The Martial Unity-Chapter 3012: Only Hope
The leaders of human civilization couldn’t help but gape at the map of the true world before their very eyes.
No matter how much they gazed at it, they couldn’t help but grow completely stunned by the sheer gravity of the revelation that the existence of other continents and a whole world beyond the Panama Continent and the Great Nam Ocean.
The hypothesis that the Panama Continent and the Great Nam Ocean had been trapped within a manifold was also beyond fathoming.
"…Let us remain within the realm of facts," the Emperor of Harmony heaved a tired sigh. "We will go crazy if we try speculating about the ontology of this world. For now, let us hone in on the fact."
He raised a finger as his powerful golden eyes sharpened.
"We are in a new world. A world with new continents and with new oceans."
This fact was the most important fact that hung in the air, weighing down on the entire atmosphere.
"The most immediate conclusion that I believe we can draw is that there is most likely no acute threat from the anomaly itself," the Emperor of Harmony remarked. "Earlier, we feared that the anomaly itself would directly harm us. With this, it is safe to say that the anomaly was merely limited to this profound to change to the world and the birth of this world, whether true or new. The phenomenon has passed entirely and is no more a real threat."
Although this truth was not guaranteed, it did seem likely that the threat the prospects of a direct threat from the anomaly itself was no longer there.
"The most important thing now is intelligence."
The Emperor of Harmony’s tone was absolutely unambiguous.
"We need information on not just the true world but also the events regarding the battle with the Beast That Roared, which is arguably even more important," the Emperor of Harmony continued. "Previously, I might have been content simply waiting for the Martial Sages of human civilization to conclude their battle and report back in the event of success or defeat, now, I’m not entirely sure we have the time to wait."
His tone reflected the urgency of the situation that they were in right now.
His eyes sharpened with severity.
"We can no longer afford to wait for them to be done now that an absolute unknown potential threat, the entire world around us, has emerged before us," the Emperor of Harmony remarked. "There are countless possibilities. It is possible that the true world is devoid of life and is entirely ripe for the taking, but it is also possible that the true world is extraordinarily dangerous with supremely powerful lifeforms or even powerful human civilizations. We must hope for the best and prepare for the worst. And right now we are in our most vulnerable state without the help of our Martial Sages."
This would have been an acceptable deficiency if they were dealing with enemies and threats that they were accustomed to and able to handle somewhat decently. However, in the face of this potential threat of extraordinary magnitude, it was far too untenable not to have the Martial Sages by their side.
"But what do we do?" the Gorteaun President gritted his teeth. "We have yet to get any update on the outcome of the battle!"
The Emperor of Harmony also grew grim at that reminder.
It was true that the Martial Sages were virtually unreachable at the moment.
Either they had won and were in recovery.
Or they had lost and were dead.
Or they were still in battle.
Regardless, in any of the three possibilities, they could not contact the Martial Sages immediately.
"Dammit…!" The Consul of the Nest of the Terra clenched his fist. "This was the absolute worst time that this event happened!"
The air grew perilously intense as human civilization suffered from the dread of having to face a horrifyingly unknown potential threat without its greatest defenders there to protect them.
Martial Sages, even after they were gone, were the source of psychological safety for all human leaders across human civilization.
Even if they weren’t protecting them in front of their eyes, they knew that their brave warriors fought in hellish environments against devilish monsters all to protect human civilization from the wrath of not just the quasi-Transcendents but also the Beast that Roared.
"There may be a way to get greater information from the epicenter of the Beast Domain."
Emperor Rael’s tone was solemn. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Serious.
Prime Minister Edward sharpened his gaze as he understood what his rival-turned-ally had in mind.
"You want to use the World Bridge to deploy the Chosen One who could survive the epicenter of the Beast Domain just long enough to perceive what is happening, right?"
The other leaders of human civilization around the table lit up at the simple but resourceful idea to make use of what they had to understand what was happening within the Beast Domain.
The Emperor of Harmony nodded slowly. "There are some risks associated with the practice, but…"
His eyes sharpened. "…it is worth it."
The risks, of course, were very clear.
The death of Tokugawa Ieyasu was an extremely heavy stake.
He was an extraordinary asset, regarded as being of the same calibre as Rui when it came to how divergent he was as a Martial Artist and the unfathomable feats he was capable of. The Kandrian Empire couldn’t afford to lose him, especially not with an unfathomable potential threat unlike anything human civilization had ever seen before.
At the same time, they needed to understand what the outcome or happenings of the battle were.
The Esoterist directed a knowing gaze at the Emperor of Harmony. "With the Abyssal Mirror MECHA, he has reached a level of combat that only the Dawnbringer had been able to reach within the Master Realm. Any other Martial Master would perish by just being in the vicinity of the battle, but if it’s him, then it’s possible."
The Emperor of Harmony nodded with seriousness.
"He is our only hope at the moment."
