Akaris approached the hawk king and saw the three spheres glowing on the ground but ignored them.

The first order of business was changing his echo from the blood feaster to this tempest Hawk King.

The blood feaster had helped him a lot, he would’ve died without it but unfortunately he can only have one echo right now.

And this tempest Hawk King is way too powerful to let up, if he was alone he was now sure he would’ve been able to take it down.

And he only survived because he can literally see the future, otherwise its wind blades would’ve cut him in half.

Changing the echo was but a thought and it happened rapidly, his blood feaster disappeared into particles.

He sighed, especially since he had figured out how to grow the blood feaster, now he would have to figure that out for this one too.

Then he picked up the three objects and their descriptions appeared in his hand and he couldn’t but shake from excitement.

( Skill Orb- Contains the wind barrier skill of the tempest Hawk King.) The first orb alone made his heart jump with joy.

He personally experienced how powerful that skill was, then he checked the send and his joy grew stronger.

( Skill points orbs- Grants instant experience of a single skill.) This one can allow you to level up a single skill.

There was no mention of how much experience would be gained, perhaps not even enough to level up a skill.

It was still a very good reward but the last one is what made his heart almost stop beating.

( Limit break orb- Can allow an individual to break the level limit without a class for up to five levels.)

" How is this possible?" He whispered, Oriana snatched each of the orbs and read their description.

She froze unable to react, she too was greatly tempted by the last one but she understood that Akaris had the greatest contribution here.

She gave them back to him and waited, Akaris immediately gave her the first two and took the last one.

Reaching level 10 didn’t sound like much but it was a big deal, he didn’t know the specific reason but he figured there was a massive enhancement, why else would it be a limit.

Oriana looked at the two orbs then looked at him, " I’m fine with one of them, are you sure you want me to have both?" She asked.

Akaris nodded, he had already taken the echo, he figured he might as well give her the wind barrier skill and the skill points orb.

While he had a few skills he wanted to level up, he figured she needed it more than he did.

Even his future sight, a very high level skill could level up faster than her beast soul at this point.

From what she said, she hadn’t gained a single percentage increase since they got here, not to mention leveling up the skill.

Oriana was also very happy to receive the skill points orb but she didn’t know what to use it on.

Using it on the beast soul skill could allow her to use less mana to use the beast souls or possibly even allow her to gain an extra beast soul slot.

But using it directly on one of his beasts souls could give her an instant boost of power.

Her beast souls give percentage boosts to specific stats of hers, how high the percentage boost is depends on how strong the beast soul is.

Currently the agility boost given by her tiger beast soul is around 150 percent, if that increases she can grow even faster.

Her uni-octo gives 130 to strength and 100 percent to endurance but the endurance one did not matter much besides stamina wise.

The bone armour alone gives enough defence, her own body being durable is not that important.

The strength boost is what she was interested in, now she was at a conundrum and had no idea what to use the skill point on.

She crushed the wind barrier skill orb and gained the skill.

Oriana’s status screen looked good, even without the enhancement of her beast souls, she was really strong.

Her physical stats can match that of a lot of lower level monsters, with the enhancement of her beast souls, she was even more of a monster.

She decided to use the wind barrier first to see how strong it was, after that she would decide where to use her skill points orb.

A thin barrier of wind appeared around her and she used her uni-octo then she told Akaris to attack her with his arrow.

He hesitated then aimed where it wouldn’t kill her, his arrow immediately pierced through the wind barrier.

It shattered like glass and his arrow hit her bone armour and left a small crack but failed to pierce through.

That crack closed rapidly, she cancelled her beast soul, she had made up her mind and would use the skill orb on her wind barrier.

While offensive power mattered, her life mattered more, this wind barrier didn’t just provide defence but made her body lighter.

If it grew stronger it could possibly make her faster, it would give her a means of defence for her tiger beast soul and thus removing its weakness.

She crushed the orb and used it on the wind barrier skill, a gust of wind picked up around her.

It formed a cyclone with her as the centre which lasted a few seconds then disappeared.

( Wind Barrier has reached level 10) " Holy fuck." She cursed, she realised she had underestimated the experienced given by the orb.

What she didn’t know was that it was only so much because both the skill and the experience orb came from the same creature.

Had she used it on another skill, the improvement would not have been this much.

She activated wind barrier and a thin barrier of wind with a sligh cyan hue appeared, it highly resembled the one used by the tempest Hawk King now.

" That looks strong." Akaris commented then crushed his own orb and felt a wave of energy course through him.
