Chapter 77: Chapter 15: Witch Bishop - Forbidden Technique Potion

Zorn’s visitor was Bishop Teresa.

Zorn was a little puzzled by Bishop Teresa’s visit.

Regardless, he had to receive her properly.

High-grade tea from the island plantations, exquisite pastries, and an assortment of afternoon tea snacks were served.

Zorn also instructed the kitchen to prepare a lavish dinner.

It wasn’t just Bishop Teresa visiting this time; she had brought four other Witches with her.

And all of them were high-Level; even the lowest-Level one had reached Level 4.

For so many of them to come over, it was clearly no small matter.

Zorn led Bishop Teresa on a tour, introducing the various parts of his manor.

Although the manor had already begun to decline when Zorn took it over,

it hadn’t gone bankrupt, after all, and its foundation was still intact.

Not to mention, as Zorn’s wealth rapidly accumulated, many new additions had been made to the estate.

As they walked, Bishop Teresa began to speak slowly.

"The Plague Potion and the Holy Healing Potion have been selling remarkably well recently."

"At the beginning of the month, those young girls arrived at the Steam Potion Factory."

"It’s clear they like it there very much."

"They spend their workdays researching the potions they love, and after work, they enjoy themselves around the residential area."

"To be honest... when we were on the High Mountain, I rarely saw them smile so happily."

"More importantly, they are very interested in modern Pharmacy and Magic Potion Science."

Bishop Teresa paused here.

"However, Zorn, as you know, they are all Witches. They were handpicked from numerous tribes, possess great Talent, and have many powerful means at their disposal."

"Using their own methods, they’ve been spreading news of what they’ve seen and heard in Ogrande City back to the High Mountain. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem."

"But just a few days ago, I suddenly received a flood of letters from the tribes."

"They said that Witches from several tribes, those with shapeshifting abilities, had turned into giant eagles and secretly flown away from the mountain."

"Just yesterday, a few Witches I dispatched to investigate discreetly discovered something."

"Those Witches who snuck away have gathered with the ones working in the Steam Factory."

"Furthermore, they’re discussing how to get more of their sisters to come over."

Hearing this, Zorn couldn’t help but laugh.

"It seems they really like Ogrande City."

’What harm could a few Witches do? They’re just drawn to the glamour of the big city!’

Ogrande City!

A city at the heart of the surging steam-powered wave.

It boasted a developed steam industry, vast quantities of goods, delicacies, and services, clean streets, clothes of every style, diverse cultures, artistic products, and timely access to the world outside through the Steam Daily.

The civilization of steam-powered commerce was on full display here.

Here, one could easily touch the World!

It was understandable that those talented and powerful Witches, upon hearing from their friends how much the outside world had changed, would sneak away to the big city.

"They may love Ogrande City, but I’m afraid Ogrande City won’t love them back."

Bishop Teresa voiced her concerns.

"Previously, I only sent the first batch, about twenty young Witches, to Ogrande City."

"But back on the high plateau, there are many, many more Witches. And as time passes, a new group of young Witches is born every year."

"Moreover, in recent years, the powers of the mystic and the Extraordinary have been steadily reawakening, and the number of Witches who awaken each year is on the rise."

"If we don’t handle the issue of Witches sneaking into Ogrande City,"

"then as more and more of them arrive, I’m afraid it will cause a great deal of trouble, possibly even escalating into a disaster!"

"A Witch who loses her way can also lose control!"

"Some people might even deliberately try to tempt the Witches toward corruption."

"If the Witches cause any major trouble in Ogrande City, all of them will be expelled!"

Zorn nodded slightly at her words.

Zorn knew better than anyone how terrifying Witches could be.

While they might not have been walking atom bombs, they were absolutely a force that no one could ignore.

If they stirred up serious trouble, no one would be able to contain the fallout.

"So, what do you have in mind?"

Zorn got to the heart of the matter.

Bishop Teresa considered for a moment before replying.

"The Monastery can’t accommodate that many Witches."

"Nor can it provide them with jobs."

"If..."

Bishop Teresa paused.

"If there were a larger Steam Factory where the Witches could work, they could gradually adapt to life in Ogrande City."

At these words, Zorn’s pupils constricted slightly.

’A large-scale Witch Potion Steam Factory.’

’I’d love that too, but isn’t this moving too fast?’

Zorn had a great many potion formulas in his possession.

Expanding production with a large-scale potion factory in Ogrande would be absolutely no problem.

He could easily afford to have a large number of Witches work in the factory.

It would even further boost the prosperity of Ogrande City’s potion industry.

Twenty or thirty Witches was one thing.

But when hundreds, or even several hundred, Witches were working in the potion factory, coming and going in large groups...

...that would constitute an Extraordinary Power that could not be taken lightly.

Never mind the Church; even the Ogrande City officials wouldn’t permit it so easily.

As he mulled it over, Zorn slowly asked,

"Right now, this news about Witches sneaking into Ogrande City... have you told anyone else?"
