Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Ragdoll Mall

"The training went very well, let's call it a day for now, as I have an interview this afternoon." After saying that, David Jones picked up the exhausted Rainbow, took a minor ice Arcane Crystal from his pocket and fed it to her.

After feeding Rainbow, David continuously massaged her body with his right hand, relieving her fatigue while also using Dragon Force to reward her for completing the training.

Rainbow, with a satisfied look on her face, enjoyed the comfortable feeling of the Dragon Force cleansing her body. Her body naturally emitted a faint light, and her figure gradually grew larger in the glow.

Seeing this, David stopped in surprise, his eyes filled with delight as he watched Rainbow's Strength Level rise from Fresh Level IX to Fresh Level X.

Rainbow's promotion speed was indeed beyond David's imagination!

"It leveled up twice in one morning, this Dragon Force is a bit too powerful. But why does Dragon Force only increase Goldy's size but not her strength? Goldy's Strength Level has been stuck at Fresh Level II." Confusion flashed in David's eyes.

"Looks like the data on Goldy's Dragon Force enhancement experiment isn't accurate enough. Judging from Rainbow's situation, using Dragon Force multiple times in two days, combined with training and fighting can quickly raise the Strength Level during Fresh period."

Once the light from Rainbow's transformation dissipated, David quickly made a record of today's Dragon Force experiment and skill training in his notes with a ballpoint pen.

"Yiyi, yaya!"ヽ(???)?(???)?

Rainbow held her head high and excitedly wriggled her body in David's arms, her tiny tail wagging adorably.

David's face broke into a hearty smile, cradling the restless Rainbow who had just leveled up.

Considering Rainbow's significant training achievements this morning, if it weren't for the afternoon interview, David would've been reluctant to leave the icy training ground.

"John, it's noon, how about we have a meal first, my treat," managing his excitement from the increased Strength Level, David pacified Rainbow, put her into the Star Ring and walked to the edge of the lake to speak with John Hornby.

"Sure, I'm hungry too." John agreed, eagerly looking forward to the meal.

After having lunch, David suddenly remembered he hadn't prepared for the interview and said, "John, I have an interview this afternoon, so I've gotta go. If anything comes up, message me on Q Chat."

"Alright, good luck with your interview." John encouraged him without turning his head back.

...

Ragdoll Mall is a famous comprehensive shopping mall in Waterland City, offering a wide variety of goods.

Whether it's young pets or pet resources, they are abundant. The most famous pet in the mall is the Titanium Ragdoll.

Ragdoll Mall even holds a small pet battle competition in the Rivergate District every two years to promote their special pet, the Titanium Ragdoll, also known as the Ragdoll Cup.

At 14:40, David took a bus to the Rivergate Shopping Centre, where the Ragdoll Mall was located amidst the bustling commercial buildings.

Standing in front of the luxurious building, David looked up at the titanium plaque above the entrance that read "Ragdoll Mall" in golden lettering.

"No wonder it's a big company, using titanium to make the plaque, they really are ostentatious."

Ragdoll Mall was in Building A1, and the interview location was in Building A2. After checking the location of the interview venue a few times, David entered Building A2, right next to Ragdoll Mall.

After registering his information with the smiling receptionist at the lobby, David followed her instructions and went straight to the elevator, ready to head to the 9th floor for the interview.

As he pressed the up button, the elevator arrived on the 1st floor. Just as the elevator door was slowly opening, a white figure suddenly darted out of it.

"Shirley, stop running!" A crisp and gentle girl's voice came from inside the elevator. f(r)eenovelkiss.com

Before he could think more about it, he saw the white figure approaching. David Jones instinctively reached out and grabbed it. The thing in his hand felt like a soft, fluffy plush toy that was also warm.

"Hiss!" A low growl sounded, as if it was issuing a warning.

David looked closely at what he was holding. It was a pure white cat, completely covered in fluffy fur and with a soft body.

There was a necklace around its neck that shimmered with light from time to time. The cat's blue eyes were slightly upturned, appearing somewhat pitiful as it stared at him.

"Wow, a Titanium Ragdoll." David was secretly amazed, as he really liked this gentle and cute pet!

A girl with a light yellow hat, wearing a light green dress, and naturally curly black hair walked quickly towards David from the elevator.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... this is my pet. Can you please give it to me?" The girl, dressed in a fresh and stylish outfit, was blushing faintly and feeling embarrassed as she spoke to David.

"Thank you for catching Shirley." After shyly taking the cat from him, the girl hugged the cat and straightened her chest as she bowed slightly in gratitude.

"It was nothing. I've got some business to attend to, so I'll be going now." Seeing the elevator doors about to close, and having no interest in continuing the conversation after the Ragdoll was taken by its owner, David quickly stepped forward and pressed the elevator button to go upstairs.

Although he loved the Titanium Ragdoll, he knew that if he wasted any more time, he might be late for his interview today.

Watching David walk away, the girl scolded the cat with some embarrassment and anger, "Shirley, it's all your fault. What's the hurry? The Arcane Crystal won't disappear."

"Meow!" Shirley seemed to realize her mistake and meowed softly.

"Sigh, you're always like this. There's nothing I can do about you." Rebecca Louise rubbed Shirley's head vigorously and sighed.

"Huh?" After raising her head, Rebecca noticed the elevator had been on the 9th floor for quite some time and was surprised to snap out of her daze.

"Could that handsome guy just now be here for an interview at the mall?" Rebecca shook her head forcefully. Never mind, she'll thank him formally next time they meet if destiny brings them together.

Afterwards, she hurriedly left the building with Shirley in her arms. Clearly, she had urgent matters to deal with.

...

"Ding, Level IX has arrived," David listened to the cold prompt and stepped out of the elevator.

Hurried footsteps echoed on the clean and bright floor. In front of him was an empty, spacious corridor. David glanced at his phone - there were five minutes left until his interview.

He let out a breath, calming his nerves a bit, then followed the guidance on the corridor walls and arrived at a luxurious office.

David rang the doorbell, and a young, beautiful lady in a silky, flower-patterned blouse and white short skirt approached.

With a professional smile on her cheeks and gesturing with her hand, she said, "You must be Mr. Jones, here for the Identifier interview for the mall. We've been expecting you. Please come this way."

Following her lead, David entered a spacious reception room.

"Please wait a moment, CEO Louise will be here shortly."

"Alright."

After politely responding, David sat in the chair, curiously examining the office's decorations.

A clear push of the door was heard from behind the magnificent door, and a figure with elegant manners entered and sat down, clean and sharp, under David's gaze.
