Chapter 219 - 219: Queenie Refuses to Back Down!

When they returned to the State of New York, John received some exciting news from Queenie—his mysterious fifth sister, Angela, would be coming back in a few days.

"How did she react when she found out I was alive? Was she super excited?" John asked expectantly.

Back when Bertha had accidentally leaked the news in the sisters' group chat that John was still alive, the reaction had been explosive. His sisters had all been thrilled. Kate, the fourth sister, had even dropped her work and flown back from abroad to see him.

Sixth sister, Anita, had been too swamped with her own responsibilities to return, but even she had been enthusiastic.

But fifth sister... Angela?

Totally silent.

She hadn't said a single word in the group chat that day.

John had always hoped she just didn't see the message. Otherwise, how could she possibly have stayed so quiet?

Queenie looked at him with a strange expression and asked, "John, do you really want to know how excited Fifth Sister was?"

"How excited?" John leaned in.

"She replied with one word."

"One word?" John blinked in confusion. "Which word?"

"'Okay.'"

"...Okay?"

"Yep. That's all she said. Wasn't it a surprise?"

"A surprise?!" John looked like he'd been punched in the gut. "I missed her so much, and she only said 'Okay' when she found out I was alive?!"

He felt so wronged.

Queenie, thoroughly enjoying his misery, gloated, "Now do you see how good I am to you? Not all your sisters spoil you like I do!"

"Yes, yes, Queenie's the best," John said quickly. "To repay your kindness, I've decided to help you with your cultivation."

"You want to die?"

Queenie's face instantly turned cold. She flipped him onto the sofa, grabbed his ear, and threatened,

"If you ever mention that 'cultivation aiding' crap again, I'll twist your ear right off!"

"Sis! Didn't you say you loved me most?" John cried. "I think Second Sister is the best—she's gentle and kind. And most importantly—she never twists my ears!"

"You calling me not gentle enough?" Queenie narrowed her eyes. "Say it again, I dare you."

"Do I even need to?" John huffed. "My ears are already half-detached. That should say it all."

The mighty King of Horizon would never yield to tyranny—but this was Queenie.

"Still not saying it?" she asked menacingly.

Then she sat directly on his waist, grabbed both ears, and yanked him upward with full force.

John's upper body twisted nearly forty degrees.

Let's not forget—Queenie was now a cultivator too. Even though her level wasn't high yet, she was far stronger than before.

"Alright, alright!" John cried, slapping the sofa. "Queenie, my beautiful Queenie! I surrender!"

"You're the gentlest, kindest, most angelic sister I have!"

Though in his heart, he muttered, Yeah right. That title still belongs to Tracy...

"Hmph."

Queenie let him go with a snort.

Just then, her phone rang. It was Marcia.

After hanging up, Queenie's eyes twinkled mischievously.

"John, guess what? My mom thinks you're the son of some bigshot from the Houston Martial Arts League. Ha!"

Apparently, Alfred and the others had arrived in New York and shared what happened in Chicago with Marcia.

John stared at Queenie thoughtfully. "Aren't you surprised?"

You'd think someone would be shocked that he returned unharmed after basically turning the Eastern Martial Arts League upside down. But Queenie didn't look surprised at all.

Which made John suspect... she already knew.

Queenie's expression froze for a moment, then she dramatically widened her eyes, covering her lips with her hand like a cartoon character.

"Oh my gosh, Little John! You're so amazing! How did you manage all that?!"

Her acting was so bad it was painful.

That night.

Alice entered John's room, grabbed him off the bed, and blinked her long, narrow eyes.

"Come on, little bastard. Help me with my cultivation. I can't let Eldest Sister outpace me."

Last time, in the River apartment, John had provoked Alice. To calm her down, he'd promised to help with her cultivation whenever she asked.

And a man never breaks his promise.

So, in a show of ultimate sincerity, John walked right up and tore off her clothes, revealing her snow-white figure.

Only a thin lace slip remained, hugging her trembling curves.

Was this sincere enough?

Alice blushed furiously. It was the first time she'd seen John so... direct.

After their cultivation, John scooped up the panting Alice in his arms and carried her into the bathroom.

The problem was...

Queenie saw everything.

Her face turned to ice, like a sudden blizzard sweeping across a summer meadow.

Oh? So you two have the guts to do that in front of me, huh?

She was furious.

Without hesitation, she marched into the bathroom, her long legs moving like a warrior goddess. She grabbed John by the arm and yanked him out.

"Bastard," she said coldly. "I'm challenging you right now. I believe my willpower can overcome any aftereffects from your 'cultivation aiding.'"

John froze.

Then his expression turned... odd.

Did she just ask him to help her cultivate?

"Queenie," he said slowly. "When I offered to help you earlier, you threatened to beat me up. Now I don't say a word, and you want to fight me? What are you even thinking?"

"Hmph! Don't try to guess what a beautiful woman's thinking. Just answer me—do you dare accept the challenge or not?!"

"Oh, it's a challenge, is it?"

John's eyes gleamed.

He wasn't one to back down.

Fifteen minutes later, Queenie was hoisted over his shoulder and tossed straight into the bathroom, just like Bertha before her.

Let's see if you still dare to challenge me again!
