Maya Monroe rubbed her eyes slightly. She didn’t feel anything before, but now that she was in a warm, enclosed environment, fatigue began to take over.
Thinking carefully, it had been a long time since she had had a good sleep.
She wondered if it was because life had been too good recently. Although she could fall asleep in the wild, it always felt uncomfortable.
"Turn off the sound system."
Ian Rowe looked down at her again, with a touch of gentleness in his eyes: "Take a nap."
Maya had been away from home for so long, and it was said that the conditions for her to join the show were extremely harsh...
Ian’s gaze shifted to Maya’s face. She had already closed her eyes, and even though there were no dark circles, there was an unwavering fatigue between her brows.
His heart was slightly moved, feeling a bit uneasy inside.
The opportunity to get Maya onto this variety show—was it right or wrong...
He never doubted or regretted the choices he made, because after-the-fact amendments were pointless.
But now, he was rarely pondering whether it was right for Maya to join the variety show...
Vincent Summers obediently turned off the sound system, exhaling a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Maya was tired; if she was energetic, who knows how she might critique him. Ian always had Maya’s back, and in the end, he’d be the only one to suffer.

After Miles Wallace returned to Kyston, he immediately rushed to the meeting site with other members without any rest.
Claire Brooks always enjoyed being hands-on, organizing all sorts of activities for FREE by herself.
Miles leaned back in his chair, half asleep, not in a good state of mind. His lips were a bit pale, and his dazzling light blonde hair seemed to be covered with a layer of dullness.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes; his beautiful eyes were like sapphires: "Are we almost there?"
James Wallace sat beside him, his expression slightly worried: "Bro, you haven’t slept well for days. It was nerve-racking watching you the whole way. There’s still time, so you should sleep for a bit, and I’ll wake you when we arrive."
Miles didn’t close his eyes, feeling as though his mind was a taut string that might snap at the slightest touch.
These were all because of sleep deprivation.
He wasn’t that fragile, but he had an old habit—he’s particular about where he sleeps. He couldn’t sleep in unfamiliar places, let alone spending a night on the grassland.
Claire said, "This schedule is a bit rushed; once you arrive, change directly into the performance costumes."
She turned to Miles: "I didn’t want to disturb you while you were sleeping, but I must remind you, please take care of your safety, this session was really dangerous. That Justin Morgan is not a good person; keep your distance in the future. Even though we negotiated with the show crew, you still have to be cautious. Learn from your mistakes, and don’t do such foolish things again. Safety is the most important."
There was one more thing she wanted to mention: to encourage Miles to be more visible on camera.
But seeing his somewhat fatigued appearance, she knew it wasn’t right to pressure him all at once.
Julian Caldwell sighed, "I watched the replay, and it really scared me for Miles... Thank goodness it’s fine. Thanks to Maya Monroe’s intervention, she’s indeed a great person; she saved Miles..."
Julian’s tone unconsciously rose. Originally, he admired Maya for her appearance and style, but knowing of her heroic deeds added a secret admiration to his heart.
James opened his mouth but said nothing.
He didn’t like Maya, thinking she often acted foolishly. However, he couldn’t deny that Maya indeed saved Miles’s life, which was irrefutable.
Miles raised his aloof eyes and glanced lightly at Julian.
Claire sighed, "My judgment was wrong before. Maya isn’t as bad as the rumors say, but..."
Her gaze shifted to Miles, with a hint of sternness: "However, you should still keep your distance. Be clear about your own image and don’t give the gossip channels opportunities to lead the narrative. I know you’re grateful, but many things shouldn’t be directly shown in public."
"You don’t need to worry about Maya saving you. I will thank her personally, but you should still maintain your distance from her. Whether before or after the live broadcast, you know how powerful the paparazzi are at fabricating rumors."
Claire had been following the developments in the variety show closely. She noticed the change in Miles’s attitude towards Maya. But that should be the limit of his attitude; it’s inappropriate to go any further, not even a bit.
Miles lowered his eyes, his voice faint and emotionless: "Am I not even in control of my own freedom?"
Claire’s gaze paused and then looked straight at him: "I know you’ve always valued freedom, but you don’t realize how malicious people can be. They will imagine the worst and would love nothing more than to drag you down into the sewer, never to rise again!"
"You need to know what path you’re on. To avoid unnecessary rumors, it’s best to keep your distance from female artists, especially those youthful and beautiful. When have I ever stopped you from chatting with veteran actors or speaking to five or six-year-old girls?"
Miles closed his eyes again without answering, not sure if he was listening.
James frowned. He had the best private relationship with Miles and was the one who liked and protected this brother the most.
"Sister Claire, bro seems a bit tired. The upcoming meeting won’t be easy; let him rest well! We can talk about anything later!"
Julian also chimed in, "Miles has been through a lot these days; let him have a good rest!"
Claire indeed stopped speaking, but her gaze lingered on Miles, contemplating something.
After the meeting ended, the five members of the boy band FREE went to the changing room to switch outfits. The youthful, vigorous aura from their tall and slender figures couldn’t be concealed, forming a beautiful scenery.
Julian walked beside Miles, quickening his pace.
"Miles, are you feeling better now? I just noticed your steps were a bit unsteady."
"I’ll be fine after some sleep."
Julian nodded, tentatively asking, "Miles, I heard you got Maya Monroe’s contact information, right?"
Actually, it wasn’t hearsay; he saw it during a live broadcast, using a small account to avoid unnecessary trouble.
He tracked all the shows Maya participated in, fully showing off his "fanboy" demeanor.
Miles paused for a moment, his beautiful eyes shimmering like precious gems under the splendid light: "Yeah..."
