The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 433- I’ll Wash Your Back If You Wash Mine
Chapter 433: Chapter 433- I’ll Wash Your Back If You Wash Mine
Sol senses reached inside the storage bag and pulled out a small brown wine gourd. It looked ordinary but Sol could sense that there were powerful special runes carved on it. When he checked how large the space inside was, he was momentarily stunned.
The space inside the wine gourd was around fifty cubic meters of space. Meaning it could hold around fifty thousand liters of wine!
Sol was all smiles as he formed a hand sign.
A single strand of his curly hair flickered imperceptibly with golden runes before being pulled from his bundle of hair and landing in his open palm.
When those from the Jeagal Clan saw this, their eyes widened slightly. This was the first time they got any inkling that Sol knew about formations or runes.
Up until now, this was the first time Sol was showing his mastery of runes.
Suddenly, the Jeagal Clan Patriarch realized a matter he had neglected.
’Did this brat hand over our Eight Trigrams Decryption Array to the Barbarian Race?’
The Jeagal Clan Patriarch’s brows furrowed slightly, but they soon relaxed.
’It doesn’t matter if they have it. It’s worth nothing in their hands, but to us its importance is incomparable.’
After taking out a strand of his hair, Sol tied one end to the gourd and the others to his belt.
Sol held his waist with both hands and looked down at the gourd in satisfaction as it swayed back and forth. He wasn’t worried his hair would snap; it was as strong as a steel wire. Plus, with runes to reinforce it, it became several times more durable.
As for the gourd itself, it could be considered a Divine Grade artifact.
Sol reached into the storage bag and then took out the bow inside. The bow was the same size as the previous one but unlike the first, this one was pitch black.
’This bow is carved with fifty-grade runes and a few sixth-grade runes. I’ve barely just touched on fifth-grade runes.’
Sol marveled inwardly.
The bow was similarly a mid-grade Divine Artifact, however, unlike the gourd, which was more of an accessory, this was a Divine Weapon. It wasn’t as powerful as Mar-Yue’s halberd which was a peak-grade Divine Weapon, but with sixth-grade runes on it, it was close to rivaling some normal peak-grade Divine Weapons.
If Sol wasn’t wrong, from the books he read on the correlation between the strength of Divine Weapons and Spiritual Realm cultivators, not even a Heaven Expanse Realm cultivator could damage a peak-grade Divine Weapon easily.
Not unless they use a powerful Martial Arts Technique, they wouldn’t even be able to leave a dent without a few tries.
After admiring the bow, Sol looked inside the storage bag and scanned over the pie of Aether Stones and medicinal plants in one corner. He also briefly glanced at the manuals that contained the Wudang Sect’s Martial Arts Techniques.
’Hm?’
There were just over four dozen manuals, but Sol was able to scan all of them pretty quickly. He realized that there were no Martial Arts Techniques above the Spiritual Grade. There were mostly Mortal Grade Techniques.
Sol looked up at the throne as asked with a frown.
"Where are the Heaven Grade Techniques?"
Before Sol could get a response from anyone on the throne, he suddenly felt a tug on his sleeves. He turned to see that it was Woo-seong.
"Brother Sol, the Shaolin Sect is the one that has all of my Wudang Sect’s Heaven Grade Techniques."
Sol nodded; he had initially thought the Jeagal Clan was shrinking out on their part of the deal.
After Sol took out the medicinal plants and Aether Stones he handed the storage bag with manuals to Woo-seong.
Even though there were no powerful Heaven-Grade Techniques in this batch of manuals, Woo-seong was still grateful to Sol.
"Young disciple Sol, are you satisfied with the items?"
The Jeagal Clan Patriarch asked after silently watching Sol inspect his extorted items.
Sol smiled and nodded.
"I’m satisfied so I won’t back out on my part of the deal. However, a few pages are missing in the book I obtained. Almost all of the seven Formations have missing pages detailing the foundation of constructing them, with the seventh Formation missing completely."
Sol flipped over his hand and took out an old book.
The Patriarch said nothing and simply waved his hand and caused the book in Sol’s palm to fly over. freēnovelkiss.com
However, the moment Sol took out the book, his suspicions grew in his heart.
After he grabbed the book, he flipped it open. As he looked through the book, his face was expressionless; however, if one looked closely, one would be able to see that his fingers holding the book had tightened slightly.
The Grand Elders were also watching as the Patriarch looked through the book with baited breaths.
Seeing such a reaction, Sol’s eyes narrowed slightly.
After a few seconds, the Jeagal Clan Patriarch suddenly closed the book and said with a smile.
"This is indeed our lost Eight Trigrams Decryption Array. Young disciple Sol, my Jeagal Clan is immensely grateful for discovering it and bringing it back to us. In the future you are welcome to visit our Clan again, we will treat you as a distinguished guest."
Sol smiled.
"If I have time, I will definitely visit the Jeagal Clan in the future."
The Jeagal Clan Patriarch didn’t know why, but when he heard Sol’s words and saw his smile, he felt a foreboding feeling rising in his heart.
’Don’t tell me this child tore out the missing pages in this book and has them hidden somewhere? The Ancient Formation scanned his storage ring but hadn’t detected this book inside, where did he have it hidden?’
The Jeagal Clan Patriarch was suspicious of this child, but he couldn’t make him talk.
Because of this he no longer wanted to look at this brat. If he came back here saying he discovered the missing pages of the book and wanted to extort them again then he might go crazy.
’With the pages we have now, it will take a few years to reconstruct the Array.’
The Jeagal Clan Patriarch sighed inwardly but what could he do? He couldn’t force this brat to talk.
"Son, see our young friends out."
The Patriarch really didn’t want to look at this brat any longer and wanted his son to hurry and get him out of his sight.
"Yes, father."
Dae-hyun acknowledged the order with cupped fists before walking down the throne’s stairs. He smiled as he approached Sol and the others.
"Brother Sol, Miss Yue, and Brother Woo-seong follow me."
After saying that, Dae-hyun led the group to the end of the hall where he formed hand seals. A formless pressure Sol recognized to be the Ancient Formation appeared before they were teleported outside.
Outside, Dae-hyun led them back to the bustling streets where there were Jaegal Clan members of the Side Branches and to the main teleportation formation.
"Brother Sol, don’t forget you agreed to meet in the Academy to exchange those 9th-grade medicinal plants."
Dae-hyun said as the teleportation formation beneath Sol and the others activated.
"I remember, I’ll visit Brother Dae-hyun before the Two Continents Tournament in two weeks."
Dae-hyun nodded with a smile as the formation lit up and teleported Sol and the others away.
After coming back to Martial Alliance City, the sun was already beginning to set on the horizon. Sol and Mar-Yue decided to head straight back to the Academy after leaving the side branch of the Jeagal Clan, while Woo-seong chose to head to his Sect to drop off the manuals Sol recovered for him.
It didn’t take long for Sol and Mar-Yue to reach the Academy before teleporting to Alchemy Pavilion.
Sol carried Mar-Yue on his back as he closed the front gate of the manor. She was still feeling weak after exhausting her bloodline power to kill the Sixth Elder, so he had to carry her from the Heavenly Staircase.
"We’re here, do you want me to carry you to our room as well?"
Mar-Yue was lazily laying her chin on Sol’s shoulder with her eyes closed and arms wrapped around his neck.
"Our room? What are you thinking? Don’t you know it’s inappropriate for an unmarried man and woman to share a room?"
"Okay, we’ll have separate rooms."
"What? No! We’re going to share a room! Why are you giving up so easily?"
Sol couldn’t help but laugh when he heard that.
"Okay, we’re going to share a room. I’m going to take a bath; do you want to accompany me as well?"
"Sure! I’ll wash your back if you wash mine."
Sol smiled and changed directions to head for the manor’s hot spring-like washroom.
"How come I don’t see Little Zeel or Little Abdu?"
"They’re inside my Heavenly Samsara Formation."
"Wait, it can even store living things?! How can I get one?"
"Haha, you can’t since it’s one of a kind."
"*Tch*...I don’t believe I can’t create one if I study yours."
"Ha! It would be terrifying if you actually succeed. Though at that point you would be able to hide your items when Formations like the Jeagal Clan’s Ancestral Formation scan your storage ring."
"What? It scanned our storage rings?"
"It’s just a hunch, but I’m eighty percent confident it did."
"Those bastards, wait until I tell father about this..."
The two’s voices bounced off the walls of the empty manor and softly drifted out into the night.
Tonight was gearing up to be a peaceful night. The moon was out in full along with many tinkling stars accompanying it.
