To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 130: I’ll wait until Christmas
Myung-woo looked at Yun-tae, his eyes slightly furrowing. What a way to end their sweet conversation.
"I know he doesn’t like me like that, but still, we’re in a relationship, and..." Yun-tae clapped his face with his hands. "What should I do? I’m starting to feel awful because I really..." His face grew red again as he confessed. "... Liked the kiss."
Myung-woo, who was slowly getting annoyed, heard this and sighed, letting go of whatever annoyance was building up in him.
"Just look at it like this," he said, "I’m the one who forced a kiss on you. Whether you liked it or not doesn’t matter."
"But..."
"Do you wish to continue your relationship with your boyfriend?" Myung-woo asked and Yun-tae fell silent, his gaze slowly falling.
At this rate, he was certain he could not continue as Kang-woo’s boyfriend. His heart already belonged to Chin-hwa and they would end up together eventually.
So, why persevere when he knew there would be no outcome to his struggles?
But he was worried that if he was no longer dating Kang-woo, he wouldn’t have a reason to hang out so closely with them anymore.
If he tagged along, he would feel like the third wheel and each of his actions would look like he was hindering their future together.
The thought of it made him sad but he really... Really liked them both to the point that he would rather hide the fact that he knew of their relationship than let them know and cause things to become awkward.
But in doing that, he would only be punishing himself.
"Is this something you have to think deeply about?" Myung-woo asked. "Do you like them that much?"
Yun-tae pursed his lips and shook his head.
"It’s not that." He said. "I just can’t break out of the relationship right now. There are still so many things I haven’t said and done."
"Yun-tae," Myung-woo asked and Yun-tae looked up to find a rather jealous expression on Myung-woo’s face. "The thought of you wanting to be in another man’s arms makes my heart ache."
"No, no, it’s nothing like that." Yun-tae immediately answered, flapping his hands in his defense. "I didn’t mean anything intimate. It’s more like..., well," he darted his eyes away.
How was he going to explain things?
"Hyung," Yun-tae called softly. "Please, give me some time to think about your confession and also sort out my break-up." He requested.
Myung-woo honestly had no choice. If Yun-tae needed time, he would give it to him. But... He was worried that whoever he was dating would try to hold on to Yun-tae and not let go. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
If that happened, he had to call him right away.
"Then, call me if things don’t go well." Myung-woo said and Yun-tae nodded, once again hugging him.
It felt nice.
"Also, I’ll wait until Christmas." Myung-woo said and Yun-tae opened his eyes. "Please, give me a reply by then."
"Christmas," Yun-tae muttered softly.
So, he was giving him ten days to settle things.
"I wish to enter the new year with you in my arms, Yun-tae." He confessed, bringing his face close and he planted a soft kiss on his cheek before whispering in his ear. "So, please hurry up and be mine."
That rushed and impatient tone sounded so sexy. Yun-tae ended up covering his ear because of how stimulating it was which made Myung-woo smirk.
"I... I understand," Yun-tae answered with a flushed face.
To think they would lead to this path. After a stroke of misfortune comes a stroke of good fortune.
At least, that was how some superstition went.
"Now that we’re alright," Myung-woo said and Yun-tae went back to his seat. "Let’s get back to business. I still haven’t forgotten that some bastard made you cry, Yun-tae. So, tell me. What happened?’
Yun-tae watched the dark look in Myung-woo’s eyes. The fact made him very angry that his countenance had turned dark and cold.
It was a little scary but this made Yun-tae happy.
Happy that he was mad on his behalf. It made him feel at ease and able to tell the reason he was crying more comfortably.
"Honestly, I don’t think anything would change even if you found out why I was crying." He said. "After all, it’s all set in stone, and I... Have to do my duty as a son."
Myung-woo’s eyebrows furrowed. So, this was a family issue.
"My father got remarried before I entered college and I haven’t seen or heard from him since then. It’s been three years." Yun-tae explained. "I’ve been happy without his inclusion in my life and my life has been normal too, since my life up until I left that house was nothing but a nightmare that I could never wake up from."
Myung-woo listened closely, watching Yun-tae’s saddened expression but it wasn’t so bad since he was saying all this with a light heart.
"I thought I was finally free since he didn’t contact me anymore. He originally hated me so I thought he decided to assume I didn’t exist after I left, but today I got a text message." He took out his phone, bringing out the text, and showed it to Myung-woo.
Myung-woo read the message, his eyes widened and then they furrowed angrily.
"He wants me to perform a bone marrow transplant to a brother I never knew I had." He said. "For the first time, my father actually needs me for something, but to think it was for something so absurd. I couldn’t help but cry. He also called and..." His heart grew heavy and he bit his lip. "He is still the same. He hates me even more now that I’m on my own and all grown up. He... He just doesn’t see me as a person or his child. He sees me as--"
"That’s enough, Yun-tae." Myung-woo interrupted him and Yun-tae turned to find him clenching on the steering wheel with one hand and the other hand clenching on his phone.
His body was trembling in rage.
"If you say anymore, I don’t think I can control myself." He said. "Someone like that that makes Yun-tae cry... I wish I could..." He sighed, letting go of his anger, and said, "Yun-tae, what do you want to do? I won’t let that bas- that man do whatever he wants. It’s your life so it’s your choice if you want to do a bone marrow transplant or not."
