The Twisted Obsession-Chapter 335: Disappear
Chapter 335: Disappear
Tony had never been one for pleasantries, especially when it came to handling someone like Nicole. He stood in the doorway of her upscale apartment, arms crossed, his tall frame casting a shadow over her. Nicole, dressed in an expensive silk robe, eyed him warily. She hadn’t expected a visit from Remo’s right-hand man, and certainly not on Christmas Eve.
"Tony," she said, her voice wavering slightly, though she tried to mask it with a forced smile. "What a surprise. I wasn’t expecting company."
Tony didn’t bother with small talk. His expression was hard, his dark eyes sharp as they took in her casual demeanor. "We need to talk, Nicole."
She stepped back, motioning for him to come inside, but Tony shook his head. He had no interest in lingering here longer than necessary.
"No need," he said, his voice firm. "I’m here on behalf of Remo."
At the mention of Remo’s name, Nicole’s face brightened for a split second. Her obsession with him had always been obvious, and she was good at hiding it, but Tony could see through her. She had been a complication in Remo’s life for too long, and he had orders to deal with it.
"Remo sent you?" Nicole asked, trying to keep her tone casual, but the eager glint in her eyes betrayed her. "I haven’t heard from him in a while. What does he want?"
Tony stared at her, his jaw set. "He wants you gone. Away from Abby. Away from him. You’re not to show your face near either of them again."
Nicole’s smile faltered, and for a moment, she looked taken aback. "What? Why would Remo—"
"Don’t play dumb, Nicole," Tony interrupted, his voice hardening. "You’ve been hovering around for far too long, and we all know why. It’s over. Remo and Abby are together now, and they’re moving on with their lives. You’re not part of it."
Nicole’s eyes narrowed, a hint of defiance creeping into her expression. "You think you can just waltz in here and tell me to disappear like I’m some sort of problem to be swept under the rug?"
Tony didn’t flinch. He remained calm, his eyes boring into hers with an intensity that made her shift uncomfortably. "That’s exactly what I’m telling you. You’re a problem, Nicole. And you’re not going to be one anymore."
For a moment, Nicole looked as though she was about to argue, but then her expression shifted. She let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head. "Do you really think Abby is going to make Remo happy? After everything? After all that’s happened? You don’t know her like I do. She’s—"
"I know enough," Tony cut in. "And Remo knows enough too. Abby is his priority now. Not you."
Nicole’s face twisted with frustration. "Remo needs me. You don’t understand—what we had, what we—"
"What you had," Tony said coldly, "is in the past. Let it go, Nicole. You’re making this harder than it has to be."
Her hands clenched at her sides, and for a moment, it seemed like she might lash out. But then her gaze shifted, and her expression changed again. She suddenly looked calculating, as though she was weighing her options.
"What if I told you I knew who killed Abby’s father?" Nicole asked, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Would that change things? Would Remo want me gone then?"
Tony’s expression remained impassive. He didn’t blink, didn’t flinch. "It wouldn’t matter."
Nicole’s brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean it wouldn’t matter? You think Abby wouldn’t want to know? You think Remo wouldn’t want to know?"
"They’re not a threat anymore," Tony said, his voice steady. "The people responsible for Abby’s father’s death have no place in their lives now. Abby was never the target, and Remo knows that. They’re moving forward, and you should too."
Nicole stared at him, clearly not expecting that answer. Her lips parted slightly as though she was about to protest, but no words came out. She seemed to realize, in that moment, that nothing she could say would change the outcome.
"You’re done, Nicole," Tony said quietly, but firmly. "Don’t push this any further. Don’t make things worse for yourself."
There was a long, tense silence as Nicole stood there, processing his words. Tony didn’t move, didn’t break eye contact. He needed her to understand that this was the final warning. No second chances, no room for negotiation.
Finally, Nicole exhaled, her shoulders slumping slightly. She looked at him, the fight seemingly drained out of her.
"And if I don’t?" she asked quietly.
Tony took a step closer, his voice lowering. "Then I make sure you disappear. Permanently."
The coldness in his tone left no room for misunderstanding. Nicole’s eyes flickered with fear for a moment, and she quickly glanced away, realizing that Tony was not someone to test.
"Fine," she muttered, crossing her arms defensively. "I’ll leave. I won’t bother them again."
Tony nodded, satisfied with her response. "See that you don’t."
He turned to leave, but paused just before stepping out the door. Glancing back at her one last time, he added, "This is your last chance, Nicole. Don’t make me come back."
With that, he left, leaving Nicole standing in the doorway of her apartment, a mixture of anger, fear, and resignation clouding her expression.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Remo and Abby were curled up on the couch, enjoying the warmth of the fire and the peacefulness of the evening. Abby was resting her head on Remo’s shoulder, her eyes closed as she let the quiet lull her into a sense of comfort.
Remo, on the other hand, couldn’t fully relax. His mind was still spinning from the earlier encounter with Tony. He knew Nicole wouldn’t take the warning lightly, but part of him worried that she wouldn’t let things go. She had always been obsessed with him, and it had taken years to disentangle himself from her web.
He was just about to speak when his phone buzzed. Seeing Tony’s name on the screen, he answered.
"It’s done," Tony’s voice came through. "She won’t be bothering you or Abby again."
Remo exhaled, relief washing over him. "Good. Thanks, Tony."
"Don’t mention it. Just focus on Abby now. She’s what matters."
Remo glanced down at Abby, her peaceful face framed by the soft glow of the firelight. She stirred slightly, nuzzling closer to him, and he couldn’t help but smile.
"I will," he said quietly, hanging up the phone.
As he held Abby closer, feeling the steady rise and fall of her breath against him, Remo made a silent vow to protect the peace they had built together. No more ghosts from the past, no more threats lingering in the shadows.
For the first time in a long time, he felt like they were truly free to live their lives the way they wanted.
And he wasn’t going to let anything—or anyone—take that away from them.
