The Soul System in the Apocalypse-Chapter 46: Is This Car Real?

Back at the port, after seeing the number of luxurious yachts that had docked here, killing intent flashed in Henry’s eyes. At this moment, he had already come to a realization that, for these luxurious yachts to be present here, there had to be the owner of the facility, or someone related to him/her.

Since there was still 24 hours, Henry decided that he was going to deal with this group of people first. Of course, that was in case there were survivors.

He turned around and said, "We are going back to the facility." He didn’t bother to explain anything as he believed that both Adam and Sarah could already tell what he was thinking.

Adam immediately followed Henry, as his eyes shone with viciousness. He was already thinking about how he was going to torture someone, who had completely denied him his freedom, and had completely ruined his youth.

After getting inside the car, Henry immediately drove off. This time, he had decided to drive the car at the maximum speed. Due to the improvements that the car had gotten, even though it was true that the maximum speed limit had not been increased, it was now easier for it to transverse on the road.

As he observed the trees flashing behind him at a fast speed, anger had already begun building in his heart. At this moment, he was ready to show his dark side.

They had just gotten out of the facility, and they hadn’t gone far, when all of a sudden, Henry stopped the car. He had noticed that there was another car that was heading towards the port. And, he had already seen that inside the car, Olivia was present.

Although he was surprised that she had gone looking for them, he still decided to go back with her. That was of course something that depended on her choice. If she decided not to go with him, then he was going to abandon her.

After leaving the facility, Olivia had been driving the car at its maximum speed. But, she had not been able to see even the taillights of the car that Henry was driving.

For that reason, she had gotten surprised. And other than that, she had gotten curious about the car that he was driving. So, she sped up even more.

But, it seemed that the car had been affected somehow. And for that reason, after it had gone for only about 2 km, it had slowed down.

Had it not been for the fact that driving the car was still faster than running, and it would save a lot of her energy, she would have definitely got out of the car and run by herself.

After a ’long’ period of driving, she saw the visage of a construction appearing in front of her. At this moment, hope began appearing in her eyes, as she thought that she was going to meet with Henry and more specifically, Sarah.

But in the next moment, she suddenly heard the sound of something approaching. And in the next moment, with a whoosh, something flashed past her at an incredible speed. It was almost difficult for her to know what it was.

Slamming the brakes of the car, she managed to stop. Looking behind, she saw that there was a blood red car that had stopped. Then, it began reversing before finally stopping not far away from her car.

After that, she was surprised that Sarah came out of the car. At that moment, she began questioning herself whether she was hallucinating or something.

After all, from her memories, wasn’t the car that Henry and his group had left in was white. But now she was coming out in a red one? Could it be that there was another car that was of the same level and style as the one that Henry and the group had left in?

Olivia didn’t even begin thinking about Henry and the group changing the color of the car. Not to mention where they were going to get the color, it was going to take some time for the color to dry up.

Just as Olivia was still thinking, trying to understand what was going on, Sarah knocked on the window of the door.

Coming back to her senses, Olivia immediately rolled down the window.

"Where are you going?" Sarah asked.

"I was obviously following you guys. There is no way that I can trust you with that guy." Olivia replied.

Sarah could only shake her head. She knew that it was difficult to convince Olivia that Henry wasn’t that bad.

"The car that you are in is quite slow. And, we are heading back to the facility to deal with something. Henry has agreed to have you on board, are you coming?" Sarah decided not to talk about the matter, and went ahead with what had brought her over.

Olivia frowned when she heard that. "What matter are you going to deal with?" She asked.

"Although we are not sure about it, I guess that the owner of the facility or their accomplices are present in the facility. Henry wants to deal with them." Sarah replied honestly.

When Olivia heard that, she was surprised. She had never expected that something like that was going on. And to say the least, the person that she hated the most was definitely the owner of the facility.

After all, without that person, she would not have been abducted and brought here, where she didn’t have a choice but to work for someone else.

"Alright, get inside. We are going. I will have to make that person pay." Olivia spoke viciously.

Sarah blinked her eyes as she looked at Olivia with a strange gaze. In the next moment, she said, "I had come over to invite you into the car. Your car is too slow, we are going to take a long period of time to be able to reach our destination."

They had already spent a lot of time at the port, but it was only at this moment that Olivia was about to arrive at the port. That implied that, it was either Olivia who was driving slowly, of the car that she was in was too slow.

But all the same, the car was just slow. And if the two of them decided to follow them at such a slow speed, it was obvious that they might only reach the facility after Henry had already dealt with everything.

"So what if my car is slow? As long as we can get at our destination, everything else doesn’t matter." Olivia retorted.

"But, if we move at such a slow speed, what if we get there after Henry has already dealt with that group? From the way he looks, he is really angered, and he definitely won’t spare any one of them for you." Sarah responded.

When Olivia heard that, she immediately came back to her senses. Although it was true that it didn’t matter if they arrived late, the problem was that, she wasn’t going to be given a chance to deal with the people who were behind the facility.

Just thinking of that fact, she found it unacceptable. Although it was true that she also didn’t like Henry, she didn’t have any choice now.

Reluctantly, she could only get out of the car, and walk towards the upgraded Jeep. After that, she opened the door and got inside, before Sarah followed behind.

Adam was sitting in the co-driver seat, so, the backseats of the car were only occupied by Sarah.

After the two ladies got into the car, Henry didn’t say anything, and began driving. He wanted to deal with the matter as soon as possible, as, by 00:00 hours, the real apocalypse was going to begin.

At that time, if possible, he wanted to be out of this island. And if not, he wanted to be able to make enough preparations to deal with the apocalypse.

Olivia on the other hand was completely stunned after she got into the car. At this point, she thought that she had gotten inside a sci-fi movie. After all, she had never seen a car that was as improved as the one that she was in.

"Is this a real car?" Olivia subconsciously asked.

"Hehe, it is." Finding the situation funny, Sarah giggled. It was very rare for her to get a chance to tease Olivia. Ultimately, she was a person with a cold personality. Even though it was true that she was slightly warm to her, that personality of hers had always been maintained, either consciously or subconsciously.

It was only after she had asked, that Olivia came to her senses, realizing that she had asked a dumb question. When she noticed that Sarah was giggling at the side, she glared at her, forcing her to shut up.

But still, she was completely curious about this vehicle. "Where did you get this car from? And where did you leave the other one?" She had noticed that this car did not have a registration number plate. Otherwise, she would have definitely noticed that it was the previous one.

Additionally, she was impressed by the incredible speed that the car possessed. No wonder she could not catch up to it even after driving at the fastest possible speed of the car that she was in.

"This is a secret. This car was formed by Henry’s ability. He was able to transform a normal Jeep, to this advanced one." Sarah replied in a low voice.

Although she would have wanted to keep it as a secret, she didn’t have the heart to lie to her sister. At the same time, she didn’t think that it was that bad, considering that Henry didn’t prohibit her from telling anyone about it.

Olivia blinked her eyes, as if she could not believe what Sarah had said. "Are you serious?"

"Yes. When have I ever lied to you?" Sarah nodded her head, as she replied.

In the end, Olivia turned her gaze and looked at Henry who was busy driving. From how familiar he was with the functions of the car, it was obvious that this was not the first time that he had come into contact with this car.

At the same time, she began wondering about the mystery that was surrounding Henry. It was not just about the fact that he was good at swordsmanship, he was also a mage, and surprisingly a summoner.

At this moment, she had already begun thinking of ways that she could utilize to reveal all the mysteries that were hiding. After all, she didn’t like the feeling of being kept in the dark.

Henry didn’t reduce the speed of the car at all. As he drove, he was just thinking about what kind of punishment he was supposed to give the owner of the facility. To him, it had to be the most cruel one.

After they arrived at the entrance of the facility, the car automatically changed into off-road mode. And when they got inside, Henry was surprised by what he saw.
