Chapter 93 - Was this... a premonition?
"Well, you have nothing to worry about. He's an acquaintance." Woo-bin said. "I hope you're not troubled by the questions. I just needed to make sure he didn't disrespect you while he was around."
"No, he... He didn't."
"Then, that's good to hear." Woo-bin said. "I thought he might've done something offensive with the guise of a helper, but that's a relief."
"Well, he didn't do any of that. He was a great help, actually. If not for him... wait, has he left already?" Yun-tae asked, suddenly catching that part of Woo-bin's words, and Woo-bin nodded.
"Yeah, he was in a hurry for some reason. Said he needed to head back to work which I think is a lie because he hates working more than anything." Woo-bin teased and laughed. "Anyway, did you want to pass on a message? I can do it for you."
"Ah," Yun-tae exclaimed and lowered his head. He missed his chance to thank him. "If you see him again, please help me send my thanks."
"Well, that won't be a problem." Woo-bin said. "Alright, we're heading out now. Make sure to put your seatbelts on."
Chin-hwa did so and while he did, he watched Yun-tae. Just now... Did Yun-tae's eyes flicker?
He couldn't be sure since he was acting all flustered like something was embarrassing he could not disclose but... He was certain that there was something in Yun-tae's eyes when he was speaking about the guy he had encountered.
And speaking of that guy, he did not originally know who Yun-tae was talking about till his daddy said, 'That guy hates working more than anything.' It was definitely Myung-woo.
He was a nice guy but didn't like sticking his nose to unrelated people's business but he went out of his way to help Yun-tae to the extent that Yun-tae was flustered.
What was going through his mind?
Did he help because he knew he was his friend?
Unlike the rest, who were suckers for him, Myung-woo wasn't all that attached to Chin-Hwa, and even if he wanted to, no one would give him room to do so, even if he was basically like an extra son of the house already.
He was calm and made rational decisions, so he would possibly be a great partner if whoever was with him could get past his teasing attitude and nonchalance to his profession.
But well, they say love changes a man so he had no idea how Myung-woo would act towards the person he would eventually fall in love with.
And while Chin-hwa was thinking of this, he had his eyes on Yun-tae.
Was this... A premonition?
Woo-bin pulled over next to Kang-woo's family house and said,
"I'll just wait right here so call if you need me."
But Chin-Hwa coldly said to him,
"It's enough, daddy. We don't need you anymore."
This broke Woo-bin's heart and he clutched his chest. He gripped the steering wheel while clenching his teeth.
It was because of that Kang-woo again. His beloved Hwa claimed he didn't need him again because Kang-woo could drive them to wherever they were going.
"Who taught that kid how to drive?" He felt so bitter but let it go really quickly. If he didn't know how to drive, he would've been disqualified as a potential spouse after his return.
But then, even if he didn't know how to drive, there still wasn't anything they could do about it. He had this thing that would've hindered him from doing anything in the future.

"Tsk, I'll let it slide this time. Just don't make my Hwa cry anymore." Woo-bin said and drove away.
Chin-hwa's decision to head to Kang-woo's house was quite surprising, to be honest. They all believed he still held a slight bitterness in his tongue when it came to that place filled with Kang-woo's presence.
But it looked like something changed his mind when he went there the previous week. No matter what it was, Woo-bin hoped it was a good change and would stay that way.
Chin-hwa pushed the doorbell button and after a few seconds of waiting in anticipation, the door opened.
"Oh, Chin-hwa," Lee Ga-ram exclaimed, surprised to see him there out of the blue. "And..." He glanced at Yun-tae. "Yun-tae, right?"
"Yes, sir." Yun-tae nodded. "Good afternoon."
"Afternoon to you too," Ga-ram smiled at him and he flushed. He was also pretty like Hae-won but had a bit more sophisticated air around him.
In a word, he was classy.
"Sorry to barge in on you but is Kang-woo available at the moment?" Chin-hwa asked, walking in and Yun-tae following after him.
Lee Ga-ram closed the door as he said,
"Well, I don't think he's ever not available when it comes to..." He paused his words, thinking it was for the best that he did not finish it. "Anyway, I thought he went over to your place about an hour ago to give you something, but he returned just as soon as he left."
"Hm? But I didn't see him though." Chin-Hwa said but Yun-tae pursed his lips and said,
"I... I saw him." He said and they turned to him. "I think he talked a bit with your siblings but I don't know what happened after that since I had to go bath."
"Then, maybe he didn't actually go there for you." Ga-ram said but Chin-hwa wasn't exactly sure that was a thing. Unless Ga-ram sent him an errand, he didn't think Kang-woo would go over to his place without having him in mind.
And even if he did go there with another agenda, he didn't see a reason why he wouldn't stop to say hi.
Chin-hwa suddenly clasped his cheeks, shocking them.
'Am I just being overconfident? The world doesn't revolve around just me.'
"Are you okay?" Yun-tae asked and Chin-hwa nodded.
"Yeah, I just needed to clear my head a bit." He said and then turned to Ga-ram. "Um, would you perhaps know what that 'something' was?"
"Not exactly sure but he said something about a score." Chin-hwa's eyes widened. "It's probably a music note."
'Ah, that's it. The score I vehemently rejected.' Chin-hwa thought, a bit of guilt stabbing at his heart. "Where is he now?"
"He's in the music room." Ga-ram answered. "He locked himself in there ever since he got back and I..."
Chin-hwa did not wait for him to finish his words and waved.
"Alright, I'll go see him." He said, leaving Yun-tae confused. Does he follow or not? Would it be rude or...?
His eyes asked these questions as he glanced at Ga-ram and then at Chin-hwa's fleeting figure. He was caught on a thin thread and Ga-ram laughed.
He was acting so adorable.
"Would you like a cup of tea?" Ga-ram asked Yun-tae who slumped in defeat and said,
"Yes, please."
Well, maybe this was a good thing. He'd let them both talk and... He shut his eyes, pressing his eyelids together as he fought that feeling of jealousy that happened to be overwhelming him.
It wasn't his place to interfere but I'm his heart... Deep in his subconscious, he wished that he would have equal rights to make Chin-hwa happy just as much as any other person.
He pressed his lips tightly together.
Chin-hwa headed for the music room. Even if it had been a long time since he explored this mansion, he was still quite familiar with the layout and where everything was located.
After all, three years of absence could not easily override his knowledge of more than 15 long years.
He got to the music room, stood in front of it, and exhaled.
He had asked himself several times how he was going to face Kang-woo after knowing all that he did. He asked himself what face he could make or the words to say.
Suddenly, it was like he was planning to meet him after a very long period of time. It was as if he was truly welcoming him back after his long absence... All along, he had simply never actually... Welcomed him.
He pressed his lips together, fighting his sudden tears, and then reached for the door handle.
Since it was a music room, the walls were reinforced so that it would be completely soundproof.
He took in one deep breath and opened the door, only to be greeted by the sweet melody of a sonata.
He gulped as his eyes fell on Kang-woo whose back was facing the door as he drowned himself in his music, pouring out his emotions and his pain through his fingers and onto the keys of the magnificent white keyboard.
Heartache... Regret... Apology... Chin-hwa could feel all of that coming from one musical note.
Downstairs, Yun-tae heard the melody for the brief moment the door was opened and his eyes grew teary. Just what on earth was that sound note.
"He must be drowning himself again," he heard Ga-ram say and turned to find him, a mother, looking sad to hear her son's pain through music. "I hope this ends quickly," he added, rubbing his face and trying to hide the fact that he had gone teary-eyed.
Yun-tae was silent. Everyone knew it. Chin-hwa and Kang-woo were in a world of their own.
'I don't think... I belong there.' he thought, sipping his tea. 'But I...' he dropped his mug and stared at the ripple. '...want to be a part of their world as well. Is that too much to ask?'
