The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King-Chapter 218: Sister on Top
Chapter 218 - 218: Sister on Top
"Ah—!"
As her collar was suddenly yanked open, a flash of panic appeared in Bertha's beautiful eyes.
In a flustered attempt to stop John from tearing it further, she instinctively leaned forward.
The outcome was predictable.
They both fell into the lake.
Bertha landed on top. John was pinned beneath her.
It wasn't that John couldn't dodge or push her back toward the shore in time—it was just that he didn't.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Water splashed.
John quickly flipped over and locked his arms around Bertha's waist. Without mercy, he smacked her round hips repeatedly.
Combined with the rippling water, the scene created a rather... energetic tableau.
"Naughty girl! Naughty girl! I'm going to kick your ass today!" John scolded seriously.
The lake water had soaked through both of their clothes, making the thin fabric cling tightly to their skin.
Forget about John. As for Bertha, her well-proportioned, toned figure—with not an ounce of excess fat—was outlined perfectly through her soaked clothes.
The nearby law enforcers froze at the sight of the splashing water.
Nate was the first to react.
"The King of Horizon is safeguarding national security! Everything he does is top secret!"
Then he shouted,
"Everyone, turn around right now!"
"Yes, sir!"
All the law enforcers turned in unison and shouted:
"King of Horizon—mighty and domineering!"
Bertha clenched her teeth. Her waist was pinned and she couldn't move, but she felt another sharp sting on her buttocks.

She gritted out, both furious and flustered, "Little bastard! Try it again?"
Crack! Crack! Crack!
"Try again?"
Crack! Crack! Crack!
"Try again?"
Sheesh. You're the one who keeps bringing it up.
John's hand came down with more force.
"Ahhh! I'll kill you!"
At first, Bertha flailed at the water's surface, but after taking a particularly hard hit, she dove underwater, using her agility to twist free.
Pivoting around John's arm, she spun beneath the surface and emerged in front of him—then sank her teeth into his arm.
Damn it!!!
By the time the two of them dragged themselves ashore, both were soaked and battered.
Bertha glared at him fiercely.
But when she saw the pained expression on John's face, she couldn't help but snort with laughter.
"Serves you right! You hit me so hard—it really hurt!" she grumbled, rubbing her sore backside.
John was speechless.
Who was the one being cruel here?
He just wanted her to feel a little pain—not destroy his happiness for the rest of his life. Who could he even complain to?
He considered arguing, but the sight of her bared canines gleaming in the sunlight as she gritted her teeth made him shut his mouth wisely.
Bertha smiled sweetly and said, "I forgive you this time, considering you're injured."
You're the one who did it first—how did this suddenly become my fault?
What an unreasonable woman!
The two sat by the lake for a while, letting their clothes dry out a bit. Then Bertha stood up and dusted herself off.
"Well, it's about time I head back to the Martial Arts League. Thanks a lot, Mr. Lopez—the good citizen who insists on staying anonymous."
She winked.
"You helped us capture a dangerous fugitive. That was excellent teamwork!"
"I'm not feeling the joy," John muttered.
On the way back, Bertha asked, "Hey, little bastard—do the other sisters know you're the King of Horizon?"
After thinking for a moment, John replied, "Up to now, I don't think Second Sister, Third Sister, or Fourth Sister know yet."
He paused.
"As for Eldest Sister... I'm not sure. I can't read her. But she does know I'm a cultivator."
Bertha rolled her eyes. "Should I tell them?"
"Whatever. I've never tried to hide my identity. But even if I told them, they probably wouldn't believe me."
He shrugged.
"They're not like you. You're part of the Martial Arts League—you know about the Oracle Token."
"Well, in that case, I won't say anything. Let's see how long it takes for them to find out."
John shot her a look. "Say whatever you want—just don't slander me again."
"If you hadn't called me a big liar in the sisters' group chat, I would've already cultivated with them!"
"Liar! Liar! Liar!" she chanted with a grin.
Since Bertha had to return to the League to investigate the mutant case, John didn't bother her any further.
Instead, he made his way back to the Kelvin family alone.
When the members of the Kelvin family saw him, fear flickered in their eyes.
He had single-handedly reversed the Martial Arts League's stance—and returned unscathed.
A man like that was terrifying.
Remembering how close the family had come to ruin, they were filled with both shame and dread when facing John.
Since Alfred had gone to the Redman family, John didn't linger. After briefly visiting Adam in the backyard, he headed straight there.
His labor-saving divine weapon was still with the Redmans.
When John arrived, Alfred immediately dropped to his knees and kowtowed several times.
John couldn't stop him. All he could do was scold, "You old man—you really can't change your stubborn ways."
"Heh, thank you for the compliment, Mr. Lopez," Alfred replied sheepishly.
Zoey, too, wore a complicated expression.
He had known John was powerful—but not this powerful.
Even the Eastern Martial Arts League had been forced to compromise.
Could he be the son of some major figure in the Houston Martial Arts League?
That was the theory Zoey and Alfred had come up with after hours of speculation.
Zoey asked, "Doctor Lopez, why don't you come with us to the State of New York?"
He and Alfred were planning to head there—Zoey to seek acupuncture from Tracy, and Alfred to search for his daughter, Marcia.
Having John along would be ideal.
But John shook his head. "Forget it. You two are too slow."
"By the time you reach New York, I'll have already taken a nap."
Then, picking up his treasured weapon, he left the Redman family behind.
