Chapter 327: Missions Complete

Those were the same flying creatures that Frago guy used before. According to what they knew so far, this sight alone was suspicious.

Not many could tame beasts, and the elves would definitely not lend such a rare thing to separate factions.

He had a foreboding that those bastards were up to no good!

Finn and Syl’s eyes met, orbs filled with the same thoughts. Sadly, the targets were already too far to do anything about it. Not to mention, they were outnumbered and outside the barrier, so it was dangerous to do so.

For now, they would just head back and report what they had seen, allowing the guilds to do with the information as they wanted.

...

[Congratulations on completing the Monster Fist Gathering mission! Mission Rewards received!]

For the guild’s mission rewards, they came in points or gold, and it wasn’t like those magic things where the reward would appear in front of them. Rather, after completion, they’d head to the guild’s rewards area, where they would present their status gems and receive their rewards accordingly.

This was another advantage of having the guild build a branch in the danger zone. People did not have to go out of their way to head to a town—which was at least a day away—to claim their rewards! Well, for the most part.

At the start, the guild had not stockpiled so much gold and other rewards yet, so some rewards had been delayed. They certainly were not able to predict the sheer influx of adventurers that would be staying there.

Heck, even those who could not stay within the barrier and just hung around the various campsites now summed to hundreds. Fortunately, the Elders moved quickly and started planning more thoroughly.

Interestingly, some other branches had also caught wind of the place and wanted in. Since they were all one organization, they simply ended up funding the rewards as well.

The inn was bustling, and Finn improved the inn bit by bit with the money pouring in.

With money, he decided to keep updating and upgrading the place. He added more furniture, paraphernalia, and the plants they had planted before started blooming.

He also added a lot of stuff in the rooms as a habit, like adding a better table, adding decor, adding an overhead cabinet, outdoor furniture, and so on.

Interestingly, the changes he made in the extension also reflected in his overall score so he added things there as well.

Now, one could have coffee right alongside fortified monsters.

He had been slowly moving to completing another one of his quests, though he hadn’t looked at the progress for a while.

He looked at his [Innkeeper Dashboard], and saw that the comfort, ambiance, and cleanliness stat had all reached the 90s score, leaving just a few before he reached the perfect score.

Now the problem was how to climb over this plateau. By this point, nothing he did added points anymore.

He had already purchased every upgrade that he could by now, and things weren’t so simple as just buying things and throwing them anywhere in the inn.

The Ambiance stat, for one, heavily considers aesthetics. It certainly wasn’t enough to buy a vase, a snow globe, and whatever, place them on the coffee table, and call it a day. If they didn’t look good together, it wouldn’t add anything.

For the comfort, he just had to upgrade all the furniture to the highest available furniture. This, in turn, allowed the regeneration rates to increase and even last longer, so sleeping in the rooms or even resting on the outdoor furniture would get much more compounding rewards.

For cleanliness, he added more recycling processes as well as policies to keep things clean. He also published that those found to be loitering would have reduced points.

It was the ambiance that was a problem since he had already purchased and placed all the decorations he could think of that wouldn’t visually conflict with his ongoing theme. A cluttered space definitely took away points.

It took him three days to experiment on these things, but with no movement at all! It was so stressful!

Finn mumbled about his problems to Syl, pitifully rubbing his head on her shoulder. She giggled, gently massaging his head.

It was already night, and Lily had finally learned to be ’independent’ and sleep in her own room. Finn could finally have his girlfriend for himself!

"Why don’t we add some of those flowers to the garden? Haven’t you been wondering how to handle them? Ambiance is not limited to sight, but also the sense of touch, smell, and others."

"Of course, we also have to consider the flower arrangement. Each plant have their own effects. Some might compound on each other, while some might cancel each other out. I’ll try tomorrow."

His eyes sparkled. His girlfriend is a genius! 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

By this time, the gardens had been producing a lot of things, and the flowers had indeed reached a surplus. He was thinking of making some sort of tea or fragrance for them.

And so, the next day, all the rooms and main rooms found themselves with wonderfully arranged flower art. Their fragrance and appearance were varied and different, but somehow they fit so extremely well.

There were also some sachets of fragrances in the rooms, actually adding to the relaxation factor as well.

People couldn’t help but wonder if they were really still in the danger zone!

The women swooned directly, requesting the sachets at least to also become available in the [Inn Store] for purchase!

Some smooth Casanovas and smart men found this chance to order flowers to give to their lovers and beaus as well.

[Hearth Mission Completed!]

YES!

Finn happily went to the [Hearth tab] to check which building he should upgrade. He would definitely choose the upgrade he could get the most out of!

Unsurprisingly, the barrier upgrade was very expensive. Surprisingly, it was the [Delivery Room] that was much more expensive.

Using hearth points, he upgraded the Barrier once more, and this added defense and durability. On the other hand, he used the voucher for the Delivery Room!

He went to look, wondering why it was so expensive.
