The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 132: You’re Coming With Me
Abigail finally returned to the scene, pumped up for the day. Rebecca continued to shoot her scenes starting from the treadmill. Now she realized why the director had set two to three days for the first five minutes of a scene in the movie. It was too hard to shoot every micro expression perfectly!
By the end of the day, Rebecca was too tired to even sneak a single glance at Abigail, of course, that was what the latter felt anyway. Thus, without approaching the woman, she went out with her two ’assistants’ and sat on the backseat of the car.
Tomorrow will be the day for the male lead. Should she come and watch the shooting?
Just as she was thinking, Nicholas suddenly said, "Abigail, you have plans for tomorrow with me."
"Huh?" So sudden? "Where?"
"To an event." Nicholas lied with a straight face, "I’m supposed to take my wife to an event."
"What event?" Abigail was still confused about the whole thing. Why was she supposed to go anyway? She wasn’t his official wife anyway. She was going to be a shield for Nicholas to avoid the attacks, wasn’t she?
Probably that’s why he was taking her?
Sure, she believed in her heart that the man probably felt a little trace of affection toward her, but he was still cold to her. Abigail knew that once a man liked someone (according to those novels she read), he would be possessive toward her no matter what. The fact that it took Nicholas so much time to merely lie to her face about this event after such a long time...
He must not like her too much to the point of being obsessive. Thus Abigail also felt like she should just go with the flow and not take anything seriously. What if she hung up on him and the man ended up kicking her out of his life once the contract term ends?!
She would be the one to suffer in the end! Abigail refused to let herself suffer anymore at the hands of anyone, especially handsome, eye-candies around her!
Nicholas didn’t speak. What kind of event was it? Nothing special. In fact, even he didn’t have to go. It was the premier of a movie he had produced internationally and had been invited to attend. He originally didn’t want to attend, but seeing how close Abigail and Asher were becoming these days to the point of even booking a private suite for lunch...
His heart burned with traces of jealousy. Surely, he was the one who had originally decided to just let go of Abigail and let her decide whom she wanted to be with. He was the one who wanted to be the passive party because he felt like he would never be able to love a woman other than his mother and only considered Abigail merely a ’wife’ material for him who complimented him fully.
But who would have thought he would become jealous like this for her one day?!
Now, he even wanted to attend this event and take Abigail with him. At the very least, the woman wouldn’t see Asher’s face for three hours until they were in the theaters.
Asher showed a sly smile. "Go ahead. But let me remind you, this event isn’t very necessary to attend, and for your information, I can also be invited."
"You aren’t." Nicholas was sure that this man wasn’t invited for this event since he had checked the list before confirming the seat for himself and Abigail as a couple. If Asher were invited, he wouldn’t have agreed to attend the premier in the first place.
"Oh?" Asher chuckled coldly. "Well then, I can get myself invited. I have connections."
"Do whatever you want." Nicholas didn’t care a bit about the man since he already had everything under control.
These few days he was busy because of this movie. Now that it was finally released, his busy days were lessened a bit.
"Guys." Abigail cleared her throat and said, "Can you not fight? I’ll go with Nicholas since it’s an important event and Asher," She glared at her cousin-in-law from the backseat, crossing her arms on her chest. "I’m still angry about what you did. So don’t even think about stepping a foot inside that theater."
Asher felt delighted when he thought of the lunch. Sure, he made Abigail angry by kissing her cheek through the cover of that disguised mask, but what of it? Even though he didn’t touch her skin, he still felt happy at heart.
His progress was one percent above Nicholas’s! If the man learned about it, how much would he regret not making Abigail his true wife?!
But he wasn’t as crazy as to speak about it in front of them. Since he was in a good mood, he let Nicholas have a rare moment alone with Abigail. It wasn’t that the man had it in him to take a single active step toward her anyway.
He was confident in his skills and knew that even if Nicholas became an active pursuer, he would still be inferior to Asher as usual.
"Go, go. I have work anyway."
Nicholas looked at the utterly confident Asher and averted his eyes.
Competing with one another like this for such a small thing was a child’s game. He merely wanted to keep Abigail away from this man’s gaze. Else, he wouldn’t have agreed to this at all.
Thus, he continued to keep himself in the illusion that he wasn’t competing with Asher and drove to their designated hotel. Things were calm and serene for a while until they finally reached their room, had their meals, and prepared for bed at night.
So... Who would sleep where?
Sure, there were three single beds inside, but even the position of the three people mattered. What if Abigail chose the window and ended up with either of them staring at her back constantly?
"She’s sleeping in the middle." Nicholas announced as soon as they decided to sleep while Abigail stood in the middle wearing her night dress with a floral design, carrying a huge teddy bear in her arms.
Don’t judge. That teddy bear was merely lying in the corridor. She was just giving it a good use!
