The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 116: The Same As Usual
Those memories started years ago when Abigail was still in her asylum. Back then, she had been famous throughout the hospital for making troubles one after another for everyone, and none of the psychiatrists were ready to take up her case.
Thus, she ended up changing her doctor every single month. They would either file a complaint against her, or they would end up leaving the job itself. The crazy and moody Abigail was a headache.
Then, a doctor with a doctorate in Psychiatry joined as the head of the department. He was indeed very young and had a very good future ahead of him to be able to get that kind of degree at such a young age. What’s more? The moment he stepped into the hospital lobby for the very first time, the nurses and all the lady staff couldn’t help but sneak a glance at his face.
Ah, such a handsome doctor! If only he could smile a little!
Despite his expression, he was still polite to the ladies as he walked ahead, nodding at every single one of them. He stopped at the receptionist’s desk and waited for the lady on the other side of the table to ask him.
But she didn’t. Instead, she continued to stare at him blindly as if she had gone completely infatuated with him.
The doctor tapped onto the table and asked, "Am I that handsome?"
The receptionist blinked and blushed as she cleared her throat. "Yes... Uh, no... I mean..."
"Forget it." The doctor sighed as a smile formed on his lips. His amber eyes looked at the receptionist behind his typical frameless glasses as he pushed them up and said, "How about you enter my name and let me join my staff?"
The receptionist saw the white coat in the man’s arms as she nodded, typing something on the computer.
"Your name?"
The man smiled and said, "Silas Monroe."

Nicholas’s eyes opened as he looked around in utter confusion. A frown crossed his forehead as he pressed his temples. Even though his headache was gone, he seemed to have dreamt of something... What was it that he dreamed of?
No... Why was he even having a headache in the first place? Yeah, he was reading Abigail’s novel, but what was the content of that book?
Why was he unable to remember? His memory was just fine, so why did he forget such an important event?
The only thing he remembered was his own decision to wait at this place and join hands with Asher to save Abigail.
At this time, he was still sitting in his study. He seemed to have fallen asleep for the night on the desk itself.
Since things had already been decided, he should get ready and head to Abigail’s set with them.
Downstairs, since it was already morning, Abigail and Asher were sitting at the dining table and had already started eating their food. Abigail had already long forgotten her husband’s strange behavior from last night. She was currently extremely excited to play her role, finally!
Lily was the kind of character who could make people feel sympathy for her at first glance. But at the same time, they would feel a shiver down their spines upon seeing her other face.
For a person with extreme mood swings such as Abigail, this role was similar to eating food. So easy!
As Abigail was cheering up, she heard the sound of footsteps coming closer as she raised her head. There, she saw her husband descending downstairs with a familiar cold expression on his face. As always.
Abigail’s eyes lit up as she called out to him. "Husband!"
Nicholas glanced at her and ignored her presence, continuing downstairs. He silently sat beside her as the cook, a middle-aged man, finally walked out with Nicholas’s share. He placed the dishes in front of the man and walked away.
"Husband~" Abigail called out to him as she leaned closer and said, "Say, you’ll accompany me, right?"
Nicholas ignored her and continued to focus on his food as if she didn’t exist in the first place.
"Husband...." Abigail finally realized that the more she uttered that word, the more Nicholas got irritated. So like a shameless young lady, she started chanting: "Husband, Husband, Husband, Husband....."
Suddenly, her chanting stopped abruptly when a spoon fell to the ground with a thud, creating a loud noise.
Asher, who had gritted his teeth earlier, spoke through his teeth and said, "My fault."
Last night was so good, and now, this girl is back to her husband once again!
No matter how much he treated her better if Nicholas did one small thing for her, Abigail would forget everything quickly and turn her back to Asher!
The latter was so angry that he almost broke his spoon while eating, gripping it harder than ever. He took a deep breath and tried his best to calm himself down.
Of course, neither Nicholas nor Abigail glanced at her. Of course, the latter was busy teasing her husband once again and the former didn’t care what was happening around him. He was busy eating his food and planning his day since he had to accompany his wife to her work.
Maybe he should just take his laptop along and make do with it. After thinking about it, he noticed his food was finished. Thus, he got up from his seat and took his plate, heading toward the kitchen. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Wait up!" Abigail was actually frustrated after seeing that her husband wasn’t sparing her a single glance. The difference between last night’s husband who agreed to her demands and the current one is so big that Abigail felt helpless in her heart.
Honestly, since she was already married to Nicholas, she still wanted her marriage to work. She didn’t want a tag on her face of being a divorcee if her marriage could actually work.
Thus, she felt a trace of hope in her heart after last night. Perhaps, she might be able to soften Nicholas’s heart.
But today, he transformed into a cold and heartless CEO once again.
Abigail pouted as she said, "Ah, he is still the same as usual."
Why did she feel like he had changed a little? Probably her imagination. Nicholas was like a dog’s tail that could never be straightened no matter how much she tried.
Nicholas didn’t know that he was being compared to a dog’s tail. He casually went upstairs and packed his bag. Then he came downstairs, sitting in the living room, waiting for others to prepare.
