"It was a calculated risk," Kayden said coldly, but inside, he was in panic. His life passed before his eyes; he saw his divine soul beginning to be completely consumed by something he did not even understand.

"Uh-huh, sure it was, you idiot," the cat snorted and ignored Kayden for a few seconds. After that, he began speaking normally again. "We are only a few celestials, and each of them chooses an heir in the timelines to ascend to the heavens."

Secrets and more secrets began to be revealed to Kayden without any pause, information that no mortal or divine being could possess. Probably in all timelines, only a very few individuals held this knowledge.

"You would be forbidden to die in a normal situation. Not only that, but I would make you live the same timeline trillions of times until you were capable of reaching the point I desire."

"You want me to become a celestial, don't you?" Kayden was extremely precise in his guess. "But there is a very obvious problem with that. It is practically impossible, even with direct support from you."

"Impossible? That word cannot express how ridiculously low the chance is of you becoming a celestial," the cat looked at Kayden sideways. "If I gathered all the Hypnos from all timelines, none of them besides me would be capable of reaching the celestial level. Each timeline has at least one different event; there are no two alike, even if the difference is the flap of a fly's wings on a different planet."

This time, it was Kayden who fell silent. His mind was incapable of understanding how many timelines existed. Perhaps it was something truly infinite, something he was incapable of measuring in numbers. But even so, only a single mage among all of those was capable of prevailing over all the others.

Another matter became very clear to Kayden: he was one of the most normal among the existing Kaydens. At best, he could be considered average — without talent, without strength, and without great prospects — but…

"I do not want your inheritance. I do not need it." Among all the Kaydens,s there was a great chance he was the most insane of them and the most arrogant. Hypnos laughed with slight surprise.

"One more unique attitude among them all." Most Kaydens would have accepted to learn, but they would not change their path; they would only refine it based on the new knowledge. "What makes you think you can get there without help?"

Kayden's reason for not choosing it was very obvious in his own mind. The knowledge that would come with Hypnos was too vast; it would be impossible for him to maintain his true essence with that. Think of a medium-sized lake: if it is connected to a river, the lake would simply grow larger, but if it received an ocean, its form would be completely lost.

"Under the sun," Kayden's words were cliché, but it was exactly what he wanted to express: "I am unique."

Kayden left that universe without major differences in his strength — at least that was what should have happened. But his new understanding of the law of chaos simply elevated his strength to a new level once again, to a completely different stage than before.

His exit was into a universe of his choice, more specifically, one that contained more laws he could grasp. In this particular one,e there were only some third-level gods, a level he did not even need to think about to surpass.

The same process as before began in that universe. This time the duration was exactly one single week. That was enough time for the gods to gather, understand what was happening, and…

For the first idiots to kill themselves trying to face Kayden. After that, the elite of that universe simply abandoned the place and left the weaker ones to die without any hope of survival.

The obvious happened after some time. Kayden consumed everything and all the laws. That place had some new and different ones; Kayden's knowledge increased even more, and at the same tim,e very little. It was similar to gaining more pieces of a puzzle — even though there were more pieces, it was an ever larger puzzle.

After that, Kayden entered the universe of chaos again. It did not take even a single hour for him to find another universe to consume. It took even less time for his actions to begin spreading through that timeline. In only a few years, there were hundreds of universes and an even greater number of gods being exiled.

A few thousand years later, Kayden's method of operation had already become known even among high-level mortals of the universes. Those of lesser strength were still incapable of obtaining that knowledge. Even though Kayden had eliminated many universes, they were few in the grand scheme of things. Thousands of universes were absolutely nothing considering everything.

At the same time that all of this was happening, Kayden was further improving his pocket world. First of all, its space had already reached a bizarre level of depth. After consuming so many universes, Kayden's basic laws were already completely trained.

His performance in a common fire law, for example, was the same as that of a first-level god who had focused his entire life on it. This might seem basic considering Kayden's talent and the ease with which he destroyed third-level divine mages every day, but when we are talking about millions of common laws being elevated to that level of understanding, it was bizarre.

In just a few thousand years, Kayden managed to reach a level of knowledge that few gods had ever reached in that timeline. His progress was completely terrifying. It almost seemed as if he were using cheats in that world, almost as if he had a classic novel system from his old world.

His world was completely developed. Kayden allowed only the best souls to enter; only the purest souls were capable of entering his world. Any other was harshly rejected and blocked.

This strong selection caused his world to develop rapidly. Intelligent life emerged within a few centuries, and the first mage capable of manipulating mana appeared even faster. Kayden did not make any manual alterations to this; he literally allowed the world to follow its natural flow at that moment.
