The Extra's Survival-Chapter 221: Farewell
The year finally came to an end as the exams were finally over.
Lucas aced the exam quite easily. Though he was in the top 10 in combat sessions that cannot be said for theory.
Lucas ranked 124 in theory though he wasn't disheartened in any sense.
Raising his theoretical knowledge from zero within a year was already good enough for him. He would be happy as long as he can pass the exams this hard.
There was no one to grumble at him if he didn't get good marks in this life.
Since he was a meticulous student in his previous life, he didn't find some things too hard and he wasn't brain dead in any sense when it came to studies which were the only thing that he was good at in his previous life.
But what surprised him greatly was the event that transpired during the third-year exam.
Lucas's previous assumption was proved correct, Will found another scapegoat who was stuck in 3-Star even in the third year and breakthrough to a peak of the 4-Star realm.
But since he doesn't have a background, he was investigated and found taking an unidentified potion.
And later it came to be known that he had sold that to Will under the guise of a mana potion.
Will had carefully prepared the origin and the excuse which the boy used to get out of the situation still it severely damaged his reputation.
Although everyone was thinking that boy might have wasted his future, Lucas knew that the boy might be happier than one can think.
Living life in the capital is not as easy as one thing. Morgana who was a 4-Star earns around 40,000R every month while Lucas knew that Will must have offered him around 100 million or more which was enough to lead a good life.
Will's behaviour made Lucas realize just how black-hearted the noble can be.
Recently, most of the nobles Lucas had met during the tournament were quite amicable which made Lucas forget about the true nature of the noble.
Since the final exams were over there was going to be a break for a month and all the sessions in Horizon will be suspended.
It was time for everyone to visit home.
Lucas after coming to this world can finally visit home and meet his parents.
If not for that bastard Will, Lucas would be very happy about returning home.
Staying under the care of parents and spending time with a lovely mother and dutiful father wasn't something everyone in this world had been blessed with so one should cherish every moment one gets to spend with them.
.....
Before departing from one another, Lucas's gang met in the bar where Lucas found Jay.
Lucas had already bought a small apartment where he asked Layla to stay and do what she wanted and it was big enough even for Jay to stay if he wanted but Layla refused it and was taken in by Princess.
CLANK!
The sound of glasses colliding with each other resounded.
Taking a large chug, Parth made a satisfied expression as if someone in the middle of the desert had found an oasis.
"Haaaaah!" Parth chuckled.
"Drunkard!" Lucas along with everyone sneered.
Parth just ignored them and spoke, "Brother Neil it feels great to have you on our team."
"With a blacksmith like you around, we will soon shake the world," Parth shouted.
"You wanted to shake the world when you can't stop yourself from shaking," Charles smirked.
"Neil doesn't listen to him. The young master is jealous of this almighty Parth who can bring down his rein."
"Blaahhh!"
"Why don't you claim that in the training ground tomorrow," Frederick spoke while staring at Parth.
"Don't let his cheap talks get you, Neil."
Parth just averted his gaze and focused on drinking while asking Roan to buckle up for a drinking competition.
Lucas smiled seeing his friends bantering with each other.
His eyes swept around everyone present out there.
Seeing them, Lucas was sure about one thing, he had made some good friends.
Charles had changed his class from a villainous young master to a third or fourth male lead.
Roan had grown from being a nerd to a person giving scholarly vibes which were further supplemented by those two round glasses.
Although he may still look thin underneath the clothes, his body has grown a lot.
His family pack had been upgraded to six pack and his muscles weren't bulky in any sense but with only a touch one can know that the scholarly mage doesn't fall back in hand-to-hand combat.
Combined with long red hairs reaching the shoulders, he looked quite handsome.
On the other hand, Frederick had stepped further ahead on the path of the protagonist and their gap had been widened due to earrings.
Though Lucas wasn't much worried about it as he was a little short of buying a diamond-grade bloodline.
Taking it would surely give him a boost.
And if one looks at Parth...
It's better to leave the information about him.
"Lucas, when are you moving," Frederick asked, seeing Lucas's dazed expression.
Fredrick's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"I am going to catch the train in the morning," Lucas answered.
"Your place is quite far from here. As far as I remember you have to take two trains and after that, you have to take a wagon or rely on your feet to reach your hometown." Charles spoke.
Lucas nodded and said"Yeah, it will take almost a day or more. It depends on the wagon."
"By the way, Lucas I got to know that the territory where you live is not under any noble house. It seems to be some sort of free land." Frederick spoke.
Lucas raised his brows with a surprised expression.
"This is the first time I am hearing such a thing."
"Maybe it's under the imperial hands," Roan said to you.
"Maybe or maybe not. Land under the Imperial laws is demarcated but your hometown isn't."
"Let's leave that matter."
"We are here to enjoy not to discuss troublesome things," Lucas muttered and everyone resumed the joyous occasion.
Lucas who was taking a sip was alerted by his smartwatch notification.
His expression changed and his eyes flashed with coldness.
'The time is finally here.'
