Scarlet stared back at him boldly, ready to stand her ground. It was not right for them to overly assert themselves in the midst of their parents relationship.

Carolyn gasped and the others looked at Beord. Scarlet was not done, she had barely even scratched the surface of their little secrets.

"They didn’t mean to hurt you, they are just worried." she said.

Mega snorted derisively and rolled her eyes.

"For real, mother, your pregnancy with Illa was difficult on your body. We are just worried and afraid, that’s it. Another sibling is a good thing for our family.

Honestly, we are too small in number compared to other noble families."

For some reason, that bellow made Mega smile.
