Chapter 266: Chatting in Ren’s Tent

Althea removed her veil and smiled softly. "Yes. I’m the Queen of the Veneian Kingdom."

"Then why are you here? Shouldn’t you be overseeing the war at this moment?" Althea was a queen, so Evelyn found it strange to see her in Ren’s tent, especially since her kingdom was still at war with the Tuiziya Kingdom.

"Well, I need some rest to restore my energy, so I came to his tent." Althea felt calm and happy whenever she was with him, so she always came to him when she was tired.

"Why him? Why didn’t you just rest in your chamber?" Evelyn threw another question at Althea.

"You see, this man here seduced me shortly after we met, so I fell into his arms and became one of his women. As for the reason I came to his place, you don’t need me to say it outright, do you?" Evelyn was an adult, so Althea believed she knew the reason why she came to him when she was exhausted.

"One of his women?" Evelyn widened her eyes before slowly turning her head toward Ren.

"Yes. We are all his women." Althea revealed everything.

The corner of his lips twitched.

’Why do I feel like I’ve become a bad guy in her eyes?’

The way Evelyn stared at him was different from before, as if she were looking at a playboy.

"Well, a lot of things happened in the last two years..." he could not deny that he was a playboy because he had more than one woman. "But just for your information, I didn’t seduce this beautiful, sexy queen. It was the other way around." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"What do you mean by that? Didn’t you sneak into my tent every single night when we were heading to the border?" Althea twisted the truth because it was a perfect time to tease him.

"Althea, do you want to get punished?" of course, what he meant was sex because there was no way he would hurt his woman.

Althea, who knew the meaning behind his words, accepted it instantly. "I don’t mind it. Do you want to punish me now?"

Evelyn was stunned by their conversation because she had never seen this side of him before.

’So, he also has this kind of personality.’

She had always seen him as a pure, kind, and gentle young man, but now, she finally realized there was a lewd side hidden behind that soft smile.

’Well, I guess it’s normal because he is also a man.’

But even so, she felt awkward listening to their conversation because she still wasn’t used to hearing him talk that way.

"Sister Evelyn, you are also in love with Ren, right? How about you officially become his woman now?" Scarlett suspected Evelyn had special feelings for him, so she encouraged her to take their relationship to the next step and join his harem.

Evelyn and Ren turned to her in surprise.

"Scarlett, you got it wro-"Ren didn’t want to put Evelyn in a tight situation, so he tried to clear up the misunderstanding immediately.

But before he could finish his words, Evelyn said, "We don’t have that kind of relationship. He is my benefactor."

"Benefactor, huh? Is throwing yourself into his arms in front of everyone something you normally do for your benefactors?" Althea believed Evelyn was in love with him, so she teased her when she didn’t want to admit it.

"Well, it was..." Evelyn didn’t know what to say because her body moved on its own when she saw him in the arena this morning.

Althea covered her mouth and giggled softly. "Don’t panic like that. I’m just teasing you."

"Ah!" Evelyn didn’t know how to react because she had never been in this situation before.

"How about we sit and talk at the table? Standing around like this isn’t the best, is it?" Ren uttered.

"Alright." They agreed instantly.

Ren retrieved more chairs from his space ring and put them around the table.

Even though it was their first time gathering in one place and chatting together, Evelyn found herself feeling comfortable with the atmosphere quickly.

Scarlett and the others welcomed her warmly so she didn’t feel like an outsider.

"Ren, be careful with the first elder." Evelyn warned him softly. "She is fiercely protective of those she loves. I’m sure she will come after you and won’t let you off, no matter what."

"Don’t worry. Both of my classes have advanced to the next rank, so I can deal with her easily." He was confident that he could kill Nathalie in a one-on-one fight.

"Ren, both of your classes have broken through to the next rank?" his women said in surprise.

"Yes." Ren nodded.

"You are indeed the best, Ren!" Scarlett praised him instantly.

"But you still should not underestimate her. She is our first elder for a reason." She didn’t want him to underestimate Nathalie because one mistake could cost him his life.

"I never underestimate my enemy, but I believe in myself," he replied with a smile.

"It’s good, then." After saying that, Evelyn changed the topic.

Like before, she felt warm and happy during their conversations.

Although they sometimes teased her, she found it genuinely enjoyable.

In fact, she even felt that talking with them was much better than chatting with her fellow disciples because there seemed to be an invisible wall when she interacted with the disciples of Misty Palace.

"It’s already 06:00 pm. I need to return now." Actually, Evelyn still wanted to spend time with them, but circumstances prevented her from doing so.

"Then, please be careful on your way back." Ren didn’t force her to stay because it would put her in a difficult situation.

"Un," Evelyn nodded. "See you around, everyone."

"See you." Scarlett waved with a big smile on her face.

"Take care," Althea added.

Evelyn pulled her hoodie over her head before finally leaving his tent.

----

Tuiziya Kingdom’s Camp, Evelyn’s Tent.

Evelyn was sitting on her bed alone.

Neither her fellow disciples nor Nathalie knew that she went to Ren’s tent because she had created Ice Clone before leaving the camp.

’Should I contact Master?’

Even though Ren said he was confident in defeating Nathalie, she could not shake the feeling of worry within her.

’Yes. It’s better to take action now rather than let something bad happen to him later.’

With that idea in mind, she retrieved a communication token from her space ring and contacted her master.

"What’s wrong, Evelyn?" Aurelia asked.

"Master, can you prevent the first elder from joining the war? Perhaps by calling her back to our organization?" Evelyn went straight to the point.

"Evelyn, you knew why she returned to her kingdom, right? Why do you suddenly want me to prevent her from protecting her family?" Aurelia didn’t agree with Evelyn’s request because it involved Nathalie’s family.

Nathalie would blame her and the organization if she lost her family and kingdom.

And it would be bad if she left the organization because she was one of the strongest mages in Misty Palace.

"Master, my benefactor is still alive." Evelyn replied. "This morning, he fought Nolan and severely injured him, so the first elder was furious and declared she would hunt him down."

"I see." Aurelia finally understood everything.

"Then, can you help me, master?" Evelyn asked.
