Chapter 1576: Chapter 1576: Oh, She Even Called the Police?

Celine Tucker laughed in anger, her teeth gritted, her temples pulsing with rage, as she shook her hand free: "You won’t let me pass, huh? Alright, I’ll call the police and let them handle this."

She snatched the phone and dialed emergency: "Hello, is this 911? I’m at the City Hospital inpatient department, and here’s the situation..."

Celine was there making a phone call to the police, yet the black-clothed bodyguards paid her actions no mind, maintaining their position with eyes on the situation, as if as long as she didn’t barge in, they didn’t care how much of a scene she made.

The police, having received the emergency call, took it very seriously and immediately said they would send someone over.

After hanging up, Celine stood to the side with a stern face, speaking coldly: "Ha, I’ve called the police. I want to see if you still have the guts to keep blocking me when they arrive."

The black-clothed bodyguards didn’t even raise an eyelid, treating her tirade as nothing.

At the Beijing Police Department.

The young officer who received Celine Tucker’s call put on his cap, getting ready to head out and see what’s going on.

He was just about to leave.

Then his superior came in just as he was about to go, asked, "Where are you going?"

"Ah, I got a report of a disturbance at the City Hospital. I’m heading over to check it out," the young officer, still quite youthful, answered truthfully when his superior asked.

Initially indifferent, his superior responded with a casual ’hmm’, stepping inside.

The young officer was about to go on duty to check it out.

Unexpectedly, the man, preparing to go inside, suddenly stopped, turned his head, and asked, "Which hospital did you just say?"

The young officer had already stepped out of the office, suddenly being halted.

He scratched his head in bewilderment: "Beijing People’s Hospital, I heard someone is causing a disturbance in the inpatient department, preventing the family from going up to see their child. What’s the matter?"

His superior’s expression suddenly grew serious, quickly saying, "Don’t meddle in this. This isn’t something we can handle."

The young officer was dumbfounded: "?"

Isn’t it just a regular disturbance? Why can’t they handle it?

His superior didn’t provide much explanation, as it was too complicated to explain, and a few sentences wouldn’t clarify: "Anyway, don’t get involved. I’ll handle it. I’m going to make a call."

"...Alright." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

The young officer returned to his seat with his cap, increasingly puzzled. But he didn’t have time to dwell on it, as another emergency call came in, demanding his attention, quickly putting the earlier incident out of mind.

...

Rhine.

"Amadeus, your coffee." Alfred Garland brewed a cup of coffee and placed it respectfully in front of the man.

Amadeus Yancey was on the phone.

Not sure who was on the other end, Alfred saw the man’s mouth curl into a disdainful smirk, his eyes filled with mockery: "Oh, she even called the police?"

Alfred perked up his ears and looked over immediately, puzzled.

Who is it, who called the police?

Amadeus didn’t look his way, speaking with great indifference, even a bit coldly: "Pay her no mind, let her create a fuss, nothing but a clown."

"..."

Alfred grew even more curious, eager to jump into the phone, constantly leaning towards the man, listening attentively.

But Amadeus spoke just two brief sentences before hanging up, tossing the phone carelessly on the sofa beside him, and picked up the steaming coffee, taking a brief sip.
