The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1575: Face Slap—Ms. Quinlan Refuses Entry
Celine Tucker was worried that Ellen Quarles might change her mind at the last minute and not give Caryn Zachmann a spot in Inderia, so she went upstairs to change clothes and called the Zachmann family driver to take her to the hospital where Audrick Zachmann was staying.
She originally thought she could see Audrick smoothly and then, as she initially planned, use Audrick to hold Nathalie Quinlan in check.
Who would have known that as soon as Celine reached the inpatient department, before even getting in, she was stopped.
"Sorry, ma’am, you can’t go in." A black-clothed bodyguard strongly blocked Celine in front of her, his towering body blocking her way like a tower.
Celine’s face changed, she tightened her grip on her handbag, frowned, and said coldly, "I’m going in to see my son, what right do you have to stop me?"
"Your son?" The black-clothed bodyguard seemed unfamiliar with her, looking her up and down, with a slightly hesitant expression.
Celine took a deep breath and said coldly, "Audrick is my son, I am his mother."
The bodyguard looked at her attire again.
Before Celine left the house, she had specifically changed her clothes and put on makeup.
She was already well-maintained, and with makeup, she looked even younger and more energetic, giving no hint of being a mother whose son was lying in a hospital. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Because, from Celine’s face, the bodyguard saw no trace of worry.
It felt as if Audrick was not her son, just someone she knew was hospitalized and she came fashionably and elegantly to pay a routine visit.
Seeing that he said nothing and kept scrutinizing her, Celine frowned again and said patiently, "Are you hired by Audrick’s company?"
"How could they arrange security over without informing me first, and even keep me out." She said as she took out her phone from her handbag, intending to call Audrick’s agent: "I’ll call your boss."
The black-clothed bodyguard saw that Celine was about to make a phone call but had no intention of letting her through. He stood his ground, his arm still blocking Celine, and said coldly, "We’re not from any entertainment company, we’re people arranged by Ms. Quinlan. Ms. Quinlan said that apart from her and the doctors, no one else is allowed up during this period. Calling the agency won’t help. If you want to go up, you’ll need Ms. Quinlan’s consent!"
"You said... who?" Celine slowly lowered her phone, looked at the bodyguard in shock, her face suddenly darkening: "Nathalie Quinlan? She, what right does she have?"
It was her first time hearing that a biological mother needed an outsider’s approval to see her own son.
Ridiculous!
Absolutely laughable!
This time, Celine was fuming with anger; she gritted her teeth and directly pushed aside the bodyguard’s hand, attempting to force her way in: "I’m Audrick’s biological mother, why do I need her permission to go up? Get out of my way! Other people’s business is not her concern!"
"Please, ma’am, have some self-respect!"
The black-clothed bodyguard, with his height and strength, stood there. Celine, just a woman, could not muster much strength, and every time she tried to force her way through, she was stopped.
Enraged, she ground her molars, glaring: "I am Audrick’s mother!"
"We don’t care about that; we’re just following orders," the bodyguard said, still as unmoved as ever, giving Celine no face at all: "Ms. Quinlan has instructed that apart from her and Mr. Zachmann’s medical staff, no one else is allowed up for these few days, and that includes you."
