Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 754: No Room for Negotiation
The little meatball eventually went along with them.
Talking about the name "Meatball," it was actually Aurelia who came up with it, because it looked so chubby, just like a meatball.
Aurelia threatened to chop it up and eat it as a meatball, scaring the little creature so much that it dared not approach her for four or five days, hiding from her all the while.
Aurelia thought this little creature was quite clever.
The mountain top club had no one else there, and Aurelia couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at Mason Nightshade.
Mason explained, "Closed for renovations."
In reality, he had made this decision a few days earlier, ordering it temporarily to be shut down to use as a training ground for just the two of them, without any outside disturbances.
Aurelia didn’t doubt him, put her luggage inside the room, and took off her overcoat.
Seeing Mason wanted to bring his luggage in, she blocked him at the door, "I just checked, there are several rooms here."
"So?"
"So, you can stay in the room across the hall."
"Reason." Mason looked displeased.
"After training, we’ll definitely be very tired. It’s better for the two of us to have separate rooms."
"Invalid reason."
Mason dragged his suitcase inside, and Aurelia blocked him once more, her red lips curving as she patted his wolf head, "Be good, listen, okay?"
Mason gritted his teeth, "Being cute won’t work!"
Aurelia looked at him for two seconds, her gaze suddenly turning cold, "Then I won’t be cute. Mason, stay in the room across the hall."
Mason didn’t move.
Aurelia added, "There’s no room for negotiation."
Honestly, this guy was too clingy. If she didn’t handle it, she worried she’d have no energy left after training during the day, and would still have to deal with him at night.
Mason held out for two seconds. Seeing Aurelia unmoved, he picked up his suitcase and went to the room across the hall. He looked back at Aurelia once more, his gaze... was pitiful, and the wolf tail behind him drooped dispiritedly.
But Aurelia knew, now was absolutely not the time to be soft-hearted. If she softened, this man’s scheming would succeed.
...
The next day, the training began.
At five o’clock in the morning, Mason knocked on Aurelia’s door.
"Mason?" Aurelia, still in a daze, came to open the door for Mason. How long had it been since she got up this early? Even when acting, as a supporting role, she never had to wake up this early.
Lacking sleep, Aurelia rubbed her temples to ease her headache.
Mason looked her up and down, restrained the wild beating of his heart and the urge to pull her into his arms for a deep kiss, and said hoarsely, "Go change and freshen up. We’re going for a morning run later."
Aurelia closed the door, went inside to freshen up and change clothes.
Ten minutes later, she opened the door, already refreshed, "Let’s go."
Mason watched her back as she walked, curling his lips. As expected of his woman, luckily he hadn’t missed out.
They ran for over an hour, and Aurelia’s stamina was already at its limit. Her body rarely exercised, and an hour was her maximum. She knew she couldn’t keep going any longer.
Just as she was about to speak up and call it quits, Mason seemed to sense she was hitting her limit, switching their fast run to a slow walk, "Let’s walk and rest for a bit. Stopping immediately after strenuous exercise can overwhelm the body."
"Okay," Aurelia panted as she walked.
Mason walked beside her, softly chuckled, his breathing not even a bit disturbed, teasing, "Aurelia, you’re really useless."
Aurelia glared at him, "Someone who doesn’t usually exercise at all, after half an hour of fast running and half an hour of fast walking, can still talk to you normally. That’s already her limit."
