Chapter 265: Evelyn Visits Ren

Ren turned to Althea and grinned playfully. "Are you jealous?"

"No." she responded, "I’m only curious because you previously said you had never gone to another region, yet you know someone from Misty Palace. Isn’t it strange?"

He grabbed her right hand and said, "Then, let’s head to my tent now. I will tell you everything in detail there."

She didn’t fight back when he dragged her to his tent. "Why do I feel like you are going to take advantage of me later?"

"Because that is what I’m planning to do." He answered honestly without feeling shy.

She covered her mouth and giggled, "What a pervert young man!"

Right after the duo stepped into his tent, they did adult activities right away. Once they were satisfied, he began telling her about his relationship with Evelyn.

"I see." Althea uttered.

The duo was currently lying on the bed.

Unlike usual, they put on their clothes right after they did it.

They were in the camp, so they could not afford to act carelessly.

"So, what is your plan now? You are not going to betray me, right?" she inquired.

"Of course, not! I only care about her, not the Misty Palace. If they try to stop us later, I will kill them without hesitation." He was not lying when he said this because Evelyn and Misty Palace were two different things in his eyes.

"I like your answer." She smiled softly.

Once he finished telling everything, Althea left his tent to meet Commander Raiden.

Ren immediately absorbed beast cores when he was alone because he was so close to breaking through to the next rank.

At 05:00 pm, Evelyn left the Tuiziya Kingdom’s camp to meet Ren.

She wore a hooded black robe that concealed her figure and face because she was heading into enemy territory.

’Which one is his tent?’

Evelyn, who was standing on a tree branch, scanned the enemy camp.

’Hmm? Isn’t that person his underling?’

She spotted Kairos as she looked for Ren’s tent.

’I will ask him to take me to Ren.’

With that idea in mind, she jumped down from the tree.

Kairos was startled when he saw her in their camp because Misty Palace was the Tuiziya Kingdom’s ally.

"Eh, you! Aren’t you the lady fro-"he could not finish his words because Evelyn covered his mouth immediately.

"Take me to Ren now." She asked him to bring her to Ren’s tent, but her tone made it sound like a command.

Kairos nodded immediately because she threw herself into Ren’s arms in the arena, so he believed she was not an enemy.

"By the way, what is your relationship with my leader?" he asked curiously.

Evelyn didn’t answer his question and kept following him from behind.

"Do you want to meet my leader because you miss him?" he threw another question at her.

However, she said nothing like before, causing black lines to form on his forehead.

’Hey, isn’t it cruel to ignore me? I’m currently helping you, you know?’

He could only sigh because he could not do anything about it.

"We have arrived. That is leader’s tent." Kairos said as he pointed his right index finger at a big red tent.

Just as Kairos led Evelyn to the entrance of the tent, a sudden burst of energy exploded from within.

The tent’s flap snapped open, and both Kairos and Evelyn instinctively stopped walking as their clothes fluttered in the force.

"Leader has broken through to the next rank." Kairos’ face instantly turned happy. "I wonder which class is it?"

"Breaking though..." Evelyn muttered.

"Leader, a lady from before wants to meet you." Even though the tent’s flap was open, Kairos didn’t enter Ren’s tent because he would not walk in without permission.

Ren, who was sitting cross-legged on the bed, opened his eyes slowly.

’Evelyn?’

A soft smile spread across his face when he found out who his guest was.

"You came?" Ren got out of bed and approached them.

"Leader, which class broke through to the next rank?" Kairos asked excitedly. "Was it the Mage class? Or the Warrior class?"

"Both classes," Ren answered honestly.

"Both classes?" Kairos’ eyes shone brightly. "Leader, you are indeed the best!"

"Kairos, you can leave now." Ren wanted to be alone with Evelyn, so he kicked Kairos out of his tent.

"Have fun, leader!" Kairos laughed as he left.

The corner of Ren’s lips twitched.

’What do you mean by saying have fun? I only want to chat alone with her, nothing more than that.’

He stole a glance at Evelyn to see her reaction because Kairos’s words made it sound like they were about to do something lewd in the tent.

’Good!’

He sighed in relief when he saw her expression hadn’t changed because that meant she hadn’t misunderstood Kairos’s words.

"Evelyn, let’s sit on the chairs." Ren said as he smiled.

"Un." She nodded.

The duo sat side by side because it felt more comfortable than sitting face to face.

"Did they make things hard for you earlier?" she threw herself into his embrace on the arena, so he was really worried when she returned to her tent.

"No." she was the future leader of Misty Palace, so Nolan and the others would not dare to do that.

"That’s great!" he finally felt relieved.

"Ren, how strong are you now?" she asked curiously.

Instead of answering her question, he asked, "Hmm? Why are you asking that question?"

"Nothing. I’m just curious." She replied.

"My Mage class is already at 5-star while my Warrior class has reached Unity rank." He gave an honest answer.

"Back when I first met you, I was stronger than you. But in just two years... you’ve already surpassed me. You are really a monster, Ren." she was sure no one would believe her if she told them how fast his progress was because it sounded more like a fairy tale than reality.

The corner of his lips twitched.

’Why did you call me monster again?’

It was the second time she had labeled him a monster.

The first time was when he revealed his grade talent two years ago.

"Hmm? What’s wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing." He replied.

Then, the duo continued talking.

As they continued their relaxed conversation, his women approached his tent.

"Ren..." Scarlett waved her right hand while wearing a happy face.

"Scarlett?" Ren rose from his chair and approached them with a soft smile.

"Oh! You have a guest? Who is she?" Lexie asked curiously.

"Hmm?" Althea was shocked when she saw Evelyn, but she didn’t show it on her face.

’Isn’t she the woman from before?’

She didn’t kick Evelyn out of his tent because she knew Evelyn came for him.

Evelyn shifted her gaze to his women.

’He is surrounded by many beautiful women.’

She was still not aware of their relationship because he hadn’t mentioned it to her before.

"She is Evelyn." After saying that, he turned to Evelyn. "Evelyn, come here."

Evelyn approached them and introduced herself. "Hi, everyone. I’m Evelyn."

"I’m Scarlett!" Scarlett said with a big smile.

"Lexie." Lexie said as she smiled softly.

"I’m Zaria." Zaria said.

"I’m Althea," Althea said. "We met on the arena this morning."

Evelyn was startled when Althea introduced herself.

’Althea?’

She felt like she had heard her name somewhere before.

’Don’t tell me...’

She finally remembered where she had heard her name.

"Are you the Queen of Veneian Kingdom?" Evelyn asked.
