The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 406- I Said Get Lost!
Chapter 406: Chapter 406- I Said Get Lost!
Woo-seong was further shocked by Sol’s introduction of this beautiful girl, but he soon snapped out of his shocked stupor. Smiling apologetically, he said.
"Ah, I apologize, I didn’t know it was sister Mar-Yue visiting."
Mar-Yue smiled as she shook her head and said.
"No hard feelings here. Woo-seong, was it? It seems like you can take a hit, do you want to have a spar?"
Upon hearing Mar-Yue’s words, Woo-seong blinked. Was he actually being challenged to a fight right now? And by the sounds of it, it was almost as if Mar-Yue was looking down on him.
Woo-seong was not angry but rather intrigued by Mar-Yue’s identity. One of the reasons for this was that he could instinctively sense a dangerous feeling coming from her, which also made him a bit apprehensive.
However, he was Woo-seong, someone who was given the titles Rising Star and Monster-level Genius. In this generation, only a handful of people could compete on equal footing with him. Woo-seong did not believe that he would lose to this girl.
However, there was something within Mar-Yue’s gaze that made his sense of apprehension increase severalfold. This girl wasn’t only dangerous, but his instincts were telling him that he should avoid sparring with her.
After hesitating for an entire day, Woo-seong finally said regretfully.
"Ah! I apologize but I can’t spar right now. Instead, I’ll go disperse that crowd that has gathered outside."
With a calm face but hurried steps, Woo-seong moved past Sol and Mar-Yue to leave through the front gate.
As he passed them, Woo-seong saw Sol shoot him a strange look while he faintly heard Mar-Yue clicking her tongue and saying something along the lines of ... ’What a missed opportunity to get a new punching bag.’
Woo-seong didn’t know why but he felt his skin crawling and a numbing sensation appearing in his head. This feeling came and went, but it was almost as if it was the Heaven’s way of telling him that he had just narrowly dodged a catastrophic disaster.
Woo-seong’s footsteps increased as he walked out of the manor. He sighed in relief inwardly as he headed for the nosy crowd.
The disciples, upon seeing him, looked at him with curious looks, but soon some recognized him and their expressions immediately turned into scowls.
"This fucker still has the face to remain in the Academy?"
M
Male disciples asked with a derisive expression on his face.
Another disciple had a similar expression as he followed up with.
"No, rather than that, why is the Academy allowing him to remain here after what his Sect did?"
"Yeah, I heard it wasn’t only some low-level Elders that were responsible for stealing those Forgotten Geniuses Innate Dharmas, but top-level Elders were also involved. It was even said that the Patriarch was involved as well."
"What?! Is that true?!"
Some disciples who hadn’t known this before cried out in alarm.
Slowly the conversation of the crowd drifted from Mar-Yue’s identity to ridiculing and mocking Woo-seong.
In the past, Woo-seong did not have a good reputation in the Academy. He was known to be extremely arrogant and overbearing. And even though he didn’t personally bully disciples or orchestrate the disciples of the Irregular Dharma Pavilion to bully the disciples of the other Pavilions, he still remained on the sidelines and did nothing to stop them even though he was the Head Disciple.
The other disciples saw this as a silent acknowledgment on his part.
Due to this, it wasn’t a surprise that the disciples who were once bullied so relentlessly would aim all of their resentment towards Woo-seong.
"Haha, you can’t be so arrogant now, can you?"
"Fucking bastard, you should leave the Academy and go die in a ditch somewhere."
"That’s right, please go and die for us, that’s the least you should do to repent for your actions."
These comments naturally flowed out of some of the disciples’ mouths when Woo-seong approached them.
However, these comments were mostly coming from the disciples in the other Pavilions that came from the Holy Sects and Great Clans.
Even though the bullied disciples took this chance to make similar comments, there was still a shadow over their hearts that made them fear drawing trouble towards them by insulting Woo-seong.
What if he snapped? They didn’t want to be at the other end of someone who lost everything’s hatred.
There were others who didn’t feel the need to return what was given to them. Woo-seong wasn’t actually the one who bullied them so they wouldn’t say anything and only watch silently.
However, there were some disciples who spoke up against these people cursing Woo-seong, though it wasn’t to stick up for him.
"Why don’t you all take a good look at yourselves? What makes you any better than those you’re ridiculing? All of you people from the Holy Sects and Great Clans are the same, a bunch of bastards that like to kick people when they’re down."
These disciples were from poorer backgrounds and didn’t have a good impression of the disciples from the Great Clans and Holy Sects. Weren’t they also arrogant and continued to look down on disciples like them? What gave them the right to criticize anyone?
"What? Are you seriously trying to stick up for this bastard?"
"I guess we should have expected this from you bunch of lowly fools, right?"
The disciples from the Holy Sects and Great Clans immediately retorted to these comments, unwilling to take even a single step back or tolerate any disrespect. Why should they?
As the crowd devolved into chaos with small arguments appearing one after another, Woo-seong silently watched them with a cold expression on his face.
Soon, Woo-seong frowned and barked.
"Shut up!"
Along with that bark came a murderous aura that washed over the disciples who were numbered over a hundred.
Woo-seong’s murderous aura was like a hand that gripped these disciples’ throats and prevented them from speaking any further.
After sweeping his cold gaze over the crowd of disciples, Woo-seong said slowly.
"I don’t care what you think of me, if you want to challenge me for how my Sect has treated you in the past then bring it! As for those of you from the other Holy Sects and Great Clans, you bastards should just stand to the side, only your Young Masters have a right to speak to me!"
"Too arrogant!"
A voice immediately sounded after Woo-seong’s words.
"How can he still act so pretentiously? Someone should put him in his place."
Hearing these comments, Woo-seong no longer felt like talking to them, they weren’t worth his breath. However, he still said.
"All of you, get lost. This is Brother Sol’s manor, not a place for your entertainment or for you to feed your gossip."
A rather burly disciple at the front of the crowd snorted and said.
"Who are you to tell us to get lost? You-"
"I SAID GET LOST!"
Woo-seong was done with these people. His murderous aura multiplied sevenfold as he shouted, and this caused all of the disciples’ hearts to leap to their throats as they retreated several dozen meters. Only then were they able to bear the murderous aura emanating from Woo-seong’s body.
