When Indomitable will leveled up, Akaris felt his mind clear, the world around him blurred, Oriana and everybody else looked deformed.

He knew immediately that he was trapped in an illusion but knowing didn’t mean he could escape it.

Indomitable will was a passive skill, he couldn’t use it at will and could only wait for it to work on its own.

However he did turn around and pulled his bow, his drew the bowstring and shot an arrow at the tree.

He was certain it was this tree that had him trapped in an illusion, his arrow pierced into the tree but nothing happened.

He didn’t stop and continued firing arrows until pregnant Oriana appeared in front of him with teary eyes.

" Dear, please come back to me." Akaris paused, he knew this was fake but the memories he had felt so real.

He gritted his teeth and released the arrow, it pierced through her stomach and she flew back and collided with the tree.

When that happened, the illusion cracked, Oriana screamed like a beast and transformed into a monster.

He shot an arrow through her head and killed her, the other humans suddenly turned into monsters.

Akaris knew the fight was not going to be easy but he was wrong, he had not lost his precision and skill with the bow.

Each arrow pierced through their head killing them, they lunged at him like mindless monsters.

Akaris killed each and every single one of them, when he killed the last one, the illusion shattered.

He jumped up then realised he had fainted near the tree, he looked up and saw the golden fruits.

He shook his head with fear, he kicked Oriana and woke her up, " Ouch, that hurt why’d you do that? You’re so mean."

Oriana pouted, she looked cute but he had no time to admire that, " We need to get the shit out of here now."

He shouted and grabbed her arm then summoned his echo and they jumped off the hill.

" What’s happening Akaris I’m confused?" Akaris didn’t explain and continued running, it was still the sunless dawn so the blood sea was not here.

The moment they touched the ground he turned around and pulled his bow, an arrow formed after three seconds.

He released it and it exploded on the tree trunk leaving barely a scratch, he realised he couldn’t harm this abominable tree.

Oriana still looked confused, Akaris wondered if he was the only one who experienced an illusion.

He still didn’t explain anything to her, when they left the boundary of the tree’s domain, the undead swarmed them.

Their numbers were overwhelming and they were strong, much stronger than before, they seemed keen to block their path.

Akaris retreated and they opened space, then he realised they were trying to lead them towards the tree.

He gritted his teeth and told Oriana they had to fight, she took her soul beast form, instead of the uni-octo one she took the tiger soul beast.

Which was strange considering that soul beast form barely had any defence, it left her in her underwear really.

A very tight and small sport bra and what might as well be lingerie and considering how her body is built.

She straight up looked more like a seductress than a fighter, everytime she attacked, her breasts would jiggle like jelly.

The cat ears and tail just made her more attractive, almost like cosplay, he used to like those.

In fact she used to dress up in cosplay for him when they were dating because it turned him on.

He ignored her choice of beast soul, as long as she could fight and remain alive then everything would be fine.

However before long, he started having to rescue her because she was being beseiged from all sides.

His arrows cut through the night sky like light streaks taking down the undead multiple at a time.

They reached high ground before long, it was a mountain, they climbed the mountain and stood at its peak.

The blood sea came and they had to fight the blood spawn, a very large and powerful blood spawn showed up.

Unfinished it faced Oriana and before long she started losing. " Akaris, please help me." She begged pitifully.

He helped her and killed the blood spawn with a single arrow, Oriana tiptoed to him and hugged him.

" You’re so strong, I don’t know what I’ll do without you." She whispered and tried to kiss him but he pulled back.

" We still have enemies to deal with." He answered coldy. The battle continued and she kept getting more and more useless.

On top of that she started relying too much on him and trying to seduce him, at some point she just took off her clothes and slept next to him naked.

He didn’t say anything or remove her, he just say there quietly with a cold face. When the sunless dawn came they left.

They cut through an army of undead until they reached another mountain, this one was taller.

At its peak sat a giant red palace with a blood moon sitting directly above it. They climbed to the top of this mountain.

Just as they were about to reach the peak, about army of demons beseiged them, Oriana shrieked pitifully and hid behind him.

He sighed with fatigue and pulled his bow, each arrow met its mark without him having to even aim.

They climbed up until they reached the palace, she went to open its gates but failed and he just pushed it open with one hand. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Inside the palace they found a giant demon wearing red armour with two red horns pointing up.

" Well done hero, You’ve defeated all of my subordinates and have finally reached me but here you will meet your end."

The demon outstretched its hand and Oriana’s body flew on its own into the demons arms.

She cried and begged it to release her, Akaris sighed. " Really, is this the best you can do?

Using a stupid childhood fantasy of a hero and some damsel, it’s pathetic really, disregarding all the other mistakes with your illusion.

You made one fundamental one, the Oriana I know would rather chew her own heart than act as pitiful as this pathetic mimic you came up with." He shouted.
