“Who said they were alone. She has two children, alright? [laughed to tears]… that being said, he was already spending the night over at hers. Their relationship will be defined soon, right?”

“I knew way back when those two were a couple already. The two of them were short of hugging each other during Lin Yiyi’s last streaming session, alright?”

He had filming in a little bit and needed to leave shortly. This was his only chance to take a short break

It didn’t bother Yu Xiaofei much when he didn’t get a response from Meng Yan.

He continued browsing through his cellphone as he kept on talking. “These people on the web are kind of annoying. It’s fine if they just wanted to talk about Lin Yiyi, why must they bring you into the conversation as well… and it has always been this way. They’d smear her and mention you in the same breath. It always creates so much additional work for marketing to pull you out of them… Oh, yeah!” Yu Xiaofei frowned a little. “You seem off today. Did you not sleep well last night?”

He had wanted to say that since Meng Yan had gotten inside the car. The dark circles below his eyes were so obvious that even makeup could barely hide them!

He only waited so long to bring that up because the gossip between Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun was too interesting. He had already spent all morning reading about them.

“Did you stay out too late at the charity ball last night?”

Yu Xiaofei sat down next to him. “I’ve always told you to buy an apartment in the city. Something closer to the studio. That way you won’t have to commute all the time. Sleep deprivation can affect your work negatively, you know…”

As his agent went on and on, Meng Yan finally opened up his eyes.

There was obvious weariness in his voice. “Alright, if you know that I didn’t get a good night’s rest, you should be quiet and let me get some sleep now.”

He didn’t sleep well last night. He saw with his own eyes how intimate Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun were with each other!

Yet, for some inexplicable reasons, as much as he understood fully that he had nothing to do with Lin Yiyi anymore, he couldn’t help but to think about what if they were still married to each other. Even if they were not divorced, their relationships would still be the same as before.

As grand as Yuan Yao’s charity ball was, Yuan Yao was still not able to take the top spot on the most trending list. Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun had taken it from him!

If he thought about it some more, the charity ball event had already been advertised many times in the past and already received its fair share of attention.

By now, when everybody was feeling fatigue from it and a new explosive news hit, everybody’s attention was drawn immediately to this new gossip.

Lin Yiyi found a quiet spot and read it on her cellphone as well.

300,000 clicks in just one morning. It took the top spot on the most trending list and was leaps and bounds ahead of the 220,000 clicks on the charity ball.

She didn’t expect that kind of professionalism from the paparazzi, waiting overnight outside of her house.

She thought ironically; did they deserve some cookies for that?

But she wasn’t feel particularly bothered by it.

Lin Yiyi scratched her head. For some inexplicable reason, she wanted to give Lu Xun a call.
