The Invincible Full-Moon System-Chapter 1455: Revolution
"Get in formation! Nobody should get past us no matter what!"
"Protect the lady!"
On the backline, Selvaris along with her ten personal guards got involved.
Being unfitted to a confrontational battle, she stayed behind and watched the battle—she wouldn’t get involved unless she really had to. Initially, She was told to be ready to fight against Franklin along with Eiran and Rex but seeing how those two fares, there was no need for her to participate.
However, the Dragna Land’s soldiers were too domineering.
All of them are physically strong and once the battle reaches close range, they dominate.
Each one of them was trained to give no time for the soldiers of Dragna Sea to use their abilities.
It was fast-paced, a battle that put the Narsa House at a disadvantage.
Had it not for Rex and Eiran breaking the enemy’s formations in the middle, the battle would’ve been a lot worse. Even then, those two can’t hold out forever—the frontline of the Arcalen House was now able to reach Selvaris.
’Where’s Father? I can’t see him anywhere’ Selvaris thought worriedly.
She scanned the battlefield and found no sign of her Father and also Garvain, both of them vanished.

Fearing for the worse, she could only hope for the best.
Once Istvan fell then the Narsa House would fall so it was natural for her to be worried.
Then, a voice rang inside her mind—a telepathy.
Upon hearing what the voice said, Selvaris’ eyes flickered with a peculiar light before a smile crept to her face. Her worry—and fear disappeared in an instant, replaced with relief, "Retreat! We are going back to Dragna Sea!"
"Lady, what about the others?" One of the soldiers tasked to protect her asks.

"Don’t question my order," Selvaris said coldly. "Escort me back to the Dragna Sea, now!"
Having no other choice, the soldiers channeled their abilities and pushed the incoming enemies with a wave of flames before escorting Selvaris back. Abandoning their brothers in arms weighed heavy on their hearts but an order is an order, they couldn’t refute.
At the center of the battlefield.
Roar!!
Kaboom!
Rex’s aura exploded, sending dozens of soldiers flying away.
He was still munching on a soldier’s head and battling fiercely but Selvaris’ departure didn’t escape his eyes. Rex glanced over his shoulder, observing Selvaris and a group of soldiers scurrying back to safety without a care in the world.
No doubt about it, she was contacted by Istvan to stay away. Did Istvan and Garvain team up?
Averting his attention away, he gazed at Eiran not too far away from him.
Beyond the corpses—and blood that were caused by him, Eiran was cutting through dozens of soldiers with his chakrams. He sliced their bodies in half before coming to a halt, finding the remaining soldiers backing away from him.
Some parts of his armor were cracked and he was bleeding.
It was because of the exchange with Franklin earlier but now, Franklin has backed away.
Just then, Eiran’s pupils dilated as he gazed down vacantly.
Almost as if he was thinking about something.
Soon, he tilted his head to the side and found Rex looking directly at him, which caught him off guard. Recovering quickly, Eiran gave Rex a light nod before continuing his slaughter—it was quite a quick-witted recovery by Eiran.
But Rex could see the hint of guilt behind Eiran’s eyes.
I see how it is.
Crack!!
Ngongg!
Out of nowhere, a resounding sound came from the Obelisk of Life.
It was so loud that the battle halted for a few seconds with soldiers glancing over in surprise.
"Oh, no! The main bubble is failing!"
"What?! Is it too late for us?!"
"Voidal Monsters!! Look, Voidal Monsters!!"
Rex turned to the commotion and saw the east side of the bubble was disappearing.
He then looked up and saw that it wasn’t only the east side but the entirety of the main bubble was also experiencing the same thing, it was flickering and disappearing. From the other side, the black wind of the Black Rift began to seep inside and enshroud the entire place with a chilling air.
"Hmm… Just what are they planning?" Rex muttered questioningly.
A few seconds before Selvaris left, the System issued him two killing intent quests.
It basically confirms his suspicion.
Although he suspected that this was because of Istvan and Garvain who somehow teamed up, Rex didn’t expect them to open the main bubble like this, "All of them wanted to kill me but they also wanted me to help them kill the Voidal Knight, so opening the main bubble like this—they want me to weaken the Voidal Knight before striking. But doing it this way—it would bring a lot of casualties…"
Seeing the soldiers screaming around them, Rex clicked his tongue in displeasure.
It brought back bad memories of the military soldiers who were sent to their deaths at Dwight City.
"No, I shouldn’t think about them," Rex shook his head.
Being cramped as an Emperor for too long, he naturally developed the tendency to protect.
But these weren’t his people, he shouldn’t care.
Averting his mind from the soldiers’ wails, Rex checked his haul.
<Accumulated White Nightfall Stars: 301>
Upon checking the amount he gained, his brows dipped into a frown.
Surprisingly enough, killing the soldiers also yielded him Nightfall Stars, and some even yielded more than one Nightfall Star. He was confused by this earlier. No matter how many Voidal Pawns he killed, none of them yielded more than one.
Naturally, when he got two from killing an Ascendant Spirit, he was quite surprised.
As he checked his Spiritual Vein description once again, he learned the reason.
…
<Harbinger of the Nightfall>
Grade: High (Imbalanced)
Description: It’s a high-quality Spiritual Vein with seven small holes, causing it to be imbalanced and leak life energy over time. Only a chosen spirit that was born under the phenomenon called the Nightfall could possess this Spiritual Vein. Once chosen, the spirit would need to be occasionally placed—under the moonlight to avoid losing their sanity.
Note: It’s a Spiritual Vein reserved for the wicked.
…
Rex purchased the Spiritual Vein with the help of the System’s recommendation.
He has read the description but he didn’t see the note at the very bottom.
A Spiritual Vein reserved for the wicked? No wonder killing people gave more Nightfall Stars.
It wasn’t stated clearly but Rex could tell that killing people gave him more because this Spiritual Vein of his rewarded him for being wicked. Although he wanted to be angry at the System for recommending this Spiritual Vein, he couldn’t be angry.
For better or worse, the recommendation was spot on.
Since Rex was a Royal Black Prince, he could ignore the Spiritual Vein’s requirement.
He didn’t need to bask under the moonlight—his body naturally exudes and absorbs moonlight energy.
On top of that, with his determination to do anything that he could in order to get Devo and also the Phoenix Feather for Nivellen, doing wicked things didn’t entirely beyond—what he was determined to do so this Spiritual Vein was perfect.
Shaking his head, he looked up once again at the main bubble.
Swoosh!
Realizing that the main bubble was going to crumble, the soldiers from both sides ran back to their own homes—abandoning their earlier battle. For some reason, even though the main bubble was down, the bubbles protecting the Dragna Sea and the Dragna Land were still robust.
Both bubbles are their only hope of surviving before the Voidal Monsters surround them.
However, Rex noticed that running back home wasn’t that simple for them.
"Raarrh!!"
"Run away! Run for your lives!!"
"Seeker! Any Seeker please help me! I can’t see!"
Unlike Rex who was able to see a little bit in the Black Rift with the help of the Mask of the Banished Eclipse, the majority of the soldiers couldn’t. Out of thousands, only about a few dozen of them were Seekers and could navigate within this darkness—while the others ran in a circle, losing their sense of direction immediately.
Even the people who were able to reach the other bubbles—they weren’t in a better place.
"What?! Let me in!!"
"How come the bubble was locked?! Who would do this?"
"Did the Oblisk of Life malfunction because of its lack of Life Energy?"
"If we can’t get in, we’re doomed… We’re locked out here to be food for the Voidal Monsters"
Swoosh!
Once the main bubble disappeared, Voidal Monsters—that were lured here by the scent of life energy surged inside almost instantly. Rex watched as black squid-like creatures flew inside and ran amok, all of them rushed like bullets and attached themselves to the soldiers by wrapping their tentacles around the soldiers’ faces.
Some of the Ascendant Spirits were able to hold on their own, cutting the creatures left and right.
High Spirits, however, were completely annihilated.
None of them were able to retaliate as their life energy was sucked completely out of their bodies.
Rex has faced these Voidal Pawns before, their attack patterns were fixed—shooting from the shadows and always aiming for the head—so it was easy for him to kill them. He made simple but very effective swipes to kill them in mid-air.
Gazing upward, he saw a swarm of them swirling like a hurricane eye above.
But he wasn’t worried.
Regulating his breaths, Rex channeled his life energy inside of him—and spread them to every inch of his body. Once his robust life energy was settled, he sealed it off entirely, and with a light grunt, Rex’s killing intent aura—thick like water exploded like wildfire.
It caught these Voidal Pawns off guard.
All of them that tried to attack him seconds ago instantly scattered.
"Just like back then, these Voidal Pawns were cowards—easily scared away" He uttered nonchalantly.
Even though their sheer numbers were terrifying, they were easily scared off.
"Retreating into the safety of the bubbles, abandoning their soldiers outside—forcing them to fight for their lives right after they teamed up," Rex thought aloud, his gaze sweeping the battlefield. "This is a lot more than I thought. They were trying to create a new system, forging a new era—by uniting both houses through necessity, to survive against the Voidal Monsters"
"Only the strong would be accepted in this new system they are making," He smirked.
Rex then turned to the Dragna Land’s hubble as if he could see Istvan and Garvain behind it.
"Once the weak were rooted out, they would appear and save the day together," Rex channeled his life energy again, activating both his Soul Artifacts in preparation to fight, "I can’t have them get what they wanted, can I? Let’s create chaos"
Just as he said that—his senses were alerted of a powerful presence.
He turned to the other side and saw a stat window approaching from the darkness beyond his vision.
It was the Three-faced Leecher.
Although he expected the Voidal Knight to be gnarly in appearance, the creature that emerged was even more gnarly than Rex initially expected. It has a humanoid form, donned in a black robe made entirely of voidal energy.
It has no eyes, three faces, hands of sharp tentacles, and four robust tentacles on its back.
And more importantly, it seemed to be controlling the squid-like Voidal Pawns.
An Alpha.
Being near it alone rang Rex’s danger sense.
All the fibers inside of him were telling him that this creature was dangerous.
But something dangerous isn’t new for Rex, he was used to being face-to-face with dangerous entities.
Smiling inwardly, Rex made a leap and landed right in front of this Voidal Knight.
He straightened his form, as monstrous as the Three-faced Leecher, and gazed at it intently.
For a moment, Rex and the Three-faced Leecher sized each other up and almost at the same time, both of them turned away to face the soldiers around them. Both of them turned their backs on each other as if coming to a mutual agreement.
Rex then smirked inwardly, "Arcalen House… Narsa House… You’re in trouble now"
