The Royal Mark-Chapter 419: Peace and Good News

The most awaited renewal of vows of Elsa and Chris arrived and everything was perfectly set for their wedding. Ambros and Elandir took the mirror to the venue and placed it inside a box that would disguise it as a life-size screen so the guests would think that it was just an ordinary video call with Elsa’s relatives and friends from another country.

The ceremony was short and simple since the couple wanted to proceed with the reception right away where the real celebration starts.

"Congratulations, Elsa and Chris. You have no idea how happy is everyone here. Arcanis and Zemaria are not the only ones celebrating with you today. Stefan, Tyrion, and Yejin joined the fun too.

The whole Vectus is having a party right now. I am sure that the soldiers will have headaches tomorrow, they are the ones who drink the most," Andrius reported to the couple.

"Oh no, isn’t that bad? I mean who will guard the kingdoms then if all the soldiers were drunk?" Elsa asked.

"Vectus is very different now ever since you and Christopher left. It is not peaceful here. The only place that needed strict guarding was the volcano in the southeast, formerly under Kurzen. But even that was already sealed, we just stationed guards there for added security. The peace that we are enjoying now wouldn’t be possible if not because of you. Thank you, my niece," Andrius replied.

"And let me thank you as well for helping me get close to this handsome king!" Laureen suddenly peeked into the mirror and showed her left hand with a diamond ring.

"Oh gosh! Is this what I am thinking?" Elsa queried with excitement.

Andrius scratched the back of his neck with an embarrassed smile. "Well, I got inspired and motivated to follow my heart after watching you and Christopher pursue the love of your life. So, I decided to pursue mine. Our wedding preparation is in place and you are invited."

"Of course, we will come! I mean, watch from here." Everyone laughed at Elsa making her laugh too.

"It is so great to hear good news from there, it makes me happy and less lonely about not being with all of you," Elsa remarked.

"Well, if you want more good news, I have one." This time it was Rylie who stood in front of the mirror with a baby bump.

Elsa’s mouth widened and hugged the mirror as if she was hugging Rylie. "Finally! The long wait is over!" she exclaimed.

"Not exactly, I still need to push this one out and I can’t wait to do that. This baby is not letting me sleep anymore," Rylie jested.

"There is more good news." Elsa heard Baahu’s voice next.

"Lexi couldn’t be here today because she’s taking care of our children. We now have two and the youngest is only a month old now."

"Oh wow! I missed a lot!" Elsa uttered.

"There’s more... Remember the humans that helped you escape Kurzen?" Arla asked.

"Yes! Lulu, Lily, Lala, and their parents."

"Right! The sisters are now in Zemaria serving under the Royal Guards. Leon now works in the castle’s vegetable garden, while Beatrice is serving under me."

"Wow, everyone is doing fine with their lives. But how come I don’t see Dasher?" Elsa questioned.

"Oh, he is in Saldivar. He and Queen Yejin got close and he decided to stay there."

Chris cleared his throat and it was Elsa’s sign to give way to her husband after monopolizing the mirror.

"How is Arcanis?" Chris asked.

"King Hoven and the elite alphas are fine if that’s what you’re asking," Neia replied. "They are having a battle exercise with Stefan that’s why they couldn’t come today but they promised to show up in the next full moon."

The two sides continued to catch up while all the guests with having fun eating, dancing, and drinking until the host called up Elsa and Chris for their dance. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Let’s all give Mr. and Mrs. Jorgensen a big round of applause as they do their husband and wife dance!"

"Go on dear, we will watch you," Hera said.

When the couple was already in the middle of the dance floor Chris whispered to Elsa, "You are as beautiful as the first day I met you, perhaps even more today since the happiness from your heart radiates not only in your smile but in your whole being."

"Really? I am just so happy that even though we ended up here in Novus, away from everyone, everyone is still happy and healthy. I couldn’t ask for more."

"Me too, wife, me too."

Others joined them on the dance floor with the host gave a go signal for the guests to join the couple.

Marina was sitting near the mirror, watching the kids tell stories about themselves to the people in Vectus when she noticed someone’s presence behind her before turning around.

Elandir extended his hand to her and asked, "May I have this dance?"

Marina gladly took his hand and they both headed to the dance floor. After some time, she noticed how anxious Elandir was acting.

"What is wrong with you? Are you sick? Do you want to sit?" she asked equally anxious.

"No, I’m fine, let’s finish this dance."

"We don’t have to finish this dance, you are obviously not fine!" Marina’s voice was a little loud and the people near them heard her including Chris and Elsa.

"Let’s sit, love. This is something that we should watch," Chris suggested making Elsa wonder but she obeyed anyway.

"I told you, I am fine," Elandir insisted.

"You are not fine!"

Elandir closed his eyes and sighed. He signaled a waiter to come to him and that waiter gave him a small box which he gave to Marina.

"What’s this?" she asked, her heart was pounding. The size of the box was a little bigger than a ring box but she was still expecting a ring inside it.

’Perhaps he will give me a set instead of just a ring since he knows I already have a of rings since I own a jewelry shop.’

"Open it."

Marina opened it with a wide smile and saw a clam plushie inside, making her smile fade.

"What the fuck is this?!" Marina lost it. "I came here for you and spent five years hoping that you were happy back home. But then you gave up everything and followed me here. And now you are just going to give me this ugly stuffed toy? What were you thinking?!"

"Open it, there is a zipper on the side, open it."

Marina rolled her eyes and noticed that everyone was already watching them, so she quickly opened it, not noticing that Elandir had gone down on one knee.

Her tears fell when she saw what was inside.

"Marina, please don’t yell anymore and say yes. Will you marry me?" Elandir uttered causing Marina to look at him.

"The clam plushie is so cute, of course, I will marry you!"

Chris stood up and whistled, prompting Elsa to rise as well and shout, "Yay! Congratulations!" The crowd joined in, clapping their hands and offering warm greetings.
