The Soul System in the Apocalypse-Chapter 47: Cruel Fate

When the group arrived in front of the facility’s entrance, they were surprised to find out that, the group that they had left behind had disappeared.

Well, although that was the term that Henry wanted to use, but, the presence of the corpses on the ground was enough evidence to tell them otherwise.

The group that they had left behind had been cleared out. And from the amount of blood that had been spilled on the ground, it was obvious that they had been killed mercilessly.

After Henry drove the car into the facility, the group alighted from the car, as they looked around. At this moment, Henry had already begun wondering what could have gone wrong during the time that they had left.

Looking at the horrified expressions on the bodies on the ground, it was obvious that what killed them completely scared them out of their wits.

But, Henry couldn’t understand what it was that could scare a person that had already faced several monsters in the apocalypse period.

Olivia’s body had already begun shaking, as she began looking around, trying to find if there was any trace of the person who had committed all of this.

Even though it was true that the ladies that she was leading were not her blood sisters, they were the ones that had welcomed her, and had treated her well. And for that reason, she had vowed to make sure that they would be out of here safely.

But, it was not even long after she had left, just to follow Henry to make sure that Sarah was safe, that the group that she left behind was completely massacred.

The air around her had already begun freezing. Unlike Henry who didn’t have that much of attachment to the group, she was completely angry for losing those people that she somehow cared for.

Henry had a frown on his face. Had it been just that they had been killed, then, he wouldn’t have said anything about it. After all, this was the apocalypse, and deaths were bound to be more than what they had already seen.

Just from looking at their condition, it was already clear as to what had happened here.

But there was one thing that he noticed. That was the fact that, the number of bodies of the ladies present didn’t count to the maximum. Instead of six, there were only three of them.

That implied that, three of them had managed to escape, or they have taken away by the person or creature who attacked.

In contrast, the male youths that Henry had left behind had all died. They had died a cruel death, some of them having their heads cut from their bodies, while others having been torn into pieces.

The wafting smell of blood was enough to express the severe and gloomy mood at that moment.

Henry didn’t say another word, and instead, went back into the car. He had decided to finally utilize the abilities of the upgraded Jeep.

The Jeep currently possessed advanced detection function. And, the range of the detection function had already reached 1 km radius.

Instead of mindlessly searching for the perpetrator, or the three missing people, Henry thought that it was way better by utilizing the car.

On the holographic screen in front of him, several choices of the functions of the Jeep appeared. Without any thought, he immediately pressed on the advanced detection function.

And the moment that he did that, a map appeared on the holographic screen. The map showed the location that they were in, and it was within the 1 km radius, showing nothing else other than the things present within the range of the detection. After that, a blue dot appeared, showing where they were currently.

Thereafter, signals in the form of waves began spreading out from the blue dot as the center. And not long after, several other dots began appearing.

All of these dots were red in color. Although this was the color that was supposed to indicate the hostile forces, since they had not met before, it was obvious that they could not be said to be either hostile or not hostile.

For that reason, the detection function of the car was treating them as potential hostile forces.

Henry squinted his eyes as he stared at the map in front of him. On it, he could already see that there was an area within the facility, and it was not far from here, where there was a very large group of dots.

And it was only after Henry focused on that spot, that he suddenly noticed that there were two green dots. At that moment, they were blinking in and out of existence, as if they were going to disappear in the next moment.

Popping his head out of the car’s window, he said to the group that was still waiting outside, "Get in the car. I have already found their location."

Adam and Sarah immediately got into the car. As for Olivia, she continued staring at the corpses of the girls that had already passed away. At that moment, she could remember clearly how not long ago they were together.

But after the apocalypse descended, they had begun dying one after the other. Although it was something that she wasn’t happy about, she thought that it was way better if they died under the claws of the wild animals, than the death that they had experienced.

But, from the traces that had been left behind, it was obvious that the massacre that had happened here was caused by human beings. And for that reason, Olivia vowed to herself that she will make them pay.

She got into the car silently. Since it was Henry who knew about the location, and his group had also suffered, although a way lighter fate than her group, she believed that he was planning to take his revenge.

Without saying anything else, Henry immediately began driving towards the direction that he had seen a large group of dots. This group of dots was at the very edge of the 1 km radius of the detection.

Henry thought that it was way better if they traveled inside the car, considering that it had advanced defense system, as well as the ability to detect if there was anybody that was aiming to attack them.

While Henry and his group had already began making their moves, there was another congregation of people that was about 1 km away from the entrance of the facility.

Here, all those investors were laughing with each other as they ate and drunk. They had already gotten out of the basement, and they were happy to feel secure once again.

Every one of them was entertaining themselves in one way or another. And, in a certain room, there was a group of men that were indulging themselves in body pleasure.

And, the victims of their pleasure were two girls. They had already gotten their hands tied, their clothes already torn into pieces, revealing their naked bodies.

On their faces, there were several stains of tears, but they had already tried up. Their eyes had already lost their light, as it was obvious that they had already given up.

The men in the room didn’t care about that, and they continued enjoying themselves continuing to make the ladies suffer even more.

At the corner of the room, there was yet another body. This was the body of another lady who had already died. Just like the other two, she didn’t have any piece of clothing on her.

Nonetheless, over 10 men present in the room they didn’t care about that. They continued laughing with each other, making jokes as they took turns.

Inside an office, Chris was looking at his assistant with the satisfied expression in his face. "I guess project 3102 can be considered halfway successful."

The assistant nodded his head, but there was horror in his eyes. If possible, he really wanted to get out of here. But, considering that he knew a lot of secrets, he knew that there was no way that he was going to get out of this place.

"Though, I didn’t expect this kind of damage to be dealt on this facility. And, I am kind of wondering how it was possible for these small children to possess such capabilities." Chris said as he began thinking.

Not long ago, they had activated project 3102, and decided to clear out the monsters that were present in the facility. And in the process of clearing out the monsters, they suddenly realized that there were no monsters for them to kill.

For that reason, Chris led his group to look around the facility. And that was when he came to find that there was a group of people that he had kidnapped to come and work for him, which had managed to survive.

And what’s more, he came to find out that they had managed to kill a large number of monsters. As for how they did that, he was still wondering, when they suddenly decided to attack him.

But lucky for him, project 3102 was already halfway through to success. And for that reason, he was easily able to deal with the group of young men. As for the young ladies, he Immediately thought about the guests that he was entertaining, and decided to hand them over.

As for the destruction that had happened there, he didn’t even think much about it. Considering that the wild animals had gone wild, there was bound to be a lot of damage that was supposed to occur.

"Now, all that I have to look for, is the means to deal with how to control them fully..." Chris was about to continue with his muttering when he was interrupted.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A huge explosion echoed from outside, completely startling him. He couldn’t help but wonder, "Don’t tell me the monsters have decided to attack again..." As he said those words, he immediately got to his feet and rushed out of the office.
