Chapter 550: Chapter 550: This Is Our Last Chance

The three members of the Jacobs Family were in the house, so anxious that they were losing hair. Yvette Jacobs even tried calling Julian Sterling, but his phone was always off, completely unreachable.

A glint flashed in her eyes, and she suddenly thought of Eleanor Hollis. If there was still hope, it would be Eleanor Hollis.

"Mom, if we kidnap Eleanor Hollis, Hugo Quinn will definitely be willing to pay this money. Or we could kidnap Hugo Quinn’s son; both of them are extremely important to Hugo Quinn. This is our last chance."

Yvette sat on the couch, her face gloomy. Since they were doomed either way, they might as well take a gamble.

Gabriel Jacobs and Mae Summers exchanged a glance. They had thought about this plan before but did not dare to proceed, considering Hugo Quinn’s status.

But now they were out of options, backed into a corner.

"This is the only way, Dad, Mom. We have no room for hesitation. In two days, those people will come. I don’t think we’ll survive this time. We’re doomed either way, so we might as well take a chance!"

Yvette clenched her fists tightly. She had always despised Eleanor Hollis, who always carried a superior air. This was her chance to take revenge.

Without much hesitation, Gabriel Jacobs and Mae Summers agreed to the plan.

The Jacobs Family still had a tiny bit of assets left, which was enough to hire a common hitman.

Unbeknownst to Eleanor Hollis, the Jacobs Family had set their sights on her. With Marcus’s health improving, her mood was getting better day by day.

In the evening, when Hugo Quinn returned home, he was seriously handling some documents in front of the couch.

Eleanor walked over to take a look, only to find a photo of a wedding dress on the screen. Was Hugo Quinn looking at wedding dresses?

Eleanor’s heart suddenly skipped a beat, fearing to move forward.

She noticed that Hugo was modifying the wedding dress, seemingly dissatisfied, as he kept frowning slightly.

Was Hugo Quinn designing a wedding dress himself?

She had never known that this man had such skills.

"Hugo Quinn, you are..."

After hesitating for a long time, she finally asked gently, feeling as if a big hand was gripping her heart tightly.

Hugo was taken aback, probably not expecting her to see it, but quickly recovered and spoke, "Our wedding, have you forgotten? I said that after everything was over, I would give you a grand wedding. Last time at Jude Shaw’s wedding, I saw the envy in your eyes, Eleanor. Come and see, do you like this wedding dress?"

He was indeed designing the wedding for her!

Eleanor felt unworthy, to have him personally design the wedding.

She quickly walked over, and upon seeing the magnificent and elegant wedding dress, her eyes lit up instantly.

"I never knew you had such skills, really surprising, and it’s beautifully designed."

Hugo’s lips curled at her praise, pulling her by the waist and leaving a kiss on her cheek.

"I know your body best, the exact measurements from every part, so having me design the dress is the most suitable."

He spoke such cheeky words, yet his face remained completely sincere.

Eleanor laughed, nestling into his embrace.

"Then I’ll trouble President Quinn. I also want to see if President Quinn’s perceptions are accurate."

Hugo raised an eyebrow, extended both hands, and pinched her waist, "Don’t worry, it will be tailor-made for you."

They looked at each other, their eyes filled with affection, and couldn’t help but kiss each other.

Marcus was just coming downstairs and happened to see this scene, quickly retreating back up.

Dad and Mom seemed to be getting more and more affectionate. That’s good.

He hid in a corner and chuckled secretly, taking out his phone to snap a picture, and saved it.

Eleanor and Hugo kissed for a while, then slowly got up. If they continued like this, they might end up shamelessly fooling around here.

Hugo straightened her collar, continuing to sneak kisses on her cheek.

"I’ll design the wedding dress as soon as possible, and you should think carefully about where to hold the wedding. I’ll agree to anything."

Eleanor nodded, feeling elated in her heart.

She immediately shared the news with Samantha Sullivan and took out her phone to snap a picture of Hugo.

"The most handsome man is the one taking things seriously. You wouldn’t know, would you? He’s designing a wedding dress for me. I just found out today that he can even sketch designs."

Eleanor’s tone was filled with pride, as if she wanted to pat her chest and say, look, this man is mine.

Samantha was a bit speechless, but still happy for her friend.

"Keep showing off, will you?"

Eleanor laughed sheepishly, glancing at Hugo. What was it? The more she looked at this man, the more pleasing he seemed to the eye.

She chatted with Samantha for a while, feeling extraordinarily satisfied, before reluctantly putting down her phone.

Another day passed, and since last night’s lengthy discussion with Samantha about wedding dresses, the two couldn’t resist planning to go shopping together, as they heard the brand they liked most was launching a new line today.

Eleanor rarely dressed up, but as soon as she stepped out of the villa, a car started following her.

Today she was driving herself and quickly noticed it.

Her brow furrowed, wondering who had sent people this time. Since being with Hugo, she’d encountered quite a few such incidents, with everyone treating her like a pushover.

This was Serenford, and on a public street, she didn’t believe these people would dare try anything.

Eleanor’s phone rang; it was Samantha.

"Eleanor, are you here yet? I don’t see you."

Eleanor stomped on the gas pedal.

"A car is following me. Don’t wait for me; find somewhere safe to hide."

Samantha was startled, "I’ll inform Hugo. Don’t go to any remote places."

"I know."

Eleanor drove straight toward the shopping mall. Seeing the car behind trying to ram her, she floored the gas pedal, colliding with several vehicles along the way.

She was doing it on purpose; only by attracting attention would people notice her car. The more people who paid attention, the less likely those following would dare act recklessly.

"That bitch!"

Sitting in the car, Yvette cursed, wishing she could grab Eleanor Hollis right now. She had spent all of the Jacobs Family’s savings to hire a few people, yet couldn’t even get close to Eleanor Hollis.

"Drive faster; if we enter the mall, it’ll be harder to make a move."

She was anxious; this was the last chance, and she had to capture Eleanor Hollis.

The men in the front seats chuckled. Who said they dared not act in the mall? This time, they were targeting the wife of the CEO of Grandeur Group. Even if the police came, they’d have to think twice.
