The Fallen Spectator-Chapter 23: Transcendent Realm
The atmosphere was absolutely cold and eerie, as I was walking towards that green eyed girl, in this black world. My body completely merged with darkness barely making black outline of me dragging that red haired kid.
The girl had also come out of initial shock, her eyes locked on me as the colossal figure of dragon was coming to reality behind her like her guardian looming above her head. His gigantic mouth stretched towards me, devouring the darkness in his path, lighting up the whole world in azure light.
The next instant, the dragon’s head was above my head. As it closed in its mouth, my figure turned the Black smoke escaping through the gaps between its teeth.
The azure dragon had saved that red haired kid, but I was still out of his grasp. Suddenly, a massive beast fell from the sky. It’s a giant black axe piercing through the dragon head.
’Malghor... this shadow can manifest all the nightmares to almost their true potential. How can it be possible? No, it can’t be like that. This isn’t something that the 9th stage of Nightmare can achieve.’
Malghor’s shadow manifestation had ignited my thoughts into flame.
Well, the only answer to this situation could be Transcend realm, the last stage of Nightmare Cultivation.
’So, this guy had already surpassed my imagination. Now, I know where he got enough confidence to challenge them.’
Just for second as my consciousness was diverted to the azure dragon had regained its dominance devouring the Malghor’s shadow. After dealing with Malghor it let out a loud dragon roar, transforming the nightmare realm in his own kingdom.
A piece of ancient land filled with life and greenery, and the majestic blue sky with thousands of dragons flying on it, and a gigantic Azure dragon standing on a tall mountain whose tip was almost touching the clouds looking down on his kingdom. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The giant green eyes locked on me on the ground like he was looking at some insects. On the ground I stood still, my body wrapped in green vines, locking me in place.
It was looking like the battle had come to an end, if not for the slight smile on the Shadow’s face.
"So, this is how the ancient dragon kingdom looks. When the realm is already destroyed in ancient times then what is the use of keeping this fragment with you." I spoke to the Azur Dragon.
Hearing my words, it got enraged and let out a terrifying roar shaking the whole Dragon realm. As it moved his body towards me. His mouth was big enough to devour a few meters of land around me in one bite.
This time, I didn’t even try to struggle, just letting him devour me. Just when he closed his mouth a word escaped from my lips, "Devour."
"Aah..."
A pain severe than anything that can be described with words runs down my head. My eyes almost came out of socket bleed seeping from corners, not just eyes but all of mine seven orifices seemed to burst inside.
"What the hell is going on? Aah..." My screams rang through the whole dark realm causing ripples in the black Sea.
It had been a long time since I lost my composure, I had been through thousands of different kinds of nightmares none of them push me this. Since, I began this life.
As I was losing myself. Suddenly, a voice came into my ears, "If you lose, the ravings will corrupt me, and if I lose then what do I think will happen to Alina and our family." The shadow had appeared in front of me speaking to me with a smile, like this all was a part of his plans.
"I know you can take it, if you want to walk on the path that you dreamed of then pay the price, and I will take you forward." It spoke in a calm voice.
The pain running through my soul was making me unable to think clearly, just pain, pain, and pain. Slowly, I was getting used to this pain. After sometime, it lost its uniqueness becoming a part of thousands of other pains carried by me.
’Pain, I have felt, thousands of pains, not just mundane, some even transcending the limits of this world, but at the end they were just described in one word: pain. No extreme, no casual pain, no last pain, and no first pain, just pain.’
I was gaining my consciousness back after this sudden burst of pain, making me fall into despair for a few seconds before I regained myself back.
After my thoughts cleared up a bit, I shifted my gaze back to the battle filled which had turned back into normal backyard with hundreds of bodies lying unconscious. These people were the ones whom I dragged into a nightmare realm when I entered this place.
While almost all of them were unconscious, there was still one left, the green-eyed girl. She was still conscious, and was grabbing on to the red-haired kid. Her eyes looked at me with slight fear, but not despair.
This girl was still carrying the will of a dragon not losing her dignity.
’Unfortunately, she is still just a young girl among all the dragon kings; she is the youngest.’
I walked up to her looking at her pitiful yet fierce figure. Her eyes were staring at me with a fierce look, but she was still unable to hide her fear.
"Do you really think by acting like this you can survive? Life is short, even this world is reaching its end, and you dragon kings aren’t the saviour. You all are just amusing insects living their life in delusion." I spoke to her in a calm voice.
I gave her another glance before turning around and walking out from there.
"Next weekend the same day, same time I will come back. Tell that Golden Fish, he isn’t just a crazed one. I am even more crazed than him." leaving these words I walked from there.
