Chapter 128: Chapter 125- A Bad Influence

BANG!!!

BANG!!!

BANG!!!

SCREEECH!!!

The Nian Beast seemed to have gone mad, it hit, scratched, and clawed at the cocoon Sol was in.

"THAT ISN’T YOURS!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I’VE BEEN WAITING TO GET THAT LEGACY RUNE?!! HOW DARE A BASTARD LIKE YOU COME AND STEAL IT?!! BASTARD, GIVE IT BACK!! GIVE IT BACK!! GIVE IT BACK!! GIVE IT BACK!!!"

In between the loud impacts and screeching, the hoarse and distorted voice of the Nian Beast was heard as it screamed in anger and fury.

Tens of thousands of years? Hundreds of thousands? Over a million years?

How would the Nian Beast know for how long it had been trapped in here doing everything he could to get that Legacy Rune?

Even before he was trapped in the palace the Nian Beast was trying to get that Legacy Rune.

Its Innate Ability to swap identity with someone was extremely rare among creatures like it. But it wasn’t all that powerful, it had a significant flaw where it was unable to obtain someone’s cultivation and comprehension when it swapped with them.

That was something the heavens would never allow. If it truly had the ability to take someone’s cultivation like that, it wouldn’t be the only one of his kind to be alive. Its species would have conquered this planet and enslaved everyone on it a long time ago if that were the case.

But here it was suffering this injustice.

"BASTARD, I SAID GET OUT!!!"

The Nian Beast roared and finally, the cocoon showed signs of cracking.

"GET OUT!!!"

BANG!!!

The cocoon exploded and sent a shockwave out that caused intense ripples to appear in the void. Everything shook wildly as if an earthquake with a magnitude of 9.5 had just occurred.

"Damn it! This fucking bastard, I was almost finished!"

If Yoon-Jae had been here, he would have looked at Sol with a shocked expression.

Sol had never used a curse word before. He was a good boy, that had never let his anger get the better of him.

If he was sad, you would know.

But if he was angry, you’d never know.

Perhaps Sol, being friends with someone like Mar-Dule, had caused some bad habits to rub off on him. After all, Mar-Dule was well known for spouting the obscenest profanities one had ever heard before when he was in a violent rage. And Sol had seen him flip out a few times at the Martial Hall Pagoda.

Like an innocent child being badly influenced, Sol instinctively began swearing like Mar-Dule because of the Nian Beast destroying the cocoon.

The Nian Beast was previously gearing up to charge at Sol in its anger, but it froze when it heard Sol cursing at it.

The cursing was so vile and hurtful that if the Nian beast had eyes it would have stared at Sol with shock and hatred.

"What? Did your mother **** and *** before ****?! Is that why you’re such a fucking butthole?!!"

Sol’s chest was heaving violently after he stopped his bombardment of cursing.

His face was slightly pale, and he was barely wearing any clothes due to the explosion of the cocoon. But he had his large golden bow in hand and his cultivation aura was vigorously swirling around him.

He had managed to reverse the Grand Formation Array and lifted the restriction on his cultivation, but he wasn’t able to fully accept the Legacy Inheritance of Su Moon.

Just a bit longer and he would have been able to combine the Legacy Rune and his Master’s Seven Runic Paths to Samsara Rune Array.

Sol was frustrated.

It wasn’t easy to combine these two Rune Arrays. He realized that despite the Legacy Rune being more sophisticated, with the ability to self-learn, his Master’s Seven Runic Paths to Samsara’s uniqueness came from the fact that it contained a ridiculous number of runes.

The Seven Runic Paths to Samsara could be called a Formation Array, just like the Legacy Rune, and by carving it inside his body Sol would be able to easily conjure those numerous runes with a gesture. Overtime, as he Master’s the Runic Technique fully, he would only need a thought to conjure a rune.

But it was precisely this complex structure that made it difficult to combine it with the Legacy Rune.

However, Sol was a bit lucky since the Legacy Rune’s specialty was overlapping and linking runes together. This made it slightly easier for him to combine the two together.

But before Sol could finish this process, this bastard came and interrupted him.

At the moment he had merely combined half the two Rune Array together.

Glaring at the Nian Beast Sol growled.

"Do you think I’m scared of you?"

Sol hefted his large golden bow and then aimed it towards the Nian Beast.

The Nian Beast released an enraged screech before charging at Sol. freёnovelkiss.com

Sol knocked back the bow and a three-meter-long white arrow made of non-elemental Aether Energy, materialize between it in an instant.

BANG!!!

Sol didn’t bother trying to keep his strength under control. He released everything he had in this arrow, and it created a shockwave that sent his hair whipping about.

The large white arrow practically pierced the void and appeared in front of the Nian Beast within the blink of an eye. However, despite the arrow’s speed, the Nian Beast suddenly twisted its slender body and easily dodged it.

It then slithered across the large ballroom and appeared in front of Sol.

"Tsk!"

Sol clicked his tongue before he leaped out of the way.

The Nian Beast’s claws demolished the ground where he previously stood.

After rolling a few times on the ground, Sol jumped up and retreated towards the ballroom’s double doors.

He glanced at the damage the Nian Beast did to the ground and his scalp tingled.

His anger at this point had diminished by quite a bit and the danger this thing posed slapped him in the face as a reminder.

However, Sol was still more than upset that he was interrupted, so he knocked back his bow once more.

A deep crimson arrow releasing scorching heat materialized between the bow.

Sol Master had warned him to never manipulate Aether elements besides his Wood Aether Energy. However, if Sol went by his Master’s exact words, then he said he should not cultivate more Aether elements because it might compromise his cultivation of Wood-type Aether Energy.

in other words, as long as Sol didn’t absorb any other Aether elements into his body, then he could create arrows from any of the elements without compromising his cultivation progress.

With a blazing fury, red flames spread to cover several meters around Sol from the arrow.

Sol suddenly stomped on the ground and the ankle bracelet on his right leg detached with a loud bang. The bloodline in his cells exploded like a volcano and bolstered the gathering of Fire Aether Energy.

The arrow immediately exploded with more intensity and its flames spread several more meters in diameter.

This took time to explain, but in reality, it happened extremely quickly.

The Nian Beast had just turned around after destroying the ground and began charging at Sol.

BANG!!!

Sol released the arrow and this time the Nian Beast was unable to dodge it and was hit.

Instantly, fire engulfed the entire ballroom and transformed the place into a fiery inferno.

Sol stood inside the arrow’s flames unharmed, but as the shockwave blew against him, something in the corner of his eyes caught his attention.

"What is this?"

Sol grabbed at the yellow object, but immediately as he did, he realized it was his hair.

"Huh? Wait, why is my hair golden?"

Sol spun around in circles trying to look at his hair.

He knew something was different after he saw those memories of his father. It had felt like his bloodline had awakened somewhat. But he hadn’t expected a change like this to occur after he took off a bracelet.

Right now, not only was he able to boost his physical strength when he took off his bracelets, but his bloodline energy could increase the strength of his Martial Skills as well.

However, he figured his hair would now change colors when he released the restriction seal on his bloodline.

Sol wondered if this would become a problem in the future. He figured it wasn’t normal for someone’s hair to change to a bright golden color during a power-up mid-battle.

Suddenly, Sol recalled the child he saw in his memories, he had golden hair too. Also just like that boy, Sol knew his eyes had turned golden as well.

Though that wasn’t all, a barely visible outline of a golden sun etched between a clearly visible black crescent moon could now be seen on his forehead.

Sol quickly shook his head and acknowledged these changes. He then turned his focus back to the ballroom that was still engulfed in flames.

His attack was extremely powerful for a Mortal Realm cultivator who had only just opened the acupoints in two of his limbs, but he wasn’t sure it was enough to harm the Nian Beast significantly.

Just as Sol thought that a loud screech echoed from the fire and the Nian Beast slithered its way out.

Sol’s face twitched when he saw it.

Not even a scratch was on its grotesque body!

Sol knew the Nian Beast was a whole Realm above him in cultivation, and he never once thought he was strong enough to defeat it, but his attack couldn’t even leave a single mark on its body?!

How was that possible? Had he been deluded himself into thinking he had improved and became stronger, when in reality he was still weak?
