To the Love of My Life-Chapter 886 - Ruby Time: After the Wedding (Ending 12)_1
Chapter 886: Chapter 886 Ruby Time: After the Wedding (Ending 12)_1
Steve Burton could hardly miss the schadenfreude in Alfred Smith’s voice. He had secretly clenched his teeth, but couldn’t think of any retort and stiffly said, “Thanks!”
Alfred Smith shrugged with a grin that was anything but subtle and said, “Then I won’t delay Mr. Burton’s time anymore, goodbye Mr. Burton.”
“Goodbye!” Steve Burton spat out through gritted teeth, thinking to himself that once he got to Florin, he would surely punish that little woman properly!
Alfred Smith didn’t speak but, in front of Steve Burton, took out his phone and called his beloved wife, Emily Gregory: “Sophia? Where are you? I’m coming to pick you up. Yeah, I was supposed to have a work conversation today, but the person I was meeting, he’s off chasing his wife a thousand miles away…”

Steve Burton, striding to the door, heard Alfred Smith say this behind him, yanked the door handle hard, and cursed silently: So cheap!
Then, his figure disappeared around the corner.

In the depths of the night, Florin was equally stunning. Ruby Gregory sat by the glass window, looking out at the sea’s night view and the lights. She sipped her red wine leisurely, seemingly fully enjoying the moment of solitude.
When the wine in her glass had been drained, Ruby Gregory set down her glass and was about to flip the covers to go to sleep, only to hear a knock at the door.
She frowned suspiciously, got out of bed, and walked barefoot to the door. Through the door, she asked, “Who is it?”
There was no response from outside.
Ruby Gregory assumed it was the waiter with a late-night snack and opened the door. But instead, she saw a travel-worn Steve Burton standing in front of her. His expression was unusually calm, but his words seemed to be squeezed out between his teeth as he answered her question, “Wife, it’s me, open the door!”
No sooner had Steve Burton spoken than he gave Ruby Gregory no chance to react, straightforwardly scooped her up in his arms, kicked the door closed with his foot, and walked towards the bed. He threw Ruby onto it and pressed onto her heavily.
“Steve, be gentle!”
“Steve, I can’t take it anymore!”
“Ooh, husband, I was wrong…”
As Ruby’s suggestive words wafted out, her phone suddenly rang with a call that was relentless. Despite Steve’s efforts to stop her, Ruby reached out reluctantly, grabbed the phone, glanced at the caller ID, her eyes instantly brightened, and she hurriedly answered, “Madeleine, why are you calling me so late?”
“Ruby, my flight’s the day after tomorrow. I’m coming back to Ciawell.”

[Tomorrow there will be an extra story about Madeleine Howard~]
Please patiently read the following announcement:
Firstly: “Time of Ruby” will be published. The publication date is yet to be determined. You can look at some information about me below and follow it to know the dynamics of the publication~ If you want to collect it, you can buy a copy~
Secondly: This is the end of the main text. In my original outline, the ending of Madeleine and Howard was exactly like this. Madeleine came back, whether they are okay or not is left to mystery, I never thought many readers would be interested in their story, so there’s an extra part. The extra is the story of Madeleine Howard, not long, I hope to finish in a week (of course, that’s the plan, it won’t take more than ten days at most, since their story isn’t something I can bluff within one or two chapters.)
The story of “Time of Ruby” ends on such a beautiful note, and I think many readers who liked “Time of Ruby” but not “Madeleine Howard” might have to say goodbye here. So, I’ll say my concluding words in advance.
I hope when my next book comes out, we can meet again. From November 10th, starting the novel, to 0:21 AM on March 6th for the finale, it took about 120 days. One-third of a year, it turns out I’ve been with you for so long. In these 120 days, there have been praises and criticisms, but regardless, I’m very happy to have been accompanied by all of you on this journey.
I am Ye Fei Ye, who wrote “The Beauty of Li Nian”, “Heartless Qi Qi”, “Fleeting Time”, “Darling of the Sea”, “Deep Love”, “Late Prosperity”, “Clinging Love”, “Beautiful Times”, “Time of Ruby”, “Madeleine Howard”.
I am Ye Fei Ye, cherished, indulged, and protected by all of you.
I am Ye Fei Ye, who has been with Tencent for six years.
In these six years, I have gotten to know so many wonderful people, my Ruby Time supporters.
If it wasn’t for you, I don’t think I would be so happy.
I hope you will still be there for the next book.
The new book is tentatively scheduled for release on May 12th, which is about two months away. 512, it’s about love, about loving you all~ I hope you love me too! Let’s meet again on that day~
The new book is roughly outlined, and the one-liner synopsis goes like this: We’re all trying our best to love each other deeply but forgetting to say “I love you” to one another.
I really don’t want to say goodbye, but I have to. I can’t write a multimillion-word novel, nor can I accompany you for two or three years with just one book. So I can only write two more books within a year to let you read two complete stories and thereby spend more time with you.
I write with my heart, although I haven’t managed to satisfy each and every one of you, but I still say the old saying: please believe me, I am really trying hard to write stories that will satisfy you.
Lastly: There will be no update today~ Tomorrow will resume the regular update time for the story of Madeleine Howard. Readers who like it can continue reading, those who don’t, we part with sorrow and smiles~~ I’ll see you in the next book~~~
I believe in the quality of my cliffhangers, no abandoned stories, and no dragging on. When it’s time to finish, I finish~ So, when you see my pen name on the next book, feel proud to fall into the trap~ May 12th, don’t miss it~
Although it’s a few minutes late, I still want to send you a belated blessing: Happy Lantern Festival!
Finally, my WhatsApp public platform is yefeiye000, my Twitter is Ye Fei Ye the Fairy, and my interest group is Ye Fei Ye (follow these three to get updated on new book dynamics and others).
Also, here’s a group number for readers who haven’t joined a group yet: 392070740 and 210441719
Lastly, Twitter is running an event giving away beautiful pens for free~ Everyone can participate~ Consider it a small parting gift~~ I’ll go update my Twitter right away~~

Those who want to read about Madeleine Howard, remember to come read tomorrow~ And for those who have been lurking for so long without ever popping up, isn’t it time to come up for air?
