The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 117: Bickering Like Children
Abigail didn’t really focus on her husband anymore since she already had another choice. So what if Nicholas wasn’t paying her any attention? She already had Asher who was ready to take her to the costliest and the most luxurious places ever! Even if they both failed to pay her any attention, didn’t she still have her doctor?
After thinking about it, she felt relaxed from the depths of her heart. At the very least, she had several options at hand, especially the ones she liked the most. If asked which one of them she liked, she wouldn’t be able to choose.
Abigail wasn’t the type of girl who believed in thinking about her future very much. Whatever happened would be her fate. The rest, she wouldn’t want to think too much. Her mood swings were already too much to handle. If she took up the anxiety of her future, she might not even be able to rest at peace anymore.
Thus, she happily opened the door to the passenger seat when Nicholas came abruptly and closed the door with a thud. He stared at her coldly and said, "Sit at the back with me."
"No way!" Asher glared at the man and said, "How would it look if the two of you sat in the backseat? I’d surely become a driver, nothing else! She’s sitting in the front!"
"In the back."
"In the front!"
"In the back."
"..." Abigail looked back and forth as she held her forehead. "How about... I sit in the back and the two of you can have the front seats?"
Nicholas glanced at her coldly and opened the door without any question, taking his seat. Asher scoffed and walked toward his driver’s seat.
Abigail released the breath she was holding. Certainly, it was like trying to take care of two children. She could only hope that her doctor, Owen, was mature enough, not childish like these two here.
Thus, they started their car journey with Nicholas sitting in the passenger seat as he pulled out his laptop while Asher drove. The latter glanced at the former and said, "Don’t use the laptop while I’m driving."
"Why?" Nicholas scoffed and said, "I’m a nobody and useless CEO like you who likes to dump all the work on his subordinates and wander off to have a vacation anytime, anywhere."
Asher’s face turned red from anger as he said, "So what if I want to waste my time? Isn’t my company better than yours? This shows my idea of letting the subordinates do all the work is better than yours."
"Sure, it can look good from the sidelines at first," Nicholas continued typing as his fingers flew across the keyboard. "But in the long term, you’ll surely suffer."
"You’re jealous of me. Admit it."
Nicholas stopped speaking nonsense and pulled out his phone, calling his assistant.
"Yes, William, do something for me."
Asher felt even more irritated.
Sitting behind them, Abigail glanced at the two of them and sighed. Why did she feel like her days would be further filled with childishness like this?
They reached their destination after a couple of hours of traveling in the same conflicted mood. Nicholas also finally put down his phone tucked it in his pocket and walked out with his laptop shut. His face remained expressionless.
Asher, on the other hand, scoffed at his emotionless cousin and turned to look at the backseat. If he were this beautiful lady’s husband, he would have gone and pulled her out first before anyone else.
Didn’t Nicholas feel even a single trace of emotion for her?! Why is this woman even so hell-bent on calling her ’husband’ in such a sweet voice at all times?!
Asher was sick of it. He took a deep breath. No matter what, this young woman Olivia was his girlfriend. No one can change that.
Yes, despite finding out that the killer probably found Abigail, they continued with her fake identity. It would be too awkward to reveal Abigail’s real identity now that everyone knew that this woman Olivia was Asher’s newfound girlfriend.
So what if Abigail had Nicholas? In the eyes of the world right now, only Asher could hug and touch Olivia!
Thus, he confidently walked over and opened the door to Abigail, who also immediately entered her role and got out of the backseat with a cold expression on her face.
Honestly, Abigail felt slightly awkward after seeing Nicholas standing at the main door of the hotel where they were supposed to stay. They had already packed their bags. Nicholas pulled out the bags and walked forward with a cold expression on his face, knowing well that Asher had taken up the opportunity to sneak toward his wife, but he still didn’t care about it.
To him, it was better to protect his wife than to romance with Abigail like Asher. This was Nicholas’s way of showing off his emotions.
He had been awkward and embarrassed ever since a child. Thus he rarely shared his real emotions out in the open. That’s why, people often misunderstood him as a cold and emotionless person who didn’t feel a single trace of emotion. But it wasn’t like that.
He did feel emotions, it’s just that it had been very difficult for him to express those emotions out in the open. He had been a closed book ever since a child, probably because he never got any opportunity to share his emotions with others in the first place.
When he needed his mom, she was never available. But now when he wanted to hide himself, everyone, mostly Abigail, started chasing him. But they didn’t know that it was too late.
Thus, the trio entered the hotel as they walked toward the receptionist.
Asher tapped onto the counter and smiled, "Lady, will you be kind to me and give us the assigned rooms? Ah, we also need one more room adjacent to it since we also brought along Olivia’s assistant." He brazenly pointed his finger at Nicholas, who was still standing beside him with his face turning colder after hearing those words.
The receptionist looked at the men standing on the other side as she blushed slightly, lowering her head. She coughed and nodded.
Ah, these two men are so handsome!
Damn, that cold-looking assistant seemed more like a CEO rather than a mere assistant! Do they eat some kind of special herb to grow up like that?!
She started searching for the name that Asher gave and nodded.
"We have a room with Olivia and Asher. You both seemed to be sharing a room. And you still want another, right?" The lady started typing only to be blocked by Nicholas.
"No." He then said without changing his face, "We don’t need a room. The three of us will share."
