Chapter 164: Chapter 164: Reluctantly Forgiven

The next day at the dining table, Holly looked completely downcast, not even glancing at Leo and focusing solely on eating from her own bowl.

"What’s wrong, still angry?"

Leo looked at Holly’s gloomy demeanor, touched his nose, and felt it was somewhat amusing.

She’s just too adorable, he thought, finding her extremely cute.

Holly continued eating by herself, showing no intention of acknowledging Leo.

"Here."

Leo suddenly took a designer bag from the table, placed it atop it, and gazed at Holly with a gentle expression.

Holly glanced up, casually looked at Leo, and then resumed eating.

In truth, she was quite curious about the contents of the bag, but she didn’t want to show it.

"Don’t want it?"

Leo looked at Holly, a faint smile at his lips.

Holly said nothing.

She was still in a state of anger, and she couldn’t give in so easily; otherwise, she would lose face.

Leo opened the bag and took out the items one by one, which turned out to be snacks with the irresistible white peach oolong flavor that Holly couldn’t resist.

Holly’s eyes couldn’t help but drift towards the things on the table.

"These are all your favorites. Don’t be mad, okay?"

Leo softened his tone, looking at Holly with tender eyes. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Hmph, you don’t respect me at all."

Holly crossed her arms, gently biting her lip as she spoke slowly.

"In what way am I disrespectful?"

Leo raised an eyebrow, gazing at Holly with a playful smile.

Holly said nothing, thinking of Leo’s kiss and words from yesterday, making her face feel hot, as if on fire.

"Holly said eating candy can heal the mood, so I’m inviting you to have candy now. Don’t be angry, okay?"

Leo took out a white peach oolong flavored lollipop from his pocket, peeled off the wrapper, and offered it to Holly.

The girl was upset, so he had to soothe her properly.

"Fine then, I’ll reluctantly forgive you."

Holly’s tone was particularly arrogant as she took the lollipop and put it straight into her mouth.

Even anger needs a limit, especially since she wasn’t genuinely mad.

Leo: "Alright."

After breakfast, Leo went off to attend to his own affairs, while Holly tidied up and prepared to head out.

"Are you going out?"

Walking to the nearby bus station, Holly encountered Stella Jacobs coming over and greeting her.

Sarah Grant was linked arm-in-arm with Stella, the two of them chatting as they walked, visibly enjoying a close bond.

"Mm."

Holly shrank her neck into her scarf, speaking with a muted tone.

The weather was truly cold, making her dress like a dumpling, while Stella and Sarah wore noticeably less.

The seasons seemed mismatched.

Sarah silently glanced at Holly with an unfriendly gaze.

"Is Leo not accompanying you?"

Stella’s tone remained gentle as she saw Holly alone, showing concern by asking.

Noticing Holly’s thick attire, Stella understood Holly was quite afraid of the cold.

Holly replied, "He’s busy."

She wasn’t staying at the Grant Family’s old estate but at Leo’s property in the city, conveniently located near large malls and snack streets, and with accessible transportation.

Sarah and Stella appeared to be casually shopping in the vicinity.

"Where are you heading, want me to give you a lift?"

Stella looked at Holly, asking.

Evidently, Holly was waiting for a bus at the station, and in such cold weather, Holly as a girl would suffer from the chill.

"No need."

Holly glanced at her phone.

"My sister Stella has a car and already passed the driving test, giving you a lift would be an honor."

Sarah grumbled discontentedly, casting Holly a sidelong glance.

Growing up with Stella as peers, Sarah was particularly fond of Stella, considering her like a sibling.

Moreover, knowing Stella fancied her brother, she strongly supported Stella becoming her sister-in-law.

Regarding Holly, the newcomer, it was natural for her to be displeased.

Holly shot Sarah a cool glance, stashing her hands in her pockets, "I have a driving license too, and I’m not lacking a car."

She just didn’t enjoy driving; back when she raced cars, she didn’t even know where Sarah was lurking.

"Sarah, speak properly."

Stella patted Sarah’s hand, shaking her head gently.

She understood Sarah was speaking on her behalf, but she didn’t need it; there was no notion of contention in her mind.

Because it wasn’t necessary.

Leo not liking her was Leo’s business, and had nothing to do with others.

If it weren’t Holly, it would be someone else. Stella was clear about this in her heart, viewing it calmly.

Sarah frowned: "Stella."

Stella shook her head at her, making Sarah stay silent.

"It’s freezing, you’ll get cold alone as a girl, let me give you a lift."

"Besides, you aren’t very familiar with Arkenfall, right? Easy to get lost."

Stella’s tone was gentle, truly wishing to offer Holly a ride.

She quite liked Holly as a person.

Holly had been brought over from Bexley by Leo, so Stella assumed Holly grew up in Bexley, thinking she wasn’t familiar with Arkenfall.

"No need, someone’s picking me up, I’m quite familiar with Arkenfall."

Holly glanced at her phone, speaking slowly.

The people from The Pantheon were about to arrive.

Just as Holly finished speaking, a black car stopped in front of her. Despite not recognizing the brand, it was evidently not a cheap commodity.

"Boss."

The car window rolled down, revealing a face that drew attention, Ian Wright wearing sunglasses. His earlobes adorned with silver studs, as flaunting as his name.

Holly: "..."

Holly raised her eyes and glanced at Ian, mentally wondering why this fool was sent to pick her up.

"Boss, it’s cold outside, hurry and get in."

Ian got out of the car, opened the rear door for Holly, urging her.

They all knew Holly feared the cold, consequently worrying about her suffering from it.

"Why did you come?"

Holly remained still, fixing her gaze on Ian.

"Ah, Boss, you should feel happy I’m here to pick you up, why do you despise me so much, am I not good enough?"

Ian suddenly clutched his chest dramatically, wearing a wounded expression, his acting overly exaggerated.

"Get lost."

Holly kicked Ian and got into the car.

Sarah stared wide-eyed at Holly, unable to hold back her curiosity, "What’s your relationship?"

"She’s my boss, you got a problem?"

Before Holly could respond, Ian replied.

Known as an ultimate drama king, his poor acting skills combined with a mouth that criticized everything made people keep their distance.

He could argue until you questioned life; conversely, he could flatter you to the point of questioning life.
