After being chased out of the infirmary, Cornelia and Dekan didn't immediately go elsewhere. Despite successfully gaining exploration progress in the infirmary, Cornelia noticed Dekan's expression. She knew Dekan was planning a big move.

Dekan was standing outside the infirmary, pressing his ear against the door, eavesdropping on what was happening inside. Occasionally, he would try to observe the situation through the door crack. Cornelia stood by, keeping watch for him.

"Squeak! Squeak!"

Dekan heard the occasional sharp, piercing sound of metal saws coming from the infirmary. It sounded like the demon school doctor was using sharp tools to cut and modify Baron Bacher's flesh and bones.

Currently, the demon school doctor was conducting horrifying modifications on Baron Bacher. If the modifications were successful, Baron Bacher might achieve combat power close to Tier 6. Baron Bacher's agonized cries and the buzzing of the metal saws filled the air.

After a while, Baron Bacher's screams grew louder and turned into a desperate roar.

"Ahhhh! Why am I here?!"

Baron Bacher finally regained consciousness during the "modification surgery" by the demon school doctor. Although his mind was still in turmoil, the pain from being skinned and carved gradually brought him back to awareness.

He realized he was no longer in the culinary classroom but in a terrifying place for teachers.

"Hmm, Baron Bacher, endure a bit longer. You will become my masterpiece," the demon school doctor said, sewing demonic and metal components onto Baron Bacher's body while deliberately using rough methods to stimulate his wounds. The demon school doctor had a sadistic taste and didn't like to administer anesthesia to patients; he even tried to keep them awake.

"Stop it! Ahhh!" Baron Bacher couldn't accept his elegant self being turned into the doctor's experiment. Although his brain was a mess, one thing was clear: he felt as though he were drowning in fear, almost suffocating him.

He was falling into an inescapable nightmare. It seemed like he had endured much greater pain before. The fear accompanying the pain pointed to something even more terrifying than the school principal.

But he couldn't remember the appearance of that terrifying entity; it was as if his brain's self-defense mechanism prevented him from recalling it.

Baron Bacher desperately pleaded with the demon school doctor, "Please, let me go! You're also being targeted! Escaping is still possible!"

"Hehe, Baron Bacher, don't talk nonsense. I treated you according to the school rules. You can't blame me," the demon school doctor said, paying no attention to Baron Bacher, who was losing his mind. He was absorbed in his modification work.

"You're violating the rules! There's no way I would come to you voluntarily!" Baron Bacher seemed to remember something and exclaimed in panic.

"Two students brought you here, not me."

The demon school doctor grinned.

"Two students... Ahhhh!" Baron Bacher seemed to recall something, and his memory became clearer. He cried out in agony, his voice becoming increasingly fragmented and piercing. This made the demon school doctor very satisfied with Baron Bacher's condition. The instruments in his hands moved even faster.

After about ten minutes, the horrifying cries from Baron Bacher in the infirmary finally reached their peak.

Dekan felt it was almost time. Whether it was a live patient turned into a dead one or a dead one brought back to life, the modification should be nearing its end, and there should be results.

"Cornelia, do you remember the escape route?" Dekan asked softly.

Cornelia nodded seriously. She had been carefully studying the map Dekan had drawn.

Dekan continued, "Be mindful of the noise up ahead."

Cornelia covered her ears. "Okay."

Then, Dekan summoned the Ruined Poet outside the infirmary.

"Pain! It's too painful!"

Black mist instantly filled the corridor, even creeping into the infirmary.

"Ah, ah, ah—" (Distorted)

At the same time, the screams from the infirmary became fragmented and sharp, startling the demon school doctor.

He realized that Baron Bacher's intense pain seemed to be related to the black mist.

"He! It's him!" At this moment, Baron Bacher finally remembered the fear-inducing entity controlled by the black mist. He also recalled the demon standing within the mist.

It was the most terrifying demon he had ever seen, one that toyed with him, tortured him endlessly, and shattered his sanity.

With the pain and fear reaching their peaks simultaneously, Baron Bacher felt something in his mind shatter.

"Ah, ah, ah! Hahaha!"

Baron Bacher began to laugh maniacally, a mixture of laughter, tears, and madness. He roared and cried, appearing completely insane.

He had become thoroughly berserk, or rather, he had gone completely insane.

"Baron Bacher, calm down a bit! I'm following the rules here! I can justify my actions to the principal!" the demon school doctor shouted in panic. However, Baron Bacher seemed to pay no heed to him and continued to rampage, assaulting the demon school doctor. The sounds of their struggle echoed through the infirmary, and even in the hallway.

Baron Bacher had completely lost control, and it seemed like he had gone mad.

"Hey there!" At that moment, a small figure appeared in Baron Bacher's field of vision. It stood at the end of the corridor and waved playfully.

It had a mocking smile on its face.

"Hehehe, come over here!" It spoke with a playful yet somewhat intelligent voice.

As Baron Bacher's gaze focused entirely on the small figure in the distance, he began to tremble. The figure was a small, chubby humanoid doll, and its face...

It was a cute, chibi version of Dekan!
