The Goddess is Sweet and Aloof-Chapter 1075 - 1071 Dispute
Chapter 1075: Chapter 1071 Dispute
They soon arrived at the studio. Si Limo headed back first, and as soon as Qiao Xiaren walked in, she saw everyone standing in the corridor. Weini and Qing Ran didn’t look too pleased, seemingly discussing something off to the side.
"What’s going on here?"
As Qiao Xiaren approached, the artists immediately stepped aside to create a path, standing on either side.
Perhaps it was due to her commanding presence, but as Qiao Xiaren approached, the previously indignant expressions of the artists turned into unease.
The two male artists, in particular, looked even more apprehensive.
Qiao Xiaren glanced around and immediately knew the problem lay with these two male artists.
"What happened here?" Qiao Xiaren noticed the injury on Yu Qianchu’s face, and instinctively furrowed her brow, her icy gaze sweeping over E Zizhen and Liu Hanlin.
She had seen plenty of both overt and covert disputes, but witnessing someone being hit openly was rare.
"I’m fine." Yu Qianchu suddenly spoke, tugging at the corner of his mouth, which seemed to hurt. Sang Jie stepped forward with a cotton swab to clean his wound, her voice filled with distress, "How can you say you’re fine when you’re like this?"
"Who did this? Was it you two?" Qiao Xiaren’s tone sounded inquisitive, but it was actually filled with certainty.
"Sorry, boss. We couldn’t stand it anymore. I admit I started it—I hit Yu Qianchu." E Zizhen stepped forward, speaking in a defiant tone, "Why is it that Yu Qianchu gets a manager—a highly experienced one at that—while we, who’ve been here longer, are left to wait around for nothing? This isn’t fair!"
After hearing his grievance, Qiao Xiaren only responded with a faint smile, "So you’re saying I’ve been unfair to you?"
Liu Hanlin saw Qiao Xiaren narrow her eyes and assumed she was angry, quickly pulling on E Zizhen’s sleeve. But E Zizhen, clearly fueled by his temper, ignored Liu Hanlin’s actions completely.
"You’re very straightforward," Qiao Xiaren remarked plainly. "But let me tell you, exposing your true self entirely in a circle like this isn’t necessarily to your advantage."
"I’ve always favored fair competition, but there are some people whose talent and excellence are apparent at first glance. He was placed under Qing Ran because he’s exceptional enough to deserve it."
With this comment, Qiao Xiaren practically hinted at Yu Qianchu’s standing in her eyes.
Upon hearing this, E Zizhen became even more defiant, "You’ve never watched us train, so how can you be sure we’re not good enough?"
He outright refused to believe that Qiao Xiaren could see through people so easily. Could she really trust her judgment so much?
Besides, E Zizhen didn’t think he was any worse than Yu Qianchu!
Seeing his dissatisfaction, Qiao Xiaren wasn’t angered. Instead, she stepped forward a few paces, "Since you’re so insistent on proving yourself, I’ll grant you the chance. If you can demonstrate that you truly have more ability than Yu Qianchu, proving my judgment wrong, I’ll let you replace him under Qing Ran and even formally apologize to you. But if you fall short, then you better work harder to improve your skills!"
E Zizhen froze for a moment, then his face lit up with joy.
The others visibly relaxed, their spirits lifting slightly.
Qiao Xiaren agreeing to give them a chance meant the possibility of being under Qing Ran’s management increased. With such a strong manager, they’d have far more opportunities than others!
Qing Ran hadn’t expected Qiao Xiaren to resolve the conflict this way. He was just about to say something but was stopped by a look from Qiao Xiaren and had no choice but to stay silent.
He wasn’t too keen on managing other artists and couldn’t gauge Yu Qianchu’s abilities, leaving him feeling rather helpless.
This was truly a disaster!
