The Golem Mage-Chapter 591 - Earth Manipulation
591: Earth Manipulation.
591: Earth Manipulation.
“Begin!” The referee’s voice resounded, officially commencing the match, Omar, towering over Alec, summoned an iron dagger from his space ring and swiftly charged towards Alec, as his braided hair swayed with the wind.
Clang!
Alec tightly gripped the stone dagger he had created, holding it in reverse with his left hand, as he skilfully defended against Omar’s first strike.
Alec glanced up, locking eyes with Omar and noticed a clear expression of surprise etched upon his opponent’s face.
During Omar’s observation of Alec’s easy defeat of Steele, he had primarily focused on Alec’s incredible speed in evading Steele’s attacks.
Omar believed that Alec’s victory was primarily a result of his exceptional swiftness, which surpassed Steele’s reactionary abilities.
Upon stepping onto the stage, Omar was well aware that he couldn’t match Alec’s speed normally, however, he possessed confidence in his ability to track Alec’s movements with his eyes, even if it meant reacting slightly slower.
Omar’s opening move was to utilize his overwhelming strength to forcefully push Alec to a corner, leaving him no opportunity to launch a counterattack.
But Omar, who was taller than Alec and confident in his strength, found himself doubting himself for the first time.
Not only had he failed to knock Alec who was shorter away, but Alec had effortlessly defended against his strike with nothing more than a stone dagger he had created, while Omar wielded a Mid Rank dagger.
“Ahhh!” Omar shouted as he lunged forward, slamming his head into Alec’s in an attempt to send him staggering back from the head-butt.
However, he seriously miscalculated the event.
As the moment their heads connected, both Alec and Omar reeled back from the shock of the collision stunning them. freewebnøvel.com
Omar directed a wide-eyed gaze at Alec as he watched Alec shake his head to dispel his dizziness, while he himself was still recovering from the impact.
“Please tell me you have more in store for me!” Alec taunted, staring at Omar Khan.
In response, Omar pressed his dagger against his chest, cutting himself to let his blood drip onto the blade as he chanted words that Alec was unfamiliar with.
Once he finished, he threw the blood-soaked dagger at Alec,
[> Innate Spell—Blood Sacrifice <]
Alec raised his right hand, causing a small pillar of earth to rise from the ground and block the incoming dagger, preventing it from reaching him.
However, he was unaware that the dagger was merely a distraction to keep him preoccupied.
While the real event was unfolding as Omar transformed; his fingers elongated and darkened as he tore the upper part of his uniform.
His eyes turned blood red as he dropped to all fours and pushed off the ground.
Bang!
The crowd watched in awe at the speed with which he launched himself from the ground, but he wasn’t heading for Alec; instead, he dashed to the left side of him.
This sudden change left the audience perplexed.
Just when they thought all was lost, he shifted his legs mid-run and pushed off the ground, changing his trajectory toward Alec from behind.
His speed seemed to double after the quick twist, and Alec realized too late that Omar was barrelling toward him.
When he turned around, he was met by a figure that no longer resembled the Omar he 9had faced before.
With wild, red eyes and a primal aura surrounding him, Omar looked almost like a berserk beast.
Realizing he wouldn’t be able to evade the impact in time, Alec positioned his arms in an X shape, bracing himself to absorb the clash head-on.
Omar, charging at Alec with reckless abandon, smirked upon seeing Alec’s defensive stance.
He had been projecting the image of someone unhinged, and he had not only successfully fooled Alec but also the crowd of spectators.
“Fool!” Omar exclaimed as he swung his right claw.
[> Low Tier Spell – Bash <]
The claw was imbued with a massive influx of black energy, taking the form of a demonic hand with long, menacing claws that enveloped his attacking arm.
Omar smashed against Alec’s X-shaped defence, and the fans of the Vajra Academy erupted from their seats, cheering wildly as they witnessed Alec being sent flying.
His back even broke through the earth wall he had erected for protection.
As Alec’s body skidded along the ground before he regained control, performing a somersault and landing on his knees.
But before he could catch his breath, Omar had mysteriously reappeared behind him, swinging his leg toward Alec’s head.
Alec’s reaction was swift as he raised his hand to defend against Omar’s strike.
But despite that he was still sent flying by the force behind the strike, while Alec skilfully landed on his feet, this time without any embarrassing display.
Without wasting a second, Alec immediately dashed towards Omar, who was also rushing towards him simultaneously.
[> Innate Spell – Terra bullet <]
Alec moved his hand in front of him, conjuring an earth bullet infused with his fiery aura, all while maintaining his running motion.
Knowing that his accuracy might be affected by his continuous movement, Alec decided to infuse more mana into his spell, creating four additional Terra bullets, each coated with his secondary innate spell, Flame Aura.
Confident in the power accumulated, Alec used his right leg to come to a sudden halt, positioning himself to release the first bullet, which produced a sharp bang upon its release.
The bullet propelled forward at an alarming speed, shocking the charging Omar.
However, Omar reacted quickly, twisting his legs and darting towards the sides to evade the projectile.
Alec couldn’t help but smile, as he had already analysed everything necessary about Omar’s spell, Blood Sacrifice.
“This was fun, but the game is over now,” Alec declared, putting forth his best effort to pinpoint Omar’s location, now that he was no longer running in a straight line.
“Who among the both of us truly has the right to say that?
We both know you won’t last long against me.
Prepare!” Omar retorted, but his voice was drowned out by the resounding ring of continuous Terra bullets being released as he was not even allowed the opportunity to complete his sentence.
Forced to cease talking, Omar swiftly changed his direction once again, employing quick leg movements to evade the incoming bullets.
However, he soon realized that the position he was running towards had become the target for yet another bullet.
Omar was certain that once he reached the intended location, he would be struck by the bullet Alec had strategically positioned.
He rapidly scanned his surroundings and realized that the other three corners he could potentially escape to were also targeted by bullets.
Bang!
Inevitably, the Terra bullet collided with Omar’s left shoulder, causing him to wince in pain.
“So, my prediction was correct.
You can only alter your course twice, attempting to change direction more than twice would strain your legs and potentially render you temporarily unable to maintain your enhanced speed,” Alec remarked.
“Now that I’ve witnessed your abilities, it’s time for you to be eliminated!” Alec declared, raising his right hand with over ten bullets rotating around his outstretched fingers.
Omar was taken aback by this revelation.
As he had not anticipated Alec to continue accumulating bullets during their conversation.
However, he was not one to simply wait around, and be defeated as Omar dashed towards Alec at an incredible speed.
In response, Alec shifted his stance and pressed his left hand down, manipulating gravity to create a force field.
As Omar entered the force field, his speed began to diminish.
Ting!!!
The crowd watched in suspense as Alec unleashed the bullet barrage, However, their expectation of Omar sustaining a critical injury was overturned.
As he instead, sharp and elongated bone spikes emerged from Omar’s hands just after his elbows.
With these bone spikes transformed into makeshift swords, Omar deflected all the incoming Terra bullets, even amidst the enhanced gravity, demonstrating his tenacity and strength with a grimace on his face.
