As soon as Zhang Xiying had returned to her dressing room, her agent immediately walked inside after her and started complaining, “We just paid to have the news of you heading to the hospital go onto the most trending list, and now it’s Lin Yiyi’s news everywhere.”

An actress’s worth was tied to her occasional exposures. Zhang Xiying had hoped to give the impression that she might be pregnant through the news of her heading to the hospital.

She had been married to Meng Yan for over six months, and even though neither one of them had mentioned it in front of the public that their general take on this was to let nature take its course, many of their fans still wanted to see a good outcome to their romance. If they learned of the possibility of her being pregnant, there would be a lot of mention of her on the most trending list for a while.

Zhang Xiying’s agent did not say a word but bit her nail and pondered.

Zhang Xiying had not completely given up even after missing out on her opportunity to move to the big screen a year ago. She had been in the entertainment circle for several years, and the hard work that she had put in was there for all to see.

Having a couple good dramas and a television empress title under her belt would certainly boost her qualifications!

With the resources from Meng Yan, she now has the ability to pick and choose scripts. A good script and good actors and actresses were all very necessary for the production of a good show. Take the current high-budget imperial drama that she was in as an example, it caught a lot of attention from investors and public media alike. Many of those who came to the auditions were first- and second-tier actors and actresses or stars with a lot of followers. Nobody could say for sure whether it would be successful, but it was most certainly one of the major productions of the year.

Having missed out on the big screen the year before, Zhang Xiying would need to win a weighty award this year to up her ante this year!

The sun rose from the east, and the ocean and the sky were blue. The entire island began to wake up.

The pace on an island was slow. Even though it was already daytime, many were still asleep in bed. Only a few individuals walked out on the white, clear, and soft sand looking for breakfast.

The over-the-water bungalows were nice and bright.

The light, thin cotton and linen screens waved in the sea breeze. The morning sun, basked in the humid and salty air, poured onto the cold-colored tiles through the half-opened windows unobstructed.

When Lin Yiyi had woken up and opened her eyes, she immediately saw an enlarged handsome face on the pillow next to hers!
