The Tycoon's Enchanted Mermaid-Chapter 171: I Like You the Most
Chapter 171 -171: I Like You the Most
When they were heading downstairs, Qin Yu walked ahead while Ah Da followed closely behind with her phone in hand. She looked at his back and thought about what he had just said. Was he really going to drain the pool?
Did he know she was lying, or didn’t he?
He shouldn’t be angry, should he?
Ugh, never mind him.
Ah Da looked at her phone screen gloomily, thinking about hanging up the call and explaining to Bronze Sword.
Unexpectedly, Su Qingtong replied in a tone that suggested she had expected this.
“I know. Since you two haven’t seen each other for a few days, go ahead and enjoy yourselves. I won’t be a third wheel.”
“Oh, by the way, be careful not to cause any trouble.”
Ah Da texted back, “What trouble?”
She and Qin Yu weren’t going to fight.
Bronze Sword responded, “It’s something you understand but can’t explain.”
Ah Da’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, filled with confusion. Ever since she had woken up from her faint, Bronze Sword had been acting strangely, even seemingly siding with Qin Yu. Had Qin Yu fed her an aphrodisiac?
Just as she was about to type and ask further, Qin Yu’s voice came from below the stairs, “How long are you going to stand there?”
Ah Da hid her phone behind her back and quickly said,
“Coming.”
As she stepped down the last stair, Qin Yu reached out to grab her. His palm was large and warm. The moment he held her, Ah Da felt a tingling sensation.
It was like an electric current had passed through her, wanting to pull away yet reluctantly lusting, even a surge of impulse within her.
Desire to be close to him…
The strange feeling made Ah Da a bit afraid to look at Qin Yu. She bit her lip, suppressing the weird impulse within her heart.
Qin Yu pinched her chin, lifting it up, his handsome and cold face showing little expression, calmly scrutinizing her.
Ah Da’s eyes widened as they made eye contact, and his stare made her feel uneasy. “What… what’s wrong?”
Qin Yu said indifferently, “It seems we still need to have the doctor come over to see you, otherwise why are you always so distracted?”
“Ah? Do we have to?” Ah Da responded with a gloomy face.
Qin Yu released his hand and turned towards the dining room.
Ah Da quickly ran over and held onto his arm, her long hair fluttering, her entire being exuding a soft fragrance as she pressed softly against him. Qin Yu paused for a moment but didn’t push her away.
Seeing this, Ah Da became even more brazen, clinging to him like an octopus, her cheek against his arm, softly pleading in her soft voice, “Qin Yu, can we not see the doctor please? I’m fine, calling the doctor over is too troublesome.”
Qin Yu pulled out a chair, “Their family doctor is supposed to be on call at all times, it’s no trouble.”
Ah Da sat next to him, her tone sincere, “But, last time we went to the hospital for disinfection, we saw so many patients there. They are all very busy.”
Qin Yu tapped his fingers on the table, squinting at her, “First tell me, why don’t you like seeing doctors.”
Ah Da twisted her fingers, “I just don’t like it. If there’s something wrong with my body, it will heal on its own. You never believe me.”
She was internally conflicted because Qin Yu always saw her as fragile, although she was much stronger than him.
Hearing her complaint, Qin Yu scoffed, “So you’re saying I’m just meddling unnecessarily?”
Ah Da immediately played the coward, leaning in and grabbing his hand, “No, I know you care about me, you’re my boyfriend. Please don’t be like this; I’m a bit scared. If you insist on having the doctor come over, then let it be, I won’t refuse.”
At last, looking at his stern face, Ah Da leaned in and kissed his chin, “Is that okay?”
Qin Yu was somewhat surprised, pinching her little hand, “Where did you learn that, from TV dramas?”
Ah Da’s face turned slightly red. The TV drama mentioned this as a lover’s strategy, and she wasn’t sure if it was effective.
After all, Qin Yu did seem quite tyrannical.
The little girl’s voice was very soft, “Hmm, do you agree?”
“What do you think?” Qin Yu looked at her.

Why does he always respond with a question?
Ah Da sighed, turned her head to check if anyone was around, and then kissed him on the cheek, “Now… should it be okay?”
“Nearly.” Qin Yu couldn’t help but want to laugh at her comically strained expression. Ever since he had brought her to live at his house, he found himself laughing more than he had in the past twenty years.
Ah Da breathed a sigh of relief, finally having appeased him.
It was exhausting, yet she was impressive.
Dinner was served, and maybe because she had eaten too much at noon, Ah Da wasn’t very hungry and put her spoon down after sipping some soup.
Qin Yu ate as much as usual. Ah Da thought he would take her for a walk after eating, but instead, he told her to put on her shoes, then pulled her into a car.
Ah Da stared blankly at him as he sat in the driver’s seat, buckled up, and started the car. The blue and red lights looked very cool. Was Qin Yu actually going to drive himself?!
“You know how to drive?”
Qin Yu turned his head, “Do you think I can’t drive?”
Ah Da waved her hands, “No, you can, you’re amazing.”
“So… where are we going?”
Qin Yu turned the steering wheel, “A fun place.”
“Fun?” Ah Da murmured the words and suddenly flashed a smile. She hadn’t expected such a surprise tonight and looked at Qin Yu with adoring eyes.
“Qin Yu, you’re really nice.”
His fingers, distinct and long, rested on the steering wheel. The alternating lights accentuated his handsome and noble features. He glanced at her, “You think I’m nice now, but who was it that called me fierce on the phone not so long ago?”
Ah Da, embarrassed, vehemently denied it, “Who? I don’t know, definitely not me.”
“You are not fierce at all; I like you the most.”
Qin Yu chuckled quietly, not exposing her. Little coward’s skills in winning favors had improved a bit, but not much.
Ah Da kept her phone on her lap, stealing glances at him. Seeing him focused on driving, she worried about disturbing him and turned halfway to look out the car window instead.
The car soon entered the city center. Ah Da rolled down the window and welcomed the gentle evening breeze. Outside, the neon lights in various colors, crisscrossing flyovers, and tall buildings complemented each other, making Capital City at night much more beautiful than during the day.
Ah Da watched intently, curiosity shining in her eyes.
As the car entered a parking lot, Qin Yu slowly turned the steering wheel. Ah Da couldn’t help but stare, feeling somehow that Qin Yu looked even better driving.
Unbuckling his seat belt, Qin Yu turned to look at the day-dreaming girl beside him, tapping her forehead lightly.
“Aren’t you getting out?”
“Qin Yu, you look so good like this.”
Qin Yu leaned over, rubbed her cheek, and whispered close to her lips, “Your mouth is so sweet, did you steal some candy just now?”
“I didn’t eat any.” Ah Da’s eyes twinkled, and she reached out to touch his chin, feeling its smoothness.
Qin Yu grabbed her hand, his gaze darkening, “If you don’t want to go have fun, we can go back now.”
“No,” Ah Da’s face fell immediately, scared, “We’ve come all this way, how can we go back now?”
“Let’s get out of the car.”
As she spoke, as if afraid he might change his mind, she quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, pushed the car door open, and got out. The air conditioning was cold inside the car, but stepping out, she felt a wave of warmth, which Ah Da quickly adjusted to.
A large stone gate illuminated with various lights, carved with the words “Amusement Park,” and a huge Ferris wheel was partly visible.
The entrance had three lines forming, bustling with mostly young men, women, and children.
“It’s so lively.”
