Transcending Realms With My Leveling System As A Demon-Chapter 109: Understanding
[Regeneration Completed!]
[Congrats!]
Zylus was now able to comprehend his situation and more of what he was put in. Victor Kane, the dominant sovereign’s domain, was much more than meets the eye. There was no barrier, or nothing magical covering around them, not at all.
’Dominant’ comes from the latin verses, to rule or to dominate something. This wasn’t any expansion, nor did Victor purposely use this term as a showcase of what it was, but this was more than a simple domain; it was the truth.
Victor’s abilities extended more than one would perceive, including the individual’s ability to understand. Though, how did Zylus understand this was the question.
"Hehhhr!" Zylus yelled, trying to break out of these irritating shackles. "Hehhr-"
"I told you already," Victor blinked, looking back to watch him, "You can’t move-"
"What was that?" Zylus smirked, angling his head forty degrees to the right, "I couldn’t hear you quite well."
Victor’s shocked face said it all; he was confused, suffering from the dire amount of questions that flooded his mind.
’How did he get out?’
’How did he conquer my dominion?’
’But, he was placed inside my domain.’
A sovereign has a sure hit, an ability that their opponent can not fatefully or physically escape from. It shouldn’t be possible, not at all.
Passing this information, for some reason, Zylus’s injuries were also fully healed now. Well, it was evident through his system, but Victor didn’t understand how. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
From his basic knowledge of Htrae, where Zylus inhabits, he never met a Demon as quick, as perceptive, aside from Medrus Miro, of course. But another aspect that flooded this relation between the two was the fact of how Zylus can heal.
The reason Medrus’s abilities were understandable to Victor was that he was half-Spirit and half-Demon, demonstrating his blessings and extreme prowess.
Victor still stood in one place, motionless, just stuck in that same frame he first saw Zylus in front of him.
"Speak then," Zylus whispered while creepingly sneering, "Or I’ll kill her."
He pointed at Patricia, who stayed, stained with blood, down on the wooden floor, as her corpse slowly rotted away. An even bigger red whole into her boy was now shown.
"You pierced her again, didn’t you?" Victor’s gaze darkened, "She wasn’t rotten like that when I first dealt with you."
Zylus chuckled, "Oh, her," he smiled, "I just dealt with her."
Victor kept his cool, "So, what, is she dead?" He asked curiously.
"But you don’t care about her, is what I thought." Zylus stretched, "So, why would I tell you?" His white teeth tightened between each other, in waves of butterflies escalating from his excitement.
Victor finally moved, not towards Zylus, but stretching his body wide, "How did you escape?"
Zylus laughed again, "So, I’m right, aside from your speed and physical strength, putting me into your domain was all that you, as a sovereign, can do."
A sharp tingle struck Victor’s emotions, one of anger, "Just tell me, dammit!" He demanded.
Zylus’s grin widened, "Okay, okay, calm yourself." He said, while looking at Victor, intensely.
"You vermin! Don’t look down on me!" Victor yelled again, "I’ll kill you!"
"Then, come and try it." Zylus unbotherdly demanded, "Why don’t you?"
Victor’s fists clenched, he was ready to go for Zylus, but for some reason, a reason he couldn’t explain, he was shaking. Was this the first time? No, he felt the same way toward the other two above him, the same type of way Zylus made him feel.
No, this was more. Victor dropped the blade he was holding in his left palm, not purposely, but accidentally. Was it an accident, really? Or was it his unjustifiable fear, rising onto his skin with ease?
Zylus stared him down, waiting for Victor to retaliate before explaining. But, to his surprise, Victor stayed. The moon poured its light even further downwards, almost as if Zylus and the moon were spiritually connected.
So, he stood in one position, questioning himself, Victor did, trying to wonder how he had lost his once unbearable aura to a man in front of him, piercing into his gaze as if he was the sovereign of nothing.
Victor was able to move; there was nothing physically stopping him, but it felt almost as if Zylus hit him with a mental attack, where he couldn’t function properly anymore.
"Well then, while you stand in that same position, I guess it would be better if I explained." Zylus took a seat on the colosseum’s stone while watching Victor struggle to move, "Well, sit, I’ll explain."
For some reason, Victor’s father followed, "W-why. Why is my body going against my will?" Victor pondered on that thought out loud, whispering to his own pathetic position.
As both of them finally took a seat, Zylus brought both his hands out, showing a clear sign of his own arrogance.
"To begin," Zylus paused, "I understood everything from the beginning, how you ’abnormals’ function, with your own Domain."
Zylus paused, as Victor stared intently at him.
"All the power you’ve earned, aside from your speed and physical prowess, is exchanged for your own Domain." Zylus used his index finger to swipe from left to right, "But, there was a big flaw in this. It works on ninety-nine point nine percent of individuals, because no one can truly understand their own identity."
Victor realized it; he now acknowledged Zylus knew more than he actually did.
"This is exchanged with the unknown system that also created Limitless, Sensation, and of course, this domain." Zylus spoke as if he was aware of every aspect in relation to what he was talking about, "Each sovereign is given separate abilities. Each one of those abilities, given to all sovereigns were separate, although there was something they all had alike."
Victor looked at Zylus, as though he was a human seeing the form of a true God in front of them.
"They all require complete manipulation of one’s soul. Meaning, every sovereign needs to be able to toy with one’s sense of self, or rather, their identity."
Now, Zylus cut all the slack, because this was the breakpoint.
