Chapter 268 – “What are you smiling at?” (1)

“Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun were spotted at the airport.”

“The two boarded a flight to Maldives in the middle of the night. Were they going on their honeymoon?”

“The two had been flaunting their relationship lately and rumors had it that they are getting close to tying the knot.”

While Lin Yiyi and the others were vacationing at Maldives and completely oblivious to what was going on, the entertainment circle was, once again, fired up over the news of the two. The topic that everybody was most curious about was whether the two were really on their honeymoon.

Had the two of them gotten married?

The news that the two were a couple just came out a couple of months ago, and they were already wedded since then? Wasn’t that progressing a little bit fast?

The melon-eating crowd were not the only ones curious about it; many of those within the entertainment circle were very curious about it as well.

The dressing room within a production team was usually where rumors spread. Who didn’t like gossiping a little while changing? At this moment in time, someone casually brought the subject up. “I heard that Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun are about to get married?”

“Aren’t they already married? They went to Maldives last night, and news about them was already all over the web.”

Apparently, everybody was highly curious about this topic.

Not everyone was just speculating and repeating what others were saying. After the two gossipers had gotten everybody curious, an actress who had just finished reading about gossip on her phone leaned back, smiled, and said, “Brother Spill had just posted solid proof. Even with shades and baseball caps, you call still tell it those two in the photo!”

The look, the aura, the head-to-toe designer brands. They stood out even in a big crowd. Even with half their faces covered up, it wasn’t enough to hide their identities from the camera.

Not to mention the three children that were with them!

After she had successfully gotten everybody’s attention, the actress felt a sense of pride. She gave everyone a look and said secretively, “Do you know that they were not the only ones who headed to Maldives? Ms. Lin Ping and her husband tagged along as well…”

She paused for a second, as though allowing time for others to process the information or to drum up more curiosity, before she carried on. “That being said, their destination is a different island. They probably won’t run into each other… Aiya, they even split into two groups when they go on vacation. They must be allowing the two of them quality time to spend with each other. I think what they are saying on the web is true, that the two of them are about to tie the knot soon!”

Ever since the lesson from Lu Xun last time, Brother Spill had really cleaned up his acts. After all, his livelihood was within the entertainment circle. It was not a big deal to offend an actor or a celebrity; they might be popular this year but who was to say where they would stand the year after? They just may not be his match.

Shengshi Entertainment, on the other hand, was a big company who had been in the entertainment circle for dozens of years. Their background and their power were no joke. One conflict with them enough to teach him a hard lesson.

Even the “proof” this time was something that was already common knowledge. He had done a little bit further digging just to show that he had done his due diligence.

The actress giggled after she was done talking. Zhang Xiying, who had listened to part of the conversation by the door, turned and returned to her own dressing room with a long face.

Her little assistant following behind her hesitated where she was. She looked down at the bag in her hands and said in a low voice, “I thought you are buying beverages for everyone. What am I going to do with these now?”
