The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 366: The bloody head - I
Catherine’s lips quivered, like she was about to cry, and this was the bad cry. I knew that from my experience. Big fat tears had gathered in her eyes that were about to fall down and almost squeeze my heart with them.
"But I cannot!" She yelled, stopping her foot down, signaling the incoming tantrum before her crying session. "You will not believe me, and I will not tell you anything!"
I could almost feel the headache coming. Marilyn did not look good as well. Yet, she stood in front of the doors with her arms crossed silently. Tell Katherine whenever she turned around to look that she was not moving until Catherine would not start speaking.
I took a few steps closer to my sister, and then placed my hands on her shoulders, squeezing them for comfort before rubbing them on her skin. "I do not know what has warranted my trust to be so fickle towards you, but let me tell you with what has happened to me in the past year, I will trust anything you have to say. Provided yes, I will question the person to know the reason why they did it but there is no way I will not trust my sister and what she is saying."
From bulls to vampires to Marilyn, coming back from the dead, and even watching her body dangle.. I had seen a lot more than that. What I had been through in the past years, I could certainly believe whatever Catherine had to tell me.
"What did you go through?" Hari question was asked very innocently, but it was the eyes that had the anticipation of hearing something similar. She had gone through something bad and she wanted to find comfort annoying but I had gone through.
"You will be told everything that happened with Genevive when you tell us what happened to you." Merliyn firmly told her while casually
leaning on the door.
Catherine glanced at her before looking back at me, and then dropped her shoulders, resigning to the fate presented to her.

"I don’t know where to begin.." she mumbled, playing with her fingers while looking away from our eyes.
"Begin from the day you were told to leave the palace." but that statement, I also wanted to add a number of questions, but I knew I had to be patient. Since Catherine had come this far, it was only better that she set the pace herself.
"Almost 5 months ago, I was woken up by Lala, and then she gave me the most uncomfortable cloak I had. It was not like the ones you had made for me."
Lala was what she called her lady in waiting and her nanny. What she was given to cover herself must have been something that was bought at the Bazar so that her status would be concealed. Luxurious and good-looking clothes would have everyone figure out who Katherine was, and she would have been kidnapped in no time.
"It was really dark then. I thought they were just taking me to you or to Estelle, that maybe you had come home, but that did not happen. They took me from the basement and the tunnel was never ending but then finally, we exited into the dark of the night and then we were in a wagon. I fell asleep and when I woke up I think in the evening, we were nowhere near the capital."
"I was asking Lala again and again where we were going. Of course, we were not meeting any of my sisters or any other family members because all of them were in the capital. She did not answer me and just asked me to stay quiet and not say another word. Before we knew it, around midnight or so, we were in front of a really small and old cottage. She told us that this was going to be our home for sometime and now my name was going to be Jenna."
She went on to tell me how she spent a week in that house, adjusting to the people and finding girls of her age group and playing with them. Laura, her lady in waiting had specially instructed her to not speak to the boys at any cost. She was just to be with the girls, and if any boy ever tried to talk to her, she was supposed to come home straight away.
"But then one night, they were screaming and crying, and I heard the banging sounds all around. Lala woke me up and from the back entrance of the cottage, where there was a small tour, we went into the jungle. There was a man waiting for us, and with him on a horse we fled. I don’t know what happened, but I think if I were soldiers in the village that we were staying in."
"We traveled for two days straight, did not go through any of the villages directly, but only circled around them and only one of them went in to get the food. Most of the time lala was by my side and three days later I think we went to another village where we stayed. But then.."
"Then?"
"He was in Lala’s room, I think he was going through her stuff and somehow the crest that I had as a necklace fell through. She mediately picked it up and asked who she was and who I was. Lala did not answer him but then he-he hit her." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Marilyn gasped and I closed my eyes.
"She was on the floor from what I saw. I was peeking into the room," she admitted sheepishly, " then said something that he was going to ask me since I would break easily and Laura got up from behind him, and she hit him with a wooden stick she would keep under her best. She continued hitting him and Geneviève, I saw the blood. It was.. it was so much!"
I pulled her closer, giving her the break she needed.
