him slightly. Though, it was really slow.

Tears threatened to fall from her eyes as she reached him in an instant.

"A... Alex," she stuttered as she glanced at his arm that was on the floor. "Why... Why didn’t you allow us to help you?"

She gasped as she held him tightly while looking straight into his eyes.

"You’ll be fine, okay? I’m here."

A small smile formed on Alex’s tired face as he caressed Tessa’s face. "I know... Thank you."

"I didn’t want any other person to get hurt, that was why I created the barrier," he continued as he glanced at the crowd of students. "Vampires are really dangerous, after all."

All the students heard what he said, and some instantly became emotional, especially the girls.

"Oh... sniff Alex... He cares about all of us so much," a girl cried as she fell on her knees.

Apart from her, the eyes of some of them were already teary as they were touched by Alex’s words.

Even though he also mentioned that he wasn’t able to kill the Vampires and that they ran away, the students were still touched and thankful.

"ALEX, OUR SAVIOR!" a boy shouted.

In a matter of seconds, the other students began shouting along, creating quite the spectacle.

"ALEX, OUR SAVIOR!"

"ALEX, OUR SAVIOR!"

"ALEX, OUR SAVIOR!"

Alex smiled at them as he raised his left arm, acknowledging them.

For the rest of the night, most of the students weren’t able to sleep. Well, it wasn’t surprising; after all, there was no dorm building anymore, and moreover, who would feel sleepy immediately after this kind of experience?

Though, a high number of students also cried. Not because of Alex this time, but because of most of their valuables that either went missing or were destroyed.

Most of them had quite expensive clothes that were torn and wouldn’t look good anymore even if they were patched, and some had expensive jewelry that was now missing, either buried under the rubble or thrown somewhere else due to the battle.

The male and female dorm buildings were more than half destroyed, including a few other buildings. Though, those buildings only had a small part destroyed, and their windows were also destroyed.

Tessa had been with Alex the whole time since the battle was over, and because she had already changed her hair back to how it usually was and had also removed her cloak, leaving her with her nightwear, there was nothing that could make him suspicious.

Arin had also removed his cloak the moment he appeared behind that building, and his injuries had also healed due to being a Vampire. Though, he could already feel it... He was hungry.

’My body used up the last remaining Blood Energy I had left to heal, so this shouldn’t be surprising,’ Arin thought as he glanced at Alex, whose injuries had also healed, and his arm had even grown back.

When Alex originally said that he needed to take a piss, Arin knew that something was up. And his suspicion was confirmed when Alex returned with all his injuries healed, including his arm.

"The Light Element has healing capabilities, but..." Arin muttered under his breath. "But I’m sure he used that Dark Smoke stuff to grow his arm back... I’m sure of it."

That aside, Roxanne was also in her bracelet form and was around Arin’s wrist. And Leon was also talking with some of the other students.

At the end, there was nothing that could trace all this back to them.

The sun was already rising, signifying the start of a new day.

"Well, what do we have here...?"
