" Holy shit." That power terrified Akaris, he knew he couldn’t handle that blade of wind at all.

He drew his bow and was about to release his arrow when he saw another blade flying towards him through future sight.

He didn’t dare cancel future sight, he dodged slightly to the side a split second before.

The blade passed by his and he felt the sharpness just by being close to it, he released his arrow at the same time.

The arrow cut through the forest like lightning, with its massive size the hawk couldn’t dodge it.

He grinned, then his arrow bounced, a wind barrier similar to his mana skin appeared over the hawk.

While it looked like his mana skin it was much much stronger and obviously sharp considering it cut the mana arrow.

Akaris knew he couldn’t beat this creature, unlike the others, not only was it intelligent but it could use mana too.

The hawk shrieked and felt the mind attack again, his will of Steel blocked it and the hawk lunged at him.

Akaris saw a huge shadow descending upon him, its wings covered the sky and its talons were like iron claws.

He knew getting caught between those would be a quick way to meet the lord of hell, as soon as the hawk got close he used mana wave.

A wave of mana spread out and collided with the sharp talons but that only managed to stop it for a second.

The mana wave was stopped from expanding and it busted like a bubble, a shockwave spread out.

Akaris rode that shockwave like a wave and dodged the hawks talons, he felt his internals rattling from the force.

He rolled on the ground and jumped back up, the hawk followed with another attack but a shadow attacked it from above.

Oriana descended from the sky but her sword was gone, long claws of mana descended on the hawks back like daggers.

Cling, sound clashing metal echoed through the dark forest, her mana claws failed to pierce through the wind barrier.

The hawk shrieked and took to sky with her on its back then it spun rapidly and threw her off.

While she was falling, it flapped its wings sending two wind blades at her, she couldn’t dodge mid air.

Akaris immediately shot an arrow at her, having seen her trajectory perfectly with future sight, his arrow was precise.

The arrow brushed against the sole of her foot and she kicked, the arrow diverted to the side but so did she.

She body crashed through the trees and the two wind blades cut ravines on the ground, Akaris didn’t pay any attention to her.

Oriana was so strong, she will be fine, he had to find a wave to deal with this bird or they will die here.

He kept cursing whoever set up this trail, this was not a trail but a death sentence. The hawk turned towards him.

" Shit." He jumped back and did two back flips dodging three wind blades consecutively.

At the same time he shot six arrow shooting two at a time, while the hawk was fast it was also large plus he had future sight.

Unlike Oriana who basically had premonition like instincts, the hawk was an easier target.

He continued pouring more mana into it while simultaneously gathering mana for his mana wave.

He poured two hundred mana points into his exploding arrow before it started shaking unable to handle the large amount of mana.

His remaining nearly 300 mans points were poured into his mana wave, his normal mana pool was drained and he started drawing from his mana heart.

Akaris understood that this was dangerous but he poured 300 mana points from his mana heart only leaving 600 mana points remaining.

A dense amount of mana gathered inside him ready to explode, to kill the hawk king he would need to break its wind barrier first.

Akaris turned around and faced it, he dodged left and right avoiding its wind blades and ran towards it.

The hawk shrieked but suddenly, eight bones whips lashed out through the most and bound its wings.

It struggled but it was already too late, Akaris jumped, unable to flap its wings it couldn’t use its wind blades.

It pecked at him with its spear like beak, " AHHHHHH." Akaris roared and released the mana wave.

BOOOOM, a wave of dense mana spread out but Akaris had suppressed its range making it much stronger.

It collided with the hawk’s bird, the clash lasted a few seconds before the wind barrier shattered.

Its beak broke and the hawk was sent crashing on the ground still bound by the eight bone whips.

Before it could stand back up, a giant blade was thrown through the air and impaled it in the chest.

The blade sunk deep but unfortunately missed the vital part allowing the hawk king to survive.

But that did not matter, Akaris immediately release his exploding arrow, the arrow was not too fast.

But when it touched the hawk the world seemed to come to stand, then an explosion followed.

Mana spread out, followed by a shockwave that destroyed all trees in a hundred metres radius. Even he was sent flying back by the shockwave.

Oriana fared better with her large and heavy bone armour. Akaris rolled on the ground then jumped back up.

His face was pale and he coughed up blood, his mana skin had shattered during the initial collision.

His internals were rattled by the force then the shockwave made things worse. Multiple ribs were broken and is skin had cracked with blood flowing out.

His eyes turned towards the giant hawk and it lay there unmoving. He received the kill notification a second later.

Akaris sighed then fell down but then a light flashed around the hawk and three objects fell to the floor.
