Du Jiang was suddenly bewildered, "Discharged?"

Mo Jiaolan got out of bed and straightened her clothes before looking at him and saying, "I’ve recovered, of course I need to leave. There’s a lot of work to be done at the hotel!"

"How, how is that possible!"

Seeing her rosy complexion and her spirited appearance just as before she fell ill, Du Jiang was totally confused!

"There’s nothing impossible about it, thanks to Mr. Ling’s help. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have recovered so quickly. Now please leave, I need to change my clothes," Mo Jiaolan said indifferently.

Du Jiang still wore a blank expression but turned to head towards the door nonetheless. Afterward, he cast a look at Ling Feng, a thick shade of suspicion flashing in his eyes.

"How exactly did you do it?" Du Jiang, standing next to him, couldn’t help but ask.

"Sorry, that’s a secret!" Ling Feng didn’t look at him and said coldly.

Seeing his attitude, Du Jiang felt somewhat belittled and couldn’t help but say, "Kid, I’m warning you, practicing medicine without a license and treating people is legally liable. I’ll let today’s incident slide, but if I find out you’re treating others again, you won’t get off so easily!"

"What, afraid Mo Jiaolan will scold you, so you’re letting it go today?" Ling Feng asked with a smile.

Ling Feng left the hospital, and just like the day before, rode his tricycle to the market to buy a few cages, then returned to Shiliu Village.

Just as he arrived at the entrance of the village, he happened to see Wang Yan walking along the road, swaying her plump posterior. He braked, smiling and asking, "Auntie Wang, where are you off to?"

Wang Yan turned and saw it was him, immediately giving Ling Feng a scornful look, "Hmph, it’s you, brat. I didn’t do anything, just went to my parents’ home."

Knowing that her parents’ home was in nearby Qianjing Village, he nodded and let his gaze linger on Wang Yan’s buttocks and legs a few times before saying with a tsk, "Auntie Wang, your wound has healed up really fast!"

"What? Do you want to check it again for me?" Wang Yan glanced at him sideways.

"Sure, how about tonight?" Ling Feng’s eyes lit up, and he swallowed before asking.

To his surprise, Wang Yan laughed heartily, sporting a mischievous triumphant expression, "You wish. I let you off the hook last time, you think I’ll give you another chance on a platter?"

Seeing her reaction, Ling Feng knew she was teasing him on purpose and chuckled, "That’s not the right way to put it, as if I’d take advantage of you. Don’t you also feel a bit itchy yourself?"

Wang Yan’s face flushed at his words, and she spat, "Ugh, you’re the itchy one. Get lost. I’m not up for it these days!"

"Oh, so that’s how it is!"

Ling Feng suddenly realized and nodded, "Then I’ll be off first. I’ll come check on you after Auntie Wang’s relatives have left!"

After saying that, he twisted the throttle and was about to leave, when Wang Yan suddenly grabbed him, "You stop right there!"

After returning to the village and watching Wang Yan swaying her slim waist back home, he didn’t delay and hurried straight towards the mountains.

Ling Feng had planned well; if he could catch another thirty-one or thirty-two wild chickens today, he would have almost enough money, about thirty thousand.

However, reality was cruel; after more than two hours of catching, he only managed to catch about twenty, and then he couldn’t spot any more wild chickens around!

It seemed that they weren’t so foolish; with companions vanishing mysteriously over the past few days, they probably didn’t dare to come around these parts to forage anymore, right?

Ling Feng felt somewhat depressed, but there was no helping it. He loaded the caught wild chickens onto the tricycle, saw that he still had over an hour before sundown, and decided to go deeper into the mountains to look.

Since he hadn’t reached the needed quantity, he still wasn’t ready to give up, hoping that with a bit of luck, he might find a few more wild chickens.

Unfortunately, even after going deep into the mountains, he didn’t spot a single one. Ling Feng was puzzled, "Can’t be, right? I haven’t caught that many, and the mountain area is so large; could they all have been caught by me?"

Just as he was wondering, he suddenly heard a series of chirping coming from a cliff in the distance. He immediately dashed towards the sound, arriving nearby in the blink of an eye.

Looking down, he saw a nest in the grass on the cliff with a dozen or so little wild chickens, apparently just broken out of their shells, waiting to be fed.

"Eh?"

Seeing these little wild chickens, an idea immediately sprung to mind!

Constantly coming up the mountain to catch them wasn’t a long-term solution. If he could raise them at home, then once the chickens laid eggs and the eggs hatched into chickens, wouldn’t there be a constant supply of fresh wild chickens for Mo Jiaolan’s restaurant?

With that thought, he hurried forward, carefully capturing the dozen or so little wild chickens and stuffing them into his jacket pockets.

As he was stuffing them, he was murmuring, "Sorry, fellas, your parents have probably been sent off to the city’s restaurant by me. As compensation, I’ll take responsibility for raising you until you’re grown!"

The little wild chickens couldn’t understand his nonsense, chirping away, their mouths wide open, eager for food.

Ling Feng wanted to feed them, but these little wild chickens were obviously too small to eat corn kernels, so he had to catch insects for them to eat.

After coming down from that cliff, he searched the grass in the valley for a while, and had just caught a few caterpillars when something suddenly moved in the grass ahead of him, and then something dashed out with a swish!
