The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1696: Nathalie: No, I Don’t Like Taking Photos
Jaycent Kingsley stopped halfway, remembering something, and asked her: "By the way, SN, do you have any photos on your phone?"
"?" Nathalie Quinlan looked confused.
What?
Photos?
Jaycent chuckled softly and explained warmly: "Your photos, do you have them on your phone? I want to introduce you to my mother; she’s quite nice. If you’re free soon, I can take you to meet her."
The lady of the Independent Continent Kingsleys Family, coming from a noble background herself, Yuni Davidson, is not someone that just anybody can meet in Inderia.
Jaycent thought since it was Nathalie’s first time in Inderia, even though he wasn’t interested in Nathalie in that way, it wouldn’t hurt to introduce Nathalie to someone new.
In case Nathalie caught his mom’s eye, it would be easier for her to handle matters in Inderia in the future.
At the very least, small-time characters like the Naughty Gang wouldn’t dare trouble her again.
"I mean nothing else by it, I’m just saying it’s good to know an elder," Jaycent feared she might misunderstand him, so he explained again.
Nathalie thought for a moment and understood why he was doing this, but she had not yet figured out the relationship between Lynette Kingsley and the Kingsleys Family, so it was inconvenient for her to get too involved with the Kingsleys Family now.
"I don’t take photos."
"I usually don’t like taking pictures, sorry."
Jaycent looked at her deeply, unable to tell whether she didn’t have photos or didn’t want to meet his mother, but he quickly smiled warmly: "No problem, if you don’t have them, you don’t have them, I just suddenly thought to ask."
He spoke as he continued walking forward.
Nathalie pressed down on her duckbill cap, her lips slightly pursed, and followed his pace, speaking in a low voice: "I’ll finish what I have at hand first; if I have time, I’ll visit Aunt."
Jaycent suddenly felt he might have overthought earlier, his handsome face showing a hint of guilt, but then he smiled: "OK, it’s up to you when you’re free."
He thought for a moment and added: "If you have time, go; if you don’t, it doesn’t matter. After all, there will be other opportunities, it’s not like there’s only this one chance."
"Mm." Nathalie didn’t say more, just responded softly, seemingly agreeing with his words.
The two walked out of the restaurant, one after the other.

Commerce Alliance Headquarters.
Torre was handling a document when suddenly the computer flickered and went black.
He was almost done, and this unexpected computer malfunction nearly wasted all his previous efforts.
He couldn’t hold back the fire burning between his brows, picking up the phone on his desk, about to dial the internal line to ask what was going on.
But he found out it wasn’t just the computer.
The internal phone lines in his office weren’t working either!
Torre jumped up, pushed away the leather swivel chair, grabbed his phone, and prepared to go outside and see.
Just then he saw someone knocking on the door.
"Come in."
The secretary hurried in from outside, looking panicked: "President, all the networks of our Commerce Alliance have collapsed."
"?"
"It seems we’ve been hacked! The network lines, circuits, and security facilities of the Commerce Alliance Headquarters have all been cut off from the main computer console, which also got infected with a virus and crashed. The entire alliance has come to a standstill, everyone is in chaos, asking what’s happening. Except for the elevators, which still have backup power, nothing else is functioning."
Torre finally caught the key point from what she said: "You’re saying we’ve been hacked?"
"It seems so." The secretary lowered her head, not daring to speak loudly.
"Ha!" Torre was almost driven to laughter by the string of events today: "We get the Hacker Alliance to build our system, and they have someone hack our network? Are they out of their minds? Or is their mind broken!"
